I stopped in because I had an issue on my bill that I wanted explained… they handled it well and made proper corrections.

Programming is limited with awful shows, with several channels showing the same movies and foreign language channels that I cannot use. Today I tried to call the local KFalls office. Found out you can’t. The 1 – 800 lady told me that the KFalls office does not accept incoming calls… even from them. Then, she asked if she could help. I had a «local» question that she could not answer. Charter, if you are afraid of your own customers’ calling you, then you cannot call yourselves a «communication» company. So glad I am leaving you behind.

My neighbors have Their service and had an issue. The tech came out and told them they need to re route the line, that ran over the top of my house. They wanted to bury a line that ran through my property to my neighbors. They asked my wife for permission at which point she told them they needed to deal with me, her husband about the request. I was never contacted. PERIOD. 2 days later I Come home to a trench running from my backyard to my front driveway. Come to find out they decided to lay the line without permission! I contacted charter and angrily expressed my issue with them. A supervisor came out to my house a day or so later telling me they have an easement and didn’t need my permission. What do I want an apology? I told him to show me the easement– as I had already done my homework, contacting my title company. There was only 1 easement for pacific power! After 2 months of dealing with a regional manager, they finally agreed they had no easement and no right to bury the line on my property without my permission. I made them remove the line and negotiated a small cost to them to repair what they had done. However, due to their blatant disregard for personal property and lack of knowledge regarding their rights of easements I will never do business with them. I wonder how many other people they were able to strong-arm… Others who may not have taken the time to make sure charter was doing things legally and ethically…

This is the worst cable company I have ever experienced… and living in multiple places in CA, I have experienced a lot! Time Warner and ATT are FAR better than this Charter company, which is saying a lot because they aren’t really that great! Our TV service has been«tiling» lately, so much that you cannot even watch shows on TV… SHOWSTHATWEPAYFOR… so we call the company, they send someone out to «fix» it… THEDAMNSERVICEISSTILLTILING!!! And to add insult to injury, they even tried to charge us for the person to come out and fix the problem that shouldn’t have even been a problem in the first place… and its STILL doing it! Their internet is horrendously slow as well, so slow in fact that sometimes I give up when I’m trying to watch videos… I never thought I would EVER say this, but I miss our Time Warner service!

I’m pretty disappointed in the business tactics of Charter. We had internet and cable at our house, and decided that because we were never home we wanted to get rid of the cable. They told us that they were going to charge the same amount we had been paying, even though we weren’t locked into a contract. Well, by trying to be a greedy company and make an extra $ 20 per month, you just lost $ 40 instead.

The couple of times I have been into this office, Tia has assisted me and she is fabulous. I always appreciate when employees remember you and ask how things are going. Her customer service skills are top notch. As for Charter itself, I haven’t had any problems with the cable service, billing, or customer service. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get and they have several bonus opportunities for subscribers. They don’t make you sign a contract either, which is a huge thing for me. I’ll definitely continue using their services and go in and see Tia when I have any issues.

The upside of Charter: They sell internet service – and they’re the only«high-speed» internet provider in the area. This is the only reason they earn a star. The downside: 1. Charter’s services are way overpriced, 2. Nearly every month, we find new little charges on our account – and they’re always erroneous. We have to call and spend 45 minutes sitting on hold while an inept employee sorts out the problem, 3. They call ALLTHETIME and never leave a message. 90% of the time it’s to sell me something useless – like phone service. The other 10% of the time it’s to tell us about a new and exciting charge(always erroneous). 4. While a few employees are pleasant and helpful, the vast majority are rude.
