My daughter introduced me to Don Pepe, and I just love it, fresh food all the time! Clean, friendly, it’s our Saturday take out spot, but one day we will dine in. So Glad they are In poinciana.

Really great food. While service may be a little spotty at times, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

This(very) little place has good food at reasonable prices. I didn’t realize it was semi counter service(you order and pay, then a server brings it to your table when it’s ready) so my anxiety kicked in as I stood there trying to decide what to order. I have a thing about new places and protocol. Not their fault. Then we sat down and our orders, including drinks, were brought to our table fairly quickly. Soda refills, too(my guy had a beer). I had the chicken quesadilla(came with beans, rice, and a little bit of lettuce, pico de gallo and sour cream). My honey had chicken tacos(also came with rice and beans, etc). He said they were a little dry, but they came with a sauce of some kind on the side(possibly chili lime?) but he didn’t want it(he’s weird about sauces) so I stole it. It was yummy. Therefore the«dry» critique should be taken with a grain of salt. Oh, the flavor/seasoning of everything was on point. It was clean and the service we received was good — nothing stellar, but definitely friendly and attentive. We will be back! Next time I’ll study the menu ahead of time. I found a picture of it online(they were out of take out menus).

One of the best taco places in Central Florida. The carne asada tacos and soaked chicken burritos are always good, but the best thing here is nachos tostones without a doubt. The staff is always friendly and the food delicious. Do yourself a favor and eat here sometime soon.

Very good food, nice people. Chicken tortilla soup is a little salty, but all else very good. Cute décor.

Absolutely love everything I have had the pleasure eating here. Chef Jose is a culinary genius. The entire staff are friendly beyond words. Besides the food being delightful, the portions are fantastic. I would dine here every night if I could. Giving the hog hest recommendation possible because they earned it.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the food there. You order at the register then take a number and they bring you the food. Authentic Mexican food at a good price. I had the steak tacos in crunchy shells, meat was lean and not greasy at all. I’m glad to have a great Mexican place here in Poinciana. The accept mobile payments as well, the cashier didn’t know that and I kinda blew her mind when I used Apple pay lol.

I visited this past week and got a carnitas taco platter. The meat was perfect and everything was flavorful and fresh. I also had the sangria and decided to splurge and get dessert, which as a play on bananas foster. Needless to say, I ate way too much! Our server was wonderful and I’m definitely impressed with the food. I’m only in Poincianna occasionally to visit family, but this is now my go-to place for eating in the area. I’m so glad my mom and I decided to check it out.

The food is pretty good. The service is awesome(at least for eat in service). Been there a few times since they opened. Other than the first week they opened, they are not that busy so I hope they can stay in business. The food is sad to be fresh and it appears that it is. Only one draw back here, the menu is in Spanish only. I get it’s a Spanish place but most have at least the caption in English since not everyone in Poinciana or going to a Spanish restaurant is Spanish or can read Spanish. Even with that draw back, I’ll still be back.

I was on edge about trying this place at first because I absolutely love Mexican food so I didn’t want to be disappointed if I didn’t like it but I was impressed by how delicious the food was! I had the chicken enchiladas in red sauce and my boyfriend built his own burrito with carne asada. Both entrees were so yummy and the service was up to par. If you’re a local, don’t sleep on Don Pepes!

I love Mexican food so to finally have a good one in poinciana, I am pleased with don Pepe. It is delicious. I have gone multiple times and have tried multiple things on their menu and everything is delicious. I don’t get why people complain about ordering at the counter, not the first or last place to do so. I actually recommend people to not listen to the reviews that take to go items because obviously by the time you get home the food won’t be as fresh as it is when you actually have it when it’s done. KEEPITUPDONPEPE!

Ugh! The first time I ordered here, I ordered a soaked black bean burrito. It was delicious. It was so delicious, I was craving another tonight. I ordered the same exact thing, but I did not receive a delicious vegetarian burrito. I was given a burrito shell stuffed to the brim with black beans. That’s all. Just. Black. Beans. It was not delicious and I truly wonder who would want this? I could have opened a can of black beans in my kitchen cabinet for much less… Oh and if you want to charge 2.25 for a side of guac, it’s fine with me, totally fine, BUT I better get a bigger side than this tiny cup thing… ???

I recently visited this restaurant with two of my friends. We ordered burritos, tacos and their chicken tortilla soup. I asked for them to make my soup really spicy, and so they did. Everything was really delicious. The prices are really inexpensive, making it a good place for everyone including families. The workers there are very friendly and welcoming as well. I appreciate the«order at the counter» style of this restaurant, so that you don’t feel obligated to tip, even though I do regardless. It is the same type of ordering style that you would see in a Chipotle or Tijuana Flats. I don’t understand why people get so upset when they have to order at the register. On my second trip to this restaurant, I took my girlfriend because I was craving their delicious soup. She offered the chicken quesadillas and I had the pork tacos. They were amazing, and the lettuce, tomatoes and garnish were so fresh. The rice and beans that accompany the quesadillas were better than expected. The rice has a great flavor to it alone and the beans were a perfect addition to the rice. All in all, I don’t expect to be eating anywhere other than Don Pepe’s when I am in Poinciana.

Runny ‘refried beans’…more like bean soup. And made from chili beans not pinto beans. And they put the ‘bean soup’ in a container that leaked all over the take out bag. The rice and beans that came with my enchilada was whole chili beans… not refried pinto beans. It seems Mexican food in Florida can be undependable. See the picture of the ‘beans’ in the picture gallery.

Service Sucks for a brand new restaurant. Some of my colleagues do not approve the service here and food was mediocre! I will give them 6 months until they either improvise or shut the doors closed!
