Massage Envy Spa

I used to enjoy going every month (former member) to get a massage but I have realized that the membership is really not that good of a deal. The front desk staff here are usually nice until I decided to cancel my membership. She got very snooty with me and kept trying to get me to reconsider even though I had already spoken to someone about it over the phone. I cancelled in the middle of November and she told me I would be charged for December and then I would have one more month to use up all my services (I had two left). I called to make an appointment to use one and she said they had all expired because I was never charged for December. It was very irritating because they told me something different two times. Ultimately, I got screwed out of two services I had already paid for. Also, you would think they would offer me something since they are the ones who screwed up but she just laughed uncomfortably. Not professional. I would not recommend getting a membership; you can’t cancel it for a whole year and then they screw you over. If you do go here; though, I would recommend Jillian, April, and January as therapists; they do an awesome job!

We have been members for over a year now. It is a so sweet to get the couples massage as we do. I don’t know, it makes it special. Like date-​special. We go for the Swedish massage and the deep tissue massage.
They have always been courteous and nice. The place is always very clean and tasteful.
I have discovered an awesome lady who does facials with very good results. You can get a massage or a facial (I think you pay $ 10 extra for the facial) for your monthly.
We have been here about twelve times now! Probably more. I feel lucky we have Massage Envy and that it has helped us incorporate a monthly massage into our busy lives! I never remember who I had the last time but almost every time I’ve had somebody great. Except one time I had a guy give me a massage that was too hard on me but my bad because I think I didnt specify what kind of massage I wanted and didn’t say «ouch!». You are going to love it at Massage Envy. So much bang for yoru buck.

I have been coming here for a couple of years now. The receptionists are welcoming. The waiting area is relaxing, too bad you don’t wait long. Ha. Restrooms and massage rooms are spotless. Hours are very convenient especially during the week. The therapists vary in their specialties so it is a good idea to rotate through until you find one that meets your specific needs.

I was extremely disappointed in the massage here. I’ve had several massages in different States from various therapists. This was by far the worst. She did not give me the type I asked for and wasted about 15 minutes just barely touching me and then stopped short about 10 min for a 1 hour massage. I will not return.

My massage was mediocre at best. It felt like more of a rub down rather than an actual massage. My therapist was able to get out some of my knots (my entire purpose for getting a massage) but there are certainly quite a few that she didn’t get. I definitely did not receive the level of relief from pain that I was seeking. I usually receive a great amount of relief from massage but this was not the case today. I was also highly annoyed that they require a credit card number to even make an appointment. When I was worried about being late because of traffic, I called to tell them and see if I could push back my appointment a little. They were not very understanding and I was told that I couldn’t push my appointment back because I hadn’t called at least 3 hours in advance. Therefore, I was left with the choice of not going and being charged anyways or having less time on the table to get my massage. My experience wasn’t good overall and I definitely won’t be back

DO NOT sign up for a membership. You CANNOT cancel for a full year & if you have any unused massages you LOSE them once you cancel (i.e., if you don’t keep paying you lose all your money & massages). I tried to cancel my membership; I called for 3 months in a row & was told it would be cancelled but they kept charging my credit card. THEN I was told «oh, you can’t cancel until one full year» — which is NOT what I was told every month I called & was told it would be cancelled. After 1 yr, they STILL kept charging my credit card. I had to call AGAIN & have it reversed! THEN I was told I had to use all my outstanding massages within 30 days or lose them all, unless I keep paying a monthly membership (accumulating more massages). Is this relaxing?! AND, NO WAY to contact the corporate office. «Managers» & staff at the facility don’t follow up on what they say they will do. DON“T sign up with the location or this chain! It’s a rip off!

I’ve been here a few times. It’s easier to get appointments here then at the Turkey Creek location. Amanda is awesome!

This was my second massage ever. My first experience was at Spa Visage a few months ago which was 5 stars. Massage Envy is a slight step down. My wife and I decided to have a couples massage taking advantage of their $ 40 deal for first time visitors. The atmosphere lacked tremendously. Waiting area was crowded with people taking loudly down the hallways. Rooms are very plan. Music was all over the place. My massage was actually really good. She worked out a lot of my tension. My wife’s massage on the other hand was awful. The massage therapist failed to do a full body. Overall just an okay experience. Take a look at my Spa Visage review. Just know what you going into. This is not a spa but a convent massage place.

I am extremely pleased with Debbie Lusk at Massage Envy in Bearden. Her knowledge and skills are impressive. She has been able to lead my husband and myself to better health and I go to her on a regular basis for continued good health. She is pleasant, cares, and is very professional.

Nice staff! Have had 3 massages here so far, and all have been really good! Each time I have called to schedule an appointment it has been at the last minute, and they have always gotten me right in.
