Fantastic time! the proprietors here are passionate about this business and eager to share their experience with you. I recommend the tour because there’s so much more to the process than you think, and it’s interesting to learn what goes into making each product. I’m excited about them doing their actual own whisky, and they already have barrels lined up for a first run of bourbon in a few years. My two favorite products were the gin & and the coffee liqueur. You can have a cocktail while you tour, and they also have really great glassware for sale!

Looking for a different Type of Gin to try or a less sugary coffee whiskey. Check out Knox whiskey works haha. Smaller place but real friendly and will definitely will have a bright future.

Knoxville’s first Distillery opened only a day ago, but has been in the making for the last three years. They are open for tours($ 10)that give customers a detailed look inside the distilling process along with a tasting or a cocktail. Right off Gay St you will find the gorgeous brick exposed building that was previously the home of a local architect. Not only do they distill whiskey, but also gin and a coffee liquor. They teamed up with the owner of Java to make an amazing coffee liquor that will bring coffee lovers to tears(happy ones). They also make a vodka, that is distilled at another location. Knox Whiskey Co is a firm believer of using local Non-GMO ingredients to bring the best spirits in East Tennessee. The vodka was surprisingly smooth, but the whiskey is king here. And don’t forget about the coffee liquor made in small batches, I could drink this with cream all damn day! Knox Whiskey Co is doing it right!
