Their pancakes are so delicious, I rarely use syrup. I usually order breakfast exclusively, but I’ve also had their fried chicken gizzards which were pretty good but greasy. The food is so cheap but the wait service is usually terrible. Since I first ate there two years ago, I feel like the food has gone downhill.

One of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever had came from this long-​standing Kirksville tradition while they were still in their grubby little log cabin locaiton on the east side of US 63. When they moved across the street to their new location the quality of the food took a nose dive. Shame, too. I love homemade diner food like little else, but some sharp restaurant equipment salesman sold Rosie a bill of goods.
