I noticed some people on here complaining about the price or the Christmas theme year around. First of all the store will have expensive items because it’s in a town full of tourists and vacationers so they can get away with high priced items and still do great business. You can get a nice ornament for 4.50 or buy a box of sea shells for 3.00 so they aren’t that expensive. If you are a Christmas lover, then you will love this store. I stopped in during our last visit to Duck in the OBX and got a few items. I was in the store for 30 minutes and didn’t even get through half the store. From trees, to ornaments, to nutcrackers, stockings, snow globes, mangers, and Santa Claus figurines, this store had everything everybody could ask for. They also had Halloween and thanksgiving items. This is a must for anyone in vacationing in the OBX or Myrtle Beach or Virginia because those are their only locations. Great store:) happy shopping.

A year round Christmas store, doesn’t look like we all have to wait for October to roll around to hear Christmas music in a store. This place is rolling in the Christmas richness. This place is quite huge on the inside and take it from me, if you were to actually look at every single item in here, you will be here all day. There are trees everywhere, decorated beyond belief and to every theme you could imagine possible. Definitely was interesting to see a tree decked out with Halloween garb. The employees were attentive and polite. Helpful even at one point. Not sure whether people will notice this, but the baskets sitting around are not for sale or decoration, they are for you to carry all of your decorations around before you pay for them. This place is pretty awesome to visit, however, don’t over do it, you’ll end up hating Christmas well before it gets here. Definitely would be risking ruining your spirit before the appropriate month.

Gosh, where to begin… For years, i have walked pass this tiny, inconspicuous store, tucked sort of in the back of this aged and empty strip mall like collection of shops. And everytime i do, i wave my arms in the air and ask aloud, «How does this store stay open year round?!» For those unfamiliar with Christmas Mouse, its a 24⁄7 Christmas tree ornament hanging, garland sashaying, «Oh Holy Night» playing, baby jeezus in a manger displaying, precious moments twinkling, holiday kitchen dish towel selling, Christmas only store. It could be 103 °F outside, 93% humidity, and Christmas mouse is still decked to the nine’s like its Christmas eve in Rockefeller Center. You may be into this sort of thing. That is not why I am giving it 1 star. I am giving this place one star for one main flaw(well two sort of)… It is pricey. These ornaments and knick knacks are pricey. A lot of them are tacky as hell too, so for me, an Xmas ornament lover, I was not impressed. A lot of the stuff I have actually seen at Cost Plus World Market, and for much much less dinero. But the real reason I give this place una estrella is because the only store in the entire Duck shopping complex that did NOT have a post Xmas markdown sale was Christmas Mouse! How is that possible? The only time of year any store should be clearancing out anything remotely holiday should be this store. I was in total shock when nothing was on sale the days following Christmas. I of course left the store annoyed, and only further confused as to how they stay open year round
