Came here for the Roller Derby at the collisium… the parking is great. Parking garage across the street with handicapped just as you enter… My tickets were will-call and had to pick them up here. The outside windows, where you would normally pick them up, was closed so we proceeded inside. The lady at this portable desk was confused at my «Promo» tickets and she said I had to pay for them, I then told her to please let me speak to someone else that knows more about this and that the envelope said«Promo» with my name on it.(Promo is free) The other lady appologized to us, handed us the tickets and lashed out at the gal behind the desk. We proceeded to the«breast cancer fundraiser» table where I got some goodies, patch etc. Then we went to grab a bite. Cheeseburger basket with fries… sounded ok. Upon getting it I felt the patty and it was cold. I immediately told the gentleman that the patty you all just made us was cold. He looked at me in disbelief but, he knew I didn’t go anywhere. He said that the burgers are fully cooked and its ok to eat it. Uhhhh noooo. Im not paying $ 8 for a cold burger and I dont think the health department wouldn’t like him saying this. The people behind me totally agreed with me. He was very angry and grabbed the burger after hearing me say that and threw it away rather quickly. They remade me a new one. The french fries were good although, I try to stand clear of those. The restrooms were hard to find. Had to ask 2 people where they were at. Downstairs. Ugh. The seating was perfect for us. As they scanned our tickets they had a handicapped area with single metal chairs with no steps very close. The stadium seating seats were old wooden push down theatre seats. You could sure tell this building was very old and as I sat there, I wondered what kind of events have been held in there over the years… The Roller Derby was very different but other then the food and the ticket situation… it turned out to be a good evening.

Last week, my husband and I came from WV to see Slipknot. The concert was great and our seats were perfect! The workers there were super helpful in helping us find our seats. I hope that I have another reason to come here in the future!

I’ve been here a few times to see the Ice Bears and a few concerts, saw Tom Waits in 2007 I think and most recently Sarah McLachlan a few weeks ago. Your concert experience is directly related to the quality of your seats, had perfect seats for Sarah and nose bleed for Tom Waits, and no comparison. The light show snd acoustics were perfect for Sarah, top notch ambiance. It’s relatively easy to get drinks and use the restrooms, always considerations for a show. They did have an outside smoking section during intermission which was nice. I love the convenient event parking just across the street for only five bucks, quite a bargain! The traffic cleared out quickly and orderly after the show too. This is a nice place too see larger national and regional acts, definitely would return!

A bit of a shithole, but the buildings are old. They need to put the time and money into renovating the place and making it a bit nicer. Nothing good ever goes down here except for the Ice Bears. Think of the shittiest bands on earth and that is who comes and plays here. I’ve still yet to check out a Nighthawks game, but I recommend this place for sporting events only, which still isn’t much.

The only reason I didn’t give the coliseum 5 stars is the price on icebear tickets and kind of weird locations on the bathrooms. If you live in knoxville and haven’t been to a icebear game you are truly missing out! Minor league hockey is one of the most fun sporting events to watch live. The tickets are a little more than going to a movie for the night so why not break up the same routine and watch some hockey! If you go to their website they offer tons of discounts for the games too. Also for other vols fans, the UT hockey team plays here as well. So put on your obnoxious big orange gear and support the vols!
