I’ve never had a bad experience here, often coming back from Seattle I’ll drop by to satisfy my late night cravings and sometimes I’ll make it and sometimes they’re closed. Despite the fact that the drive thru isn’t open 24⁄7 I still choose to take my chances and gamble on whether they’re open or closed. One might ask, why not just check the time? HELLNAH I live life on the edge that’s how we do it! The food is pretty consistent here and I’m not sure if it because the patties are thicker than the competition, but it feels as if the burger is of a better quality than other fast food chains in the area.

This was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. My husband and I went through the drive through around 8 pm and we could barely understand a word the person who took our order said. He didn’t enunciate a single word. And he somehow couldn’t understand anything we said either. We finally got to the window to pay, and the person asks us(in garbled English) what kind of drink we wanted(he couldn’t remember for the 5 seconds it took us to get from ordering to the window) and someone *else* came over to clarify if we wanted tomatoes or not. We told them yes, tomatoes please. We finally get the food, before we hand him the card to pay, so I took that time to check our burgers. SUREENOUGH, the chicken burger they asked about the tomatoes did have tomatoes, but it also had mayo, which we had specified we didn’t want. So we hand it right back before we even leave the window and ask him to fix it. We get the new burger, and this time it has no mayo, but for some reason it doesn’t have any lettuce either. We asked for a receipt and the guy looked at the machine and said«Oh, it isn’t on.» So we just couldn’t even have a receipt to make sure he charged us correctly. If I find ANYTHING wrong with the amount on my bank account I will be beyond livid. What an absolute joke of an experience. That guy needs to be demoted to fry cook. He was literally standing there taking the next person’s order with his face in his hands like he was exasperated with the whole process. He looked like he was *incredibly* stoned. Wrong job, buddy. I need to find the owner’s email address so I can send a concerned email and ask for either my money back or a gift certificate or something.(Thankfully, they can’t mess up a frosty.)

Couldnt go 0 or half star but this place has the Slowest service ever!!! 3rd time i wait over 15 minutes at the drive up window. All I ordered was 2 go wraps and a jbc, value menu itwms. And never did they ask the person in front to pull up and wait for someone to bring out the rest of their order, instead everyone just waited which I think is Total bs and a complete disregard for people’s time restraints due to work.

Terrible service. Always so slow. Been multiple times bc it’s the only place open when I get off work and they take forever. Have seen multiple people have order mix ups and mistakes. Don’t bother with this Wendy’s. Food quality is meh but service needs help.

You want a chain fast-food place in Kirkland other than Subway. This is it.

This Wendy’s sucks. The grey haired lady is a total B**** we watched one of the cooks who was preparing our food leave behind the kitchen open the door to go outside and hand a lady her food come back inside and with the same gloves on go finish touching our food! This Wendy’s was pretty dirty anyways and we asked the manager for a refund and we explained why and she gave us some smart ass remark like well actually I prepared your food! But ironic thing about that was that she was touching all over the cash register with the same gloves she had supposedly just cooked our food with! The people also taking your order are so slow and never get your order right! I wish I could give 0 stars

Hot fries, spicy nuggets, cool frostys. Easy access. All for about $ 5.

Yet again… 10:00PM on a Friday night in downtown Kirkland and Wendy’s is closed? This is a fast food joint, people. Eat great, even late? I don’t frickin’ think so. One star.

Driving down 405, I saw the sign for Wendy’s at the next exit and started craving that JBC(Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, if you didn’t know). This location does have a drive-thru but I wanted to sit and eat instead of drive and eat, so I went inside. Not sure if it’s a normal occurrence at this location or not, but the ONE order in front of us took FOREVER to prepare so I ended up just waiting and waiting and waiting to order. There seemed to be several employees working, so I’m not sure what was causing the problem either. Finally I was able to order and the food was as expected once it was ready(again it took quite some time to prepare… but I think the cashier did help the next customer in line unlike how I was somewhat ignored while she prepared the order for the patron in front of me). The location is clean and apart from the long wait it is a good Wendy’s location. Leaving the parking lot can be tricky because it’s a somewhat busy street right next to a signal, but luckily I was waved into traffic by a nice driver so I wasn’t trapped in the lot when leaving.

Probably one of my favorite chain-food places to eat. You can tell by the flavor and look of the food that they actually don’t just freeze everything and thaw it out like some other places do. Great $ 1 value menu and good prices for pretty good fast-food quality. It’s got a very comfy feel to it. Only thing that bothered me was that you now need a «request» to get a bathroom token from the cashier -.- I understand that you may not want random people coming in to use the bathroom and leave but that’s kinda understandable. Other than that, it’s a pretty awesome place to go.

