Our chef was funny and entertaining. The wait staff were very friendly. Prices were expected for hibachi and sushi. I only tried their hibachi, not sushi, and the food was great.

Man, this place used to be so much better for the last ten years! There has been a noticeable decline in the past two years. Management change. Chef change. Food quality slipped down a notch. There is no more fun factor. No excitement for the kids. And the food isn’t nearly as awesome as it used to be. Also, when you know you are running all those hibachi grills during the peak summer season, INVEST in proper air conditioning. Your customers should not be sweating at the dinner table. We used to love this place. Bring it back to its former glory. PLEASE.

Can’t give it 5 because I sat at the bar but my softshell crab was good and the chicken tenders and fries were delicious. Lots of ppl ordering drinks, they’re fair prices also.

We were very disappointed. We got the shrimp and scallops and the steak and shrimp hibachi thing. Grim grim and grim. The rice was like under-cooked Minute Rice– definitely not Japanese style short grain rice(okay, we are spoiled, having been to many real Japanese restaurants in the past.) the shrimp was overcooked and tough. The vegetables were overcooked, the rice, as mentioned was Inedible(actually, the grill man did tell us not to eat the rice because it was«cheap», but we did not understand that he was really warning us to not try to eat it). Our grill man was pleasant enough… He did their standard onion flaming volcano trick, but the oil dispenser that had a spout shaped and painted like a little boy peeing was disgusting. This restaurant is definitely off our list forever more. There are so many nice, reasonably priced places you can go here… No need to settle for substandard fare obviously prepared by people who think their customers don’t know what Japanese food is supposed to be like.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life due to the disgusting comments the chef repeatedly made. The quality of the food is decent, but it is overpriced and you just about had to shower afterwards due to the chef’s comments. Will never go hear again, this place is awful. Clear? Alright — read on. The theatrics are the same as everywhere else — you may wonder why I put it that way. BLUF: Not a fan of this non-Japanese cooking show but it seems to be popular with friends, so a couple times a year I end up joining a party. This was one of those times. Clearly they all take their theatrical roots to Benihana, the show is the same you’ve seen a dozen other times. Which brings me to about the only valid reason to go to these places — the kids! The kids love these shows. At my favorite sushi place, the girls may enjoy the show where my wife and I can enjoy the MAIN attraction — fantastic sushi. This place had very mediocre offerings. So if you have kids to enjoy the show and the chef is going on ‘OHDADDY!!! OHDADDY!!!’, it gets disturbing! His nannerings mostly went over the kids heads, and we simply took our leave as soon as we were done. I should’ve simply had the manager shut him up — but clearly, we’ll never be back again. I’d discourage anyone with kids to avoid this place — maybe as some of the other reviewers have said, that may to be the benefit of those customers who enjoy this type of chef.

Find somewhere else to eat! The rice was tasteless and my husband and I were both sick within 20 minutes of eating there. Luckily we did not have Spiderman because he was at the grill across from us and we found him loud and obnoxious!

Went here with my family on vacation and after going to various other restaurants that specialize in this cooking I have to say to other vacationers don’t waste your time or money. These guys don’t have a clue on how to prepare or present this type of cuisine. They even managed to screw up the rice.

I’ve been in here several times for sushi(including today). Sushi is always good — artfully prepared and tasty. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and professional. I haven’t done the hibachi here but have seen quite a few performances from the bar and always end up laughing. People at the hibachi generally seem to be at least having a good if not great time. I’ll continue to go back here.

As a local, this is a restaurant which I frequent quite often and recommend to just about anyone. The sushi is amazing and the hibachi meals are just as good. Dinner pricing is around what one might expect from a Japanese steak house ranging between $ 20 – 30. Your meal includes a meat, salad, rice and vegetables. Sushi and rolls run anywhere from $ 5 – 13 depending on the consistency. The real deal here comes from their lunch specials where a hibachi meal with slightly smaller portions and no salad runs between $ 6.50−10. Their sushi lunch specials are equally as appealing, such as the«lunch box» which consists of 2 sushi rolls, house salad, seaweed salad, rice and oranges for less than $ 10. Speed of service depends on when you come and where you sit. Starting with the sushi bar, one should note that the bar also serves hibachi meals, although they are cooked in the back(so no show). However, the sushi chefs are good at what they do as they get food out fast! If you can find a seat at the sushi bar and are pressed for time, you could be in and out in a little more than thirty minutes if you wanted. As per the hibachi tables, these run a little slower for a number of reasons. First, the table must be full before a cook can show up. So if you have a party of six or less, you may have to wait for a smaller party to show up and join you at the table. Second, there are more tables than hibachi chefs. What this means is that you have to wait until the next chef is ready who will then gather the items from your order and come out. As the chef will then be cooking your meal in front of you, this will also add to the time. This is the case for most Japanese steak houses and one should expect to be in the restaurant for at least an hour. Quality of food is excellent as it is presented well, is of a filling portion and, most importantly, tasty! The list of sushi and rolls takes up a good portion of the menu, so you are guaranteed to find something you will like. The hibachi is your typical selection of chicken, shrimp, steak and/or lobster each with it’s own unique flavor. Now for the atmosphere of Fuji… As stated in many reviews, the hibachi chef, «Spider-man,» can come as either a blessing or a curse to customers. He is loud, he screams, repeatedly tells pretty woman«I love you,» will throw food at you(sometimes with pretty bad aim), is great with children and, in my opinion, is overall pretty dang amazing. When you go to Fuji, regardless if he is your chef or not, you will notice him as he steals the attention of the entire restaurant during each serving. This is a family restaurant where a good, enjoyable experience is to be desired and in that aspect, «Spider-man» delivers. However if you are looking for a quiet, romantic date, then you might be in for a shocker. As long as you can handle a bit of noise and don’t mind the wait times that come with the summer season, then you owe it to yourself to stop by and give this place a try. By far, the best hibachi experience I ever had. I liked it so much that I went twice in one week. The chef was fantastic, and absolutely hilarious. I plan on dragging everyone I can to see his performance.

Solid hibachi food, and good sushi. But what really sets this teppanyaki apart from the Benihanas of the world is the kooky chef whom I only know of as Spiderman. His rambunctious high energy performance goes beyond the typical hibachi fare with lots of corny jokes. Some may be offended by his(possibly overly) gregarious behavior and general level of excitement at seeing customers, and those dullards would probably be best off requesting a different chef. Those that do experience Spiderman will certainly have a memorable dining experience.

Ugh! Don’t waste your time here if you’re in the mood for a Japanese steakhouse. Came here with friends and my partner. It was supposed to be exciting because one of our friends had never been to a Japanese steakhouse. Alas, our chef was BORING! Lacking in personality and creativity. At first, I thought, since he’s wearing a red hat, that must mean he’s a rookie or whatever. However, a couple of other tables also had chefs with a red hat and they were more interesting to watch. The food was good. At least, none of us complained. Had the chicken and shrimp. Also, ordered the edamame(salted soybeans). Mmm, love that stuff! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Just that our chef left us almost bored to tears. Blah.
