Love this place. Very friendly staff and great food. Must try this dinner! Home fries for breakfast is the bomb, with huge biscuits. …

We’ve heard great things about this place and our first visit for lunch this afternoon did not disappoint! Their burgers are huge, filled with fresh everything and comes to the table still warm. I had the 8 oz. Mushroom Swiss Burger with a side of Onion rings and fell in love! My hubby had the 8 oz. «Nick and J’s Way» burger with thick cut bacon and it was divine! This is my brand-new burger joint on the West side of Knoxville! Go check ‘em out

Spent $ 9 for 3 drinks and left because they stop serving breakfast at 11:30. Drove out of the way to come here because it says breakfast and brunch tales from the odyssey part 3

This is the best locally owned Diner in Knoxville as far as I’m concerned. The staff knows my friend and I by name and are quick to seat us and serve up our usual. Don and the gang will make sure to make your visit worth it and the food will be a sure reason to come back for sure!

I thought this place was going to be great judging by the other reviews but I was way wrong. Cold gravy, burnt potatoes, chewy pancakes, and awful service. My wife had to get up twice because we never got any attention from the waiter. First we needed an extra fork for my daughter and secondly a refill on our coffee. I am usually a great tipper but felt like in this occasion, I should of got some free food. Hopefully this was a fluke of some kind and only happened because I ordered breakfast at the last 15 miutes of the breakfast shift.

Always a great breakfast here. Service is quick and friendly while the food is made to your needs. Change items no problems. The breakfast sandwiches are always good. I’ve had lunch here too and wasn’t disappointed. Again the variety and service was just as good as breakfast. Go and take the plunge and enjoy this local diner!

The restaurant’s in an old Huddle House beside a convenience store at the light where the Pellissippi exits onto Lovell. Adequate parking for the size of the place. They’re open 7 – 4 Mon-Fri &8 – 2 on Saturday. We got there at 11:30 on a Thursday and found the last parking place and last 2 seats at the counter. Oddly, the lunch crowd thinned a little about 12:15. In addition to a variety of sandwiches & salads, Nick’s offers a different meat &2 Mon-Fri for $ 6.99(or 3 veges for $ 5.50) with a good corn muffin or a great yeast roll. We enjoyed sitting at the counter because we could watch the controlled chaos of the kitchen; guaranteed the staff doesn’t need to be rocked to sleep at nite… they HUSTLE. And the waitresses were friendly & efficient. The owner — constantly busy from food prep — made it a point to ask everyone eating at the counter how we were doing, how’s the food, etc… a nice touch especially as busy as he was. The food was very good. comfort food well prepared with a good variety; had to have a slice of warm cherry pie with ice cream that was the perfect way to end lunch. I’m not a salad guy, but the salads were large & looked fresh. Gotta go back for the burgers! And fries –loads of fries! And the gyros! And saks! Those sandwiches all made me wish I’d been hungry enough to eat again. And they have fresh baklava & brownies at the register; I’m told by a brownie expert that these are the best she’s eaten. The breakfast menu looks as good as the lunches, unless you don’t like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes with whipped cream & toppings, omelets, even breakfast sandwiches… all at great prices. So GLAD my wife brought home a menu to tempt me. Only wish it had been months earlier.

For the best burger in Knoxville, Tn you must visit Nick&J’s. They also have a breakfast menu that can’t be beat.

One of my favorite places in Knoxville! I’ve tried several of their dishes and have yet to find one I didn’t like. One piece of advice, the homemade desserts are worth saving room for!

There are two major things wrong with this place. 1). They are not close enough to my office for me to eat here every day and 2) they close at 3pm The food is great, the staff is friendly and very attentive, and the prices are good. Great slaw, fries, burgers, tea, EVERYTHING!

Seemed like they just opened a can of beans and put them on a plate. No desire to go back.

Being from out of town, we had no clue where to go for breakfast. So glad we checked Unilocal and found this place. True that they have limited seating, but it’s definitely worth the wait. I mean they’re busy for a reason right? The staff was super friendly and quick. Even got to meet the owner who made sure that we were pleased with all our orders.

A lovely no fuss diner in west Knoxville. Good biscuits and gravy. I really like how quick it was to grab a quick breakfast, and the servers are delightful and friendly. I loved talking with them.

I love this hometown diner! The owners are the friendliest folks you will ever meet. They serve breakfast and lunch. Everything from their breakfast food to their lunch I have tried and its fabulous! Everything is cooked to order in house and fresh. I love their panackes and its probably one of my favs. They are very reasonable price wise. I highly recommend dinning with them on a Saturday morning garage sale day! :)

Our family was looking for a family style dining experience for breakfast. We are so happy to have found Nick and J’s Café! The warm friendly greeting set the tone for our experince. We were seated quickly. Our server was efficient in taking our order and delivering our food and beverages. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The portions were great and the taste was even better! Strongly recommend this spot! Absolutely delicious.

We unknowingly stopped by here right before closing time, but they were great about serving us. I had an amazing, delicious, wonderful sandwich with abundant, juicy meat and wonderful fries. The service was amazing, genuine and incredibly warm. If I’m ever in the area again, I will be back for sure!

Very underrated in the Knoxville area. Definitely the one of the best restaurants in the Farragut area(although there is little competition). Food and service is incredible, and the price cannot be beat. You receive large portions for a great price. I only wish they served breakfast all day as they close at 2pm.

Oh this place is good. It should have many more reviews, but the traffic here seems like a loyal, non-yelping crowd. I got breakfast, and I couldn’t help ordering too much food. It was worth it. My French toast was amazing. I got about 3 large pieces sliced to fill my plate with six delicious triangles. They were topped with powdered sugar and each bite was just right. My sides were bacon, paprika seasoned home fries, and a cheese egg. What I like about this place is all the things I didn’t try. Positioned at the counter, I could see they stuffed every omelette full of things. No skimping there. The pancakes looked insanely good. Especially the blueberry pancakes. When I told my server this was my first time she goes, well you got to come back for lunch. Based on previous reviews I bet she’s right. This place seems to cook with love, and that was my favorite part. After years of searching I finally found the answer to my diner fix out west. People have been telling me to try it for a long time, and I wish I would have listened sooner.

Lo’ and behold! I think I found a replacement for breakfasts on Saturdays, or at least a place for a lunch. A coworker of mine suggested this place to try out and well, why not? It was a Wednesday when we got the chance to go this diner that sort of reminded me of a waffle house. Anyways, there is limited seating and as any popular restaurant the lunch rush is sort of insane. So, note if you want to eat here either come early, or late because most likely you’ll be waiting for a seat. Nick & J’s has a big menu as well as specials every day of the week. For me, I ordered the Roast Beef Super Stacked Sub with a side of Mac & Cheese. It was, not absolutely to die for, but it was good. Good meaning that I will come back the next time I get a chance to. Next time I’ll be looking at their breakfast menu as I probably will have my parents with me to scour over the menu looking at the various options.