So funny story — a few weekends ago I came to you guys at 1:55am on a Saturday because me and my friends were hungry and not in the mood for haute dogs. So we did a walk up through the drive thru and you wouldn’t give us food. We(and the other group of drunks yelling at you thru the order box) would have easily paid top dollar for some delicious square shaped burgers but the fat a$$ manger, who clearly ate too much of their product, refused. In this economy do you really care that much as too who you are serving and how them come up to you? LAME! This is Kirkland for pete’s sakes we arent in Seattle where we would shoot you for some damn burger patties! Sorry I made the smart decision to WALK to the bars so I wouldn’t have to DRIVE drunk home like all the other fools coming to you. You guys probably have some sort of arrangement with the Kirkland Po-Po’s to attract drunk people so that they pull people over when they leave: P So what did I do this weekend — outsmarted you. Me and my friend had the GENIUS idea to pay a taxi to drive us through so we could get some delicious fries, frostys and the works for our friends and you let me down again. The food was semi warm, and the fries had clearly been sitting there awhile. So drunk and disappointed we walked home. Would I do it all over again next weekend… probably.

You know, Wendy’s is pretty damn good for fast food. Their dollar menu is «top dollar». I must admit that I am primarily giving part of this review to level out the rating the Kirkland Wendy’s has unfairly received on Unilocal. The other part of my review comes from the heart. The heart that now has less room for blood to flow because of double stacks, chicken tenders, and the occasional baked potato. At the point I am writing this there is another review for this Wendy’s and Wendy’s is given one star(and they WISH it could be ZERO!) based on the fact that someone was not given service trying to walk through the drive through at «approximately 12:30 am». It is as if a crime occurred. All drive throughs have this policy. Shame on the manager for having a «wanting to keep their job» mentality. I find it hard to believe that one of the pluses of living close to the bars in Kirkland — is so that you can hopefully walk through a drive through. Let me put it this way — Wendy’s closes for non-car customers when their dining room closes. Now, go cry about it. Oh and to even insinuate at all that they are somehow promoting drinking and driving(which someone does write in these Wendy’s reviews) is ridiculous, in my opinion.

I wish I could rate this at 0 stars. As a downtown Kirkland dweller, I’ve now had to come to the realization that no food establishment is open after 12:30 am(this is of course, the ones that’ll make it for you, I do still love you — QFC). That being said, Wendy’s IS in fact open until 2:00 am on the weekend. Yaaaayyyy!!! But this is only if you are pulling up, in a car — Boooooooohhh. Basically, it felt like this place does not reward responsibility. I don’t necessarily get drunk, I just enjoy an adult beverage or three on the weekends but refuse to drive afterwords. THIS is why I live here — so I don’t have to drive anywhere, I walk. I tried to walk through the drive through at approximately 12:30 am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning and the hateful drive thru woman opened the window and told me they refused service to people with no car. THIS, my friends, meant to me at that time that they do not reward responsibility. I have a fantastic car, but I’d also had a couple of drinks and absolutely refuse to drive after I drink, that’s just how I roll. No explanation, no exceptions, nothing. Woman SHUT the window on me. I told her I’d never be back. She didn’t care. I will be calling their headquarters. Very sad for a dying franchise, you’d think they wouldn’t be trying to shoot themselves in the foot, yet there she was. I’m more apalled at the rudeness of the staff than I am mad that they won’t serve foot traffic even though their the only game in town at that time, so don’t get confused about this little rant(as some of you have taken it personal). I won’t be back. For me — at that time of night and with that rude of staff, it felt like they encouraged drinking and driving(who else would come thru their drive thru at 1:00 am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning?).(:P) I just say — No!!!

Maybe if I spoke Spanish I could get decent service here. I have food allergies and often have to special order my burgers without condiments. I have been to this location twice now. Both times they didn’t get the order right due to the language barrier. This last time I went back to have them remake my burger. The lady didn’t understand English, and literally opened the burger with her bare hands and removed the onions. Um… she had been working the register ever since I came in. Her hands were not clean. Not only do I not recommend this location to anyone… I also reported the establishment to the Health Department. Since here in the USA we have standards.

Nothing special, but it has a drive thru and it’s open later than most places in downtown Kirkland. And how do you go wrong with a family meal under $ 10?
