I’m sorry to say that this location has now closed. Last night was the last hurrah… ha…I sorry to see this place close and the employees let go. Unemployment line next. Gonna miss everyone here… Alderwood will be the only location left… I hope they find another location in Bellevue, WA. Not downtown Bellevue.

Ugh… this place is less than a mile from our office and a no brainer to do for lunch, but we will never go again. My friend said to me as we entered, this isn’t a good sign, it is empty for lunch. About 1:30 pm. Our Party of 8 at lunch easily doubled their patrons. The server was nice and took our order in a timely manner with some lame jokes added in. «Best Prime Rib in Kirkland, only Prime Rib in Kirkland» he was right, that is the only way this would have been the best Prime Rib is if none other existed. We were sat with a view of the kitchen and the plates waiting to be expedited. Big issue if you plan to leave a completed meal up for service for more than 10 minutes. Granted, not everyone’s entrée was likely ready at the same time but my friend and I watched our food go from fresh off the grill to tired and tasteless under the heat lamps. The server seemed to forget about us for 25 minutes. It shouldn’t take over an hour for lunch during a work day. Especially when preparing a bunch of Prime Rib or chicken Sandwhiches. Pros: The place was clean Friendly hostess Close to work Bread Cons: Service Bland foods Fatty Prime Rib Did I say service

~the food was great here! I love the filet mignon! The manager was our waiter! He did really well serving us! The coupon helped saved us $ 25 too! Thank you!

Good beer for HH. Wish the HH food menu would expand, bring back the garlic shrimp, add some more items. great staff and management, you can tell the employees really like working there. Steaks are good, burgers are good. Had the NY peppercorn the other day. Perfect cooking, a little too peppercorn-y would have asked for lighter. Need to have wifi. 2014 get with the program!

The Keg has always been one of my fave restaurants to go to and I’m sad that this is one of two last locations in WA. Rumor has it that when their leases run up; they will exit WA altogether and it means no more Caesar salad for me and no more free birthday dinners(sad face). This location says Kirkland but it’s definitely kind of on the Bellevue/Kirkland border. It’s a secluded location kind of set back so if you don’t pay attention(like my hubby) then you’ll miss the turn. The food is usually pretty solid. They make a mean Orange Slice martini but I believe they phased it out and if you ask you can get it off menu but it’s not the same quality as before. The steaks are usually a solid choice but in June when they do Dungeness month I usually get the whole Dungeness for $ 30. It also is offered during the free birthday meal so I usually get it for about $ 5 out of pocket. Can’t beat that! Will be sad if rumors are true and they are gone soon but enjoy it while you can!

We just landed at Sea-Tec and were quite hungry. All of us wanted a good, non-chain restaurant meal. As we were driving east, I saw«The Keg Steakhouse» on Unilocal!Sounds perfect after a long flight with peanuts and coke. Walking in, it has an old western feel to it. Brass rails and split floor levels. Our waiter came by quickly to take our drink order and give us a run-down of the menu and specials. If you want steak and potatoes this is the place. Prices reflect accordingly, and I was expecting great things. I ordered the«Rib Steak». I was expecting more rib eye then rib steak. The flavor was good, but too much fat on the edges and throughout. It was a large steak though, covering half my plate. Again, I guess I was expecting something along the lines of a rib eye with nice marbling throughout, not just lots of fat. My side dishes of baked potato and veggies were good. More than enough whipped butter on the spud, but I feel I got shorted on the amount of green beans. Maybe this was an off day, but I wouldn’t come back. For the price, the steak should be a better cut, and the waiter should box you food for you and not just give you the box.

This is customer service. Clint Quicksall is the manager here and I was surprised that customer service is taken to the next level where they don’t interfere with your phone call but know when you need a pen. Imagine taking the K-K to the next level of CRM Analytics and understanding who is your customer and they need what and when & why? Good job Clint & this Keg needs more publicity(he can even spell the Indians name who wrote this)

I am in town on business and was glad to see a restaurant close enough to walk to from the hotel. The service is very good and the atmosphere even better. I ordered the prime rib dinner. It came with a sourdough loaf of bread and a salad and fresh vegetables. The food was good but I am not sure it was actually roasted today. It was a good meal just not outstanding.

I had a to-go order placed over the phone in the late, late evening so I was happy that they accepted it and it was no problem. My only issue was that the guy over the phone sounded like he was annoyed even though I knew what I wanted and didn’t hesitate. Thought it would make his job easier but whatever. Anyway, the bleu cheese filet was good but just chewier than I anticipated. The twice baked potato was perfect and better than the cut of steak. Everything arrived hot and ready in the to-go bag. I disliked how cheap the plastic utensils were. I know they’re plastic, but they were really, really terrible. It felt amazing to have the meal in bed back at my nearby hotel though! It put me to sleep right after! I would like to try this place again but eating there in person instead. Also, it was super dead at 10 – 11PM when I picked up my meal.

I went here for lunch. I had french onion soup and a Cesar salad with steak! The broth in the soup was good as was the bread, the cheese they used was a bit bitter, maybe Swiss? Some people use this cheese, it wasn’t spoiled, but not my fav. The salad however was fresh and the steak perfection. The service was fantastic, we were greeted happily, seated promptly. Our server was polite and checked on us often. I was very happy with my experience here… sometimes with chains the service can get sloppy, this was no the case here, plus our waiter was hot.

