Great pizza! The sauce is great! Prices are ok. Crust was really good. Alittle greasy but it was pepperoni. Friendly staff. I liked their pizza – nice and cheesy…

Liked everything about this place. It’s nice and clean inside with big comfy booths. You can sit and either watch the creation of the pizzas behind the counter or watch folk walk by on Gay St. The service was prompt and super friendly. The pizzas were HUGE and made super quickly. I had Grandmas Special and it was really good. They weren’t shy with the garlic, which I love. I took more than half of it home to eat later. I liked the beer selection too, although they didn’t have tons of choices. You get it yourself from a cooler in the back of the restaurant. Will definitely return to try more goodies.

This pizza was the fucking JAM! The service was super solid. Ask for Anna. She was basically the best server ever. Ps. Get the garlic knots. You’re welcome.

Walked in quite literally minutes prior to closing on a Tuesday night. Staff was super friendly and prepared a beautiful cheese pizza, ala NYC, for me to take back to motel. Service, food, and price were all A+

Only because I can’t find edible pizza in the area do I continue to go to this place. The owner is a wonderful hard working woman who operates the fabulous BISTRO café as well. The pizza is ok but the counter help sucks-everything is drama with a bad attitude. The cook can make good pies etc… but can’t seem to master a simple made to order request as forwarded by the counter King. Not throwing rocks @ the cook he’s good & knows pizza the rest is poor!

Very friendly staff. I always like when people go out of their way to accommodate for gluten free options. Great gluten free pizza and caprese salad!

Dazzo’s ISNOT a chain pizzeria… it is a locally owned business competing for customers in a difficult niche market with many choices. A week before we went to Knoxville I ran across a recent review online(somewhere that I cannot now locate) that compelled me to try Dazzo’s regardless of other reviews that discuss changes of ownership pro & con. The review was submitted by a PIZZA business owner from Pidgeon Forge who TRIED Dazzo’s when passing by BECAUSE of the AROMAS emanating to the street! ALWAYS A GOODSIGN! I put my trust in his palate! After the 7PM performance of The Nutcracker at the TN Theatre we walked down the block to Dazzo’s around 9:45PM. Not overly busy at that time… perhaps 10 dining in and 6 carry-outs while we were there. One carry-out order was MASSIVE… nearly $ 200. Not too shabby for a late RAINY Wednesday night. TAKENOTICE: the 700 block of S Gay Street ISCLOSEDOFF to thru traffic! There is no parking in that block SOALLCUSTOMERS are going a bit out-of-their-way to get to Dazzo’s… ANDYET the business seems to be doing quite well. I wish we could have tried MANY menu items, but we had had a LATEAFTERNOON meal upon arrival in Knoxville, and we were not going to eat heartily at 10PM. I saw delicious-looking lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs go to other tables. I also wanted to get garlic knots but too late to eat them all by myself… my wife has will power enough to resist and keep both of us from having too much too late. We did order the Dazzo Supreme with regular crust to share… this is a GOURMETPIE compared to pizza-chain«supremes» everywhere. The crust had great taste, texture, and chew. The toppings were fresh, large pieces. The pie had eye-appeal, great aroma, and was delicious. There are MANYPIES on the Dazzo menu that you have never even dreamed of that combination! In addition to entrees, calzones, salads, subs, etc. I asked for some of Dazzo’s marinara for dipping the crust… also very good. The restaurant was staffed by two employees that night, but they seemed to have everything under control. I enquired about the street closure effect on business. It seems that Dazzo’s has a loyal LOCAL customer base that is undeterred by the inconvenience of the street closure that looks like it will last a year before it is reopened. We departed about 10PM, only to return to wait about 30 minutes for a Paradise Taxi. Dazzo’s staff was very gracious, allowing us to sit inside out of the rainy weather as we waited for the cab. At 10:30PM the staff began to close down for the night and we departed. We ended up walking back to our hotel(a half mile) when we were told that the wait for a cab would still be an hour or more. Our experience at Dazzo’s was very good, and we would return again next time we are in downtown Knoxville.

Was skeptical but I’m glad I tried it. My wife’s new go to pizza place. The interior is a no frills approach but has a good and fun vibe to it. We had the four cheese pizza and it was excellent. Fresh dough, the mozzarella cheese was absolutely amazing. We also shared the spaghetti and it was great. The meatballs were fantastic. Fresh and more meat than filler. I didn’t care for the garlic knots as I found them doughy and too seasoned but my wife liked them. To add to our positive review both the wait staff and chefs were friendly and fun. Overall a great place for pizza. This isn’t a place you go for a «dinning experience» but you can’t beat it for good, fresh, delicious Italian. I can’t believe this is owned by the same people who own bistro at the Bijou since I rated it a 1 or two at best. Dazzo’s is a solid 4 or better.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Dazzo’s so I stopped into today for lunch. They had what seemed a good deal for lunch, $ 6.00 for a small salad, a slice of pizza and a drink so I tried that, but spent an extra $ 1.00 to add prosciutto and olives to my slice. So how was it? Very good, just the right amount of chow for lunch. The salad was okay, nothing special but the pizza was excellent. Truthfully Dazzo’s would have gotten 5 Stars but service was weak with only one harried waitress working the entire floor during the lunch rush. So stop by at lunch and you’ll enjoy the food, just make sure you are not in a big hurry.

Disappointed. Said they deliver, call up to get delivery, they only deliver in walking distance. So I WALK there to eat. Get the lunch special and an extra slice. The salad was very good, the pizza was so so. Was over cooked. Overall a fair experience. I would try another place first before going here again.

This place has some seriously great pie and I had no idea! I had eaten at dazzos many years ago and thought it was just so so. It was New York style, which is my absolute favorite, but it wasn’t pie-in-the-sky awesome. I tried it again last week thought and it was great! It changed ownership at some point I believe, and this may have something to do with it. Pie: perfect thickness, crunchy, toppings were delightful and aplenty. I can’t remember the name, but it was a sort of Neapolitan pizza. There was capicola, black olives, chunks of baked garlic, purple onion, and I think drizzles of feta. Whatever it was, it was quite memorable…

My boyfriend and I really like the Grandma’s Recipe pie here. The sauce is super flavorful with extra garlic. It’s different than almost anywhere in town. I have heard that many people had bad experiences with the previous owner, however, the current owner also owns Bistro at the Bijou and she is super sweet. She bought all the recipes along with the location, so although it’s yummy, none of it is authentic to the chefs. If you don’t mind some Jersey attitude, head to Gavino’s in Bearden. Same recipes, but they’re authentic to the owner, Gavin.

Dazzo’s Pizzeria located on Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville, TN has amazingly delicious pizza! They offer a verity of pastas and heroes, but the New York Style pizza they offer is really the main attraction. I felt the side salads leave something to be desired, but everything is else I have tried will not disappointed! Dazzo’s Buffalo Chicken pizza is hands down my favorite and the best Buffalo Chicken in all of Knoxville. They have an awesome and quick lunch special that runs until 2pm, so you can grab a slice, salad, and drink for $ 6, which makes grabbing a quick slice convenient and at a great value. No, the pizza is not as good as ordering form an establishment in New York City, but if you don’t want to make the 13 hour drive, Dazzo’s is as good as it gets!

It’s hard to find new York style pizza in Knoxville. This pizza was pretty good. The sauce was tasty and it has a crispy crust which is what you expect with new York style pizza. It wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was good enough to go back and the garlic knots were very good.
