If I could give this place negative stars I would. I was scheduled for an invasive neck procedure. I was told I would be completely sedated… 1.) So I wouldn’t feel the pain and B.) So my neck would be absolutely still. Anyone knows that if you move the slightest bit and the doctor slips, you could be paralyzed when messing with the spine. They put an IV in and hooked me up to all sorts of monitors. The anesthesiologist came by and talked to me, he asked the normal questions. I told him I’ve never had a problem with anesthesia or being put under. The doctor came in and I was still wide awake. I asked when they were going to start the sedation. They said they did it already. I said«There’s no way you did, I’m wide awake and I don’t feel at all drowsy or lightheaded. Plus, no one told me that they were administering the medication and they ALWAYS do that.» I was told I was fine. The doctor then proceeded to start the procedure. I felt intense pain and I starting yelling that I was still wide awake and that the pain was unbearable. He again told me again that I was fine. I argued that point. He then told one of the nurses to push more drugs through the IV. She walked away for a second and told him she did it. I again argued. The doctor then just did the entire procedure while I was wide awake and yelling. He kept telling me and the nurse to keep my head/neck still. It was an awful experience and I will never use this facility again. Or the doctor for that matter. If I need something done, I am going to make sure it’s in the main hospital and not this surgery center.
