Tumi Luggage

For Tumi in-​general I’d give it 5 stars. This location also tends to have far better deals and selection than other stores in New England. I’ve had some hit-​or-​miss moments in terms of service, mostly hit… this past weekend however I had a saleswoman «hover» with me (and not in a Hong Kong good way). She had to interject about every single piece I was looking at. For example, I was looking at a Vapor suitcase and she was telling me how wonderful a tote would also fit on its extending handle. Since I’m a man, tote bags are not on my list of needs, which made it a total «WTF» moment. After about 5 minutes of her strange comments and suggestions I simply chose to leave. As a diehard Tumi fan I was likely to leave with a $ 500 purchase. Instead she saved me $ 500. Perhaps that was her goal?
Otherwise, I do love this store. This one visit soured me a touch, and only for like a minute. But it’s worth mentioning it here — perhaps they can learn to take it down a notch let let a shopper shop.

AMAZING deals, really nice staff. All my bags are Tumi and they are top notch.
The only downside from buying here is if you like to return something, they will give you store credit for it which can be used in store or online but you cant be reimbursed.
All in all I had a great experience here, they also register your Tumi tracker right there so you not have to do it later.

Great outlet with a nice selection and pricing. The salesperson was knowledgable about the product line and ably demonstrate all the features of the wheeled suited I ended up purchasing. Lots of up-​selling though – cleaners, cord cases, carry on bags, etc. I know that’s how they increase the total amount of the sale, but still.

We have long been fans of Tumi luggage and leather goods. Tumi makes excellent quality, durable and good looking products.
The company stands by their merchandise with excellent guarantees although we’ve never had an issue with any of the luggage we’ve owned. Everything has held up beautifully. despite at times rugged travel.
On a recent trip north, we stopped at the Tumi outlet for a look-​see. I found a gorgeous cherry red handbag that called out to me although I initially I tried to resist. I’m up to my eyeballs in handbags and debated whether I really needed another one. I circled the store for awhile but that amazing cherry red color kept drawing me back to it.
When I found out that this bag, which was originally $ 700.00 last season, was not only considerably marked down but had an additional holiday special of another 25% to be taken off, well the deal was sealed.
I love this handbag and am so glad I decided to buy it. I love it’s structured look, it’s roomy interior and sleek exterior styling. I’ve used it only a few time now and yet I’ve already gotten loads of compliments on it.
The red is the perfect blue-​based red that’s right for me. And as we are in the midst of the holiday season, it seems particularly appropriate.
The store also sells luggage in various sizes, wallets and other leather accessories.
The woman in the store the day we were there was extremely welcoming, pleasant and knowledgeable about the merchandise. She knew, for example, that a piece of luggage we were looking at as a nice carry-​on was in fact not the correct carry-​on size. Best not to find that out at the airport.
Unlike some outlet stores which are a sham, often selling inferior and poor-​quality items made specifically for immediate sale at the outlet and having never been in the real store as first-​rate merchandise, this place has true mark-​downs on their actual quality goods that may be a season or so old but still fabulous.
It works for me.

Came in here a few months ago to see if I could get a good deal on the 22 inch Alpha — Luis Jines said he’d take down my name and call me if a deal came up. Low and behold — he calls me last week and explains that this bag that I haven’t pulled the trigger on due to the $ 595 + tax pricetag is now $ 380.25 — that included tax and shipping. I got the bag two days after talking to him. If you’re interested in a Tumi product and willing to wait, I recommend giving Luis your name and details.

If you know Tumi luggage, you know it’s absolutely the most durable, and lightweight as well. But you also know it’s tres expensive. Happy to report some bargains to be found at this outlet — we settled for red and paid ½ the outlet price — 3 pieces for around $ 900. Very, very helpful, non-​pushy & knowledgeable staff… can reel off «pack weight» and «cubic space» with ease.
