Came here last night to watch the Warrior-vs-Cavs game with a buddy. It was both our first time. We loved the atmosphere! A lot of walking room & TVs, shuffle board, pool, dart board, and some other electronic games! We ordered the fries and nachos both pretty good. They have Dos XX on tap which is hard to find! Our server was awesome and our bartender was even better, I don’t remember his name. But we were looking for a bar to come back to for pool and darts!

Sluggers is the best. Make sure to go there when Avery is working. The nicest, prettiest server in all the land. It’s always happy hour when Avery works. Signed, Perfectly Content

The only reason I came here. I was told there were going to be 49er fans. So I came. To my suprise they were wrong. Augh, I walked into Seahawks territory yikes. But over all, the server is great, and very friendly. I’m the only one wearing a 49ers gear. I hope I’m not hated on. Guess will see what happens, Go 49ers… A great place to watch sports games. TV is everywhere around you. No matter wich way you turn your head you won’t miss a thing.

I came here looking at Unilocal. There was a review that stated best taco tuesday in Kirkland do I thought I’d check it out needless to say I learned another valuable lesson… I need to read more of the reviews before making a decision where to go. Here’s the deal: The taco Tuesday was one of the worst taco Tuesdays I’ve gone to, sure two tacos for one dollar looks like a good deal but when the tacos are tiny and the meat is stale that’s not a great deal, not even worth 1 dollar. House well drinks 7 bucks a piece Draft beer 5 bucks a piece And to top it off we got a new waitress and she was one of the not nicest people I’ve ever seen she was very unhelpful… So if you want a decent sports bar with cold over prices beer and cocktails and bad service this place is the spot for you

New to the area and WA state so I decided I’d try to the local sports bar to catch the playoff game. When I walked in I was promptly greeted by the bartender/waitress. The décor in the place needs some work but I was still optimistic about food. The menu wasn’t very appealing. Any good sports bar worth its lease should have good wings. I ordered the wings and the wife ordered the chicken fingers. Both tasted like they were microwaved then brought to the table. What took the cake was when the manager’s dog came to my table and jumped on my leg. That was all I could take from this experience. I can unequivocally say I will not patronize this establishment again.

Your typical neighborhood dive. I’ve only been here twice — once on Halloween(fun times) and once for the Seahawks game(we crushed the Saints!). We came at around the end of second quarter of the Seahawks game and snagged what appeared to be the last table in the house. Despite it being packed, a waiter came around pretty quickly and took our order. Our drinks came out really fast and the food shortly after. I would have to say I’m impressed at the speediness. I got tater tots both times I came in and they are delightful treats every bar should have. They are a decent sized portion — one that I can never finish. My husband got the french dip. It was okay — a little on the salty side, but decent for bar food. We were stuffed with food and drinks and our tab was under $ 40. Score. And it is right near our house. Waiters are friendly. Lots and lots of tv’s for the games.

I don’t Unilocal a ton anymore, but I wanted to submit this review because of the awful experience my friend had with a basic phonecall. My friend, a devout Puerto Rican boxing fan, called to ask Sluggers if they were carrying a boxing match. Apparently this is a question sports bars get a LOT, and — because they’re charged an arm and a leg to show the events — the answer is generally«no.» Which is totally understandable. Less understandable: responding to this question abrasively, and condescendingly lecturing the caller on how inconvenienced you are by the number of calls you’re getting. I have three questions about why this happened: 1. Is it really considered a good business practice to yell at people for asking about possibly patronizing your business? 2. Why is my friend responsible for all of the completely unrelated strangers who called to ask the same question? Was she responsible for coordinating with every other Puerto Rican boxing fan in the Puget Sound region? Should she have started the phonebook cold-calling with Alvarez? 3. Dudes, seriously? Customers are not meant for your personal catharsis. Totally disappointing — sorry to say that Sluggers won’t be receiving our business.

