IHOP

My girlfriend and I went this morning for breakfast. I had had a couple bad run ins with this place before, but chocked it up to maybe just flukes. So, since it was close to my house I figured I’d give it one more shot. This place is AWFUL. Seriously. I would stay away completely and plan on never going back and tell my friends and family to beware. We ordered a steak omelette and a breakfast sampler. When it came out it seemed the omelette was not completely cooked and the steak had a funny taste (both my girlfriend and I had some). When complaining about it the server offered another and we declined. While she was at the table I had a question about my eggs as I had requested them scrambled. They looked as if someone messed up a sunny side up egg and broke the yolk to make them «scrambled». I asked the waitress if they looked normal to you. Her response was «We use shell eggs and if you want them some other way you need ask for the carton already scrambled eggs.» If you have ever scrambled in your life you would know that the whites and yolks are mixed making a lighter yellow color and hardly any whites to speak of. After the meal was ended. I didn’t finish my meal because my stomach started to hurt and was unsure why. We got the check and the omelette was still on there. So, as we went up to pay we asked for the manager. The waitresses remark was «But I asked you if you wanted another one.» OF COURSE WE DIDN’T WANT ANOTHER ONE. It tasted awful and something was definitely off. So, in this situation you would normally get it comped off, but she cocked an attitude with us for seemingly no reason than her poor customer service skills. I assure you we were not rude in any sense. We just had questions about the food and some of the preparation. Because it was definitely not right.

Mainly for the whole place. There was a «Break» table next to us with food and other objects on it and even the plates, silverware, and mugs were dirty.

Very disappointed with my experience here. We were two of maybe ten people in the entire store. Our server was quite obviously under the influence of some sort of downers. My mug was covered in lipstick and it was only fixed about 25 – 30 minutes later, when our server finally came back. Then when our food arrived 45 minutes after ordering it, it was cold –and– missing some of the food ordered. One server was very helpful and eventually did everything she could to help us. Not going back.

My husband and I felt like we were eating in an employee break room. Three booths around us had things like salsa bags they were dumping into a stainless tub, another booth for silverware wrapping and another that had creamer and sugar things. I normally don’t complain but it felt more like a work station than a little breakfast getaway with my husband. They also sat a person at a booth and apologized for the mess saying they were refilling the salt and pepper there. We had to pass through the kitchen to get to our table and constantly heard orders being called.

My food was nice and hot. The servers were punctual and friendly. I will return in the future.

I don’t know how this place is still open. Went in this morning with my wife. The place smelled like mop water (most likely from the carpets), there was a party of 3 at a corner booth, yet, somehow the 3 waitresses couldn’t find time to clean off 3 tables full of dirty dishes. My coffee cup had lipstick stains on it. When I told the waitress, she poured my coffee out of that cup and into another dirty cup.
At that point, we left $ 5 for the untouched coffee and walked out.

Bad, bad, bad service and food. Server was indifferent and served our food cold. The 3 meals came at different times and we’re incomplete. We will never go back and will tell our family and friends to stay away. This is the IHOP across from Office Depot on Kingston Pike. I don’t think they have the address right on Unilocal

It is what it is. I would only go late when nothing else was open and I wanted breakfast. For that, it is perfect.

Not good at all. Waiter was extremely clumsy and I caught him right before he landed on my 4 month old daughter. Food took over an hour to get to us and when it did finally start coming out my son got his, and the rest of us waited almost another 20 minutes for ours. He was finished when ours finally came out. Was also very expensive. My son had 1 waffle and it cost us $ 7 OUTRAGEOUS!

The only reason I could give this 2 stars is because our server was nice. However, she could have referred me to the special of the day considering I basically ordered it for a few bucks more than I needed to. Speaking of bucks, IHOP isn’t any cheaper than any other restaurant and the food isn’t on par with typical chains.
We ordered typical breakfast and it was just covered in butter. I’m not a health nut and I don’t mind some grease but this was crazy. Never again.

I’m pretty sure this is the IHOP I stopped at the other day on the way to visit family.
I hadn’t been to an IHOP in years.
The food was hot, and very tasty, and we ate every bite.
The waitress her name was Olga, she was a sweet sweet lady =) I asked for a coffee cup to go ahead and get some coffee and she brought me a cup of fresh hot coffee, she was pretty attentive and was carrying on small conversation throughout our breakfast asking about my son and the person I was traveling with and mentioning how lucky I was.
She really helped make my day actually and breakfast was a plus. So if you’re in Knoxville TN and at exit 108, stop at the IHOP there.