Had dinner here on Valentine’s evening and it was okay. We usually go somewhere else and I think we will go back to our regular place next year. The restaurant was very loud and the service was extremely slow. My lobster tail was overcooked and the prime rib was a disappointment. I had read that it was really good but it was just so-so. Our table was also teeny tiny. We made a reservation in advance so I’m not sure why we didn’t get a regular size table. All in all I got fed but I certainly didn’t clean my plate.

I’d rather give a 3.5 star honestly. I had the NY steak. I loved. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed my meat which is the important part. The veggies I didn’t like so much. I wish they had asparagus or something. Cooked peppersare kinda crappy to me. Mushrooms were awesome. Salad was yummy. Server was on point. Here’s why I marked down from the 4 star rating. The cheesecake was probably the worst I have ever had in my life. I’m not sure if it’s baked in house or what but they either need a new recipe that tastes like real cheesecake or find a new place that they get it from. We couldn’t even finish it.

Kind of gross, kind of creepy… Greepy? The food looks like real food, but there is something wrong with it. My body felt icky for like a day after I ate there. Not like an actual food poisoning, just… icky. I am not coming back, ever.

Atmosphere is dull and old, and the menu wasn’t attractive considering it’s a steakhouse competitor to Daniel’s(not in level of customer service or ambiance). Considering the prices. wouldn’t come here again.

Probably could give 5 stars. Been here before and it is consistent. starting with convenient location, and ample parking. white tablecloths on the tables, excellent servers. easy to hear during business lunches. Food portions are generous — can never finish, and usually leave with a take-home bag/box. I usually order the entrée salads, and this time the Southern Chicken salad was just so yummy. the cherry tomatoes were so fresh and so sweet, I was in heaven. the table bread was just so-so, which is fine since I am better off without the carbs. my client had the steak sandwich which came with a lovely bowl of mushroom soup — and looked really good. I would have fallen asleep after all that! I will for sure be back. Of mention is that even though this is a «CHAIN», I have found that this location is superior to some others, and the locations also have different menus.

The Keg is a chain that focuses on well-executed, but a standard bill of fare — steaks, prime rib, seafood, etc… You go there because you expect a pleasant — but not exceptional dining experience. So when I went there with my wife a few months ago, I had an exceptional dining experience. Why rate so high? The service staff in the dining room went above and beyond to insure that my dining experience was good. They really seem to care about the quality of the food and dining experience. I ordered a medium rare prime rib. When it arrived, I actually was served a medium-well –bordering on well done — slab of prime rib. Now I never send food back, and in this case I am perfectly content to eat an overcooked piece of meat. If I had been at a high-end steak house, then I might of sent it back. I commented to my wife that the prime rib was a bit over cooked, and the waiter from across the room must have either heard me or noticed me looking at the meat. The waiter came over, asked about the meal and offered to bring another slice. Since I had already started to eat the meat, I declined. Next thing I know, the Kitchen Manager comes to the table carrying a perfectly cooked medium rare slice of prime rib. Later in the evening when the bill came, my dinner was comp’d.I did not expect it nor ask for it. Would definitely eat there again.

I took my niece there for a dinner on a Thursday night. We were seated right away, I have ate here before but never rated it. Great location, parking and ppl are friendly. For a starter, ordered the crab cakes, tasty. For dinner, I ordered the filet, cooked perfectly and so tasty and my niece had their teriyaki steak. Both happy with our dinners. The steaks that I have had before were cooked perfect too.

5 stars if the restaurant was a little more modern, but nothing wrong here. I am used to the Alderwood Keg which has a more rustic look with high ceilings, beams, and low lighting. Okay, onward with the review: 1. Attentive waiter. He got the drinks out quickly, refilled them promptly. 2. Steakhouse ambiance, not too loud. 3. Excellent food as usual. Quality comparative to The Met, Ruths Chris, etc., but at a fraction of the cost. 4. Clean facilities and ample parking.

Big mistake going here for my birthday! Monday night which you’d think would be slow enough to get great service. Not so. There were huge gaps in time between when our server, Cooper, checked on us. In fact, we almost walked out after we first got seated because it took him so long to greet us. But the main disappointment was the food. I ordered the sirloin, rare, and could barely cut it. It was so tough and full of fat. When a server brought the plate to the table, I reminded her that I had ordered a baked potato. She had to show it to me on the plate. THAT’S how small and shriveled it was. I would expect this when I’m paying far less at say, The Golden Corral, but the Keg is charging way too much for that kind of sloppiness. People had warned me not to go there. Now I see why…

Comparable to a 5-star prime rib restaurant I’ve gone to a few 5-star restaurants and even though their quality of meat is suppose to be better and they have a reputation as to being one of the top steakhouse, I like to think that the Keg Steakhouse & Bar is comparable to the taste of all the prime ribs i’ve eaten. Actually, i would say its one of the best. My prime rib came out perfectly. I really like the fried onion on top, it really makes it. I had the garlic mash potatos as my side dish and I can taste the garlic… delicious! I especially love their horseradish sauce, it has a excellent kick(like wasabi). & their au jus sauce is very flavorful. Our waitress was very attentive and provided excellent service. I will definitely come back here for their prime rib. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a juicy flavorful prime rib with excellent attentive service.