Sluggers is a nice dive/sports bar in a cool neighborhood. The beer selection is a little lacking but most people order the same stuff like Bud or Miller. I came here with my friends on a Saturday night and it wasn’t completely packed which was nice. The food prices were pretty good and we split a couple baskets of fries for $ 5 a piece. Each area of the bar is covered with televisions so you can watch all types of sports games. You can watch multiple games without even having to move your chair! Slugger’s is a great place to meet new people and have a fun night out with friends. The food is greasy, the beer flows and the décor isn’t half bad either. I recommend getting the Western Burger which is a good, classic burger. All the food we ordered was well cooked and had good flavor. If you’re not into sports the place has a bunch of other games to keep everyone entertained. They have darts, a pool table and a bunch of old school video and arcade games. You could spend hours and hours at Sluggers and never stop having a good time.

Went in last night, for the first time since the new owner. Drinks were poured super light and menu was totally different. Not in a good way either! My husband ordered the fish and chips, he got three peices of fish, not much larger than a chicken nugget. McDonalds is in the same parking lot, he would have been better off trying out those new fish nuggets they are advertising. My french dip was a peice of lunch meat put on the grill, just enough to dry it out. Placed on a toasted bun with nothing else. I opted for the onion rings instead of fries. The 5 that they gave me were good. Good service, but other than that… no thanks.

I’ve visited this location multiple times, and it has a great«dive bar» feel. They pour their drinks generously, which is nice. Recently, they have remodeled, and their prices went up a bit. It’s now 5.50 for a basket of fries, and that’s just silly. I come back here often, though, since the bartenders are so nice.

We went last Saturday for the first time. Wanted to meet up for a drink with friends. Surprise! Marcus is behind the bar. He is a great bartender and remembers people and their drinks. Welcome to back to Kirkland Marcus and nice to have a great bartender and bar manager back in town. We are looking forward to visiting again.

I was looking for a sports bar to watch the Sunday night game. I was in the area and this was the closest place that came up. Interesting location behind the Mcdonalds. And when I first walked in it reminded me of a strip club. Very dark all the windows blacked out or covered sticky floors. Took me a minute for my eyes to adjust. There were lots of TV’s though so I was pleased with that and they had happy hour going on. So far so good. I have to say the wings were great. The service wasn’t too bad as it wasn’t crowded by any means. Decent place to go to watch a game if you are in the area.

Nice assortment of TVs and NFL package helps a lot. Suede/Tony’s is practically across the street if you’re looking for something just a tad classier. Remember, though, it’s still a sports bar. Seems like they had more channels here, so if you’re ADD or wanna keep up on fantasy sports or something, this is the place to be. Brought my wife here had an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, the beer selection is limited unless you prefer Miller/Bud etc, but that works for most people. Had some really greasy deep fried wings, wouldn’t order them again. Beer was a little steep but I wasn’t there during happy hour or during their nightly specials. Waitstaff was particularly attentive, in fact, I think two of the male servers thought they were our waiters so every couple minutes, it seemed like someone was checking in to see if we were OK. They do have free poker a couple nights a week, I’d definitely check that out in the future.

I don’t really have a strong opinion on this place one way or the other. Food was okay, drinks were of decent strength, but nothing really caught my attention, other then the DJ spinning tunes right by the front door. Sluggers, are you sports bar or a night club? Never the two should meet. If you live north of Kirkland, keep driving into Bellevue and if you live in Bellevue, head to Seattle. How’s that for a flow chat?

I’ve been to Sluggers a few times after watching hockey games at the Kingsgate Ice Arena across the street, and it’s a pretty typical suburban strip mall sports bar. Plenty of TVs to watch the game while partaking of cheap beers, stiff pours, and big baskets of greasy food. I don’t know that it’s any sketchier than any other comparable sports bar I’ve been to, and the staff have always been cool to us non-regulars when we’ve been in. We were there over this past weekend, and there was a DJ spinning current hits that really felt out of place. Even the guy checking IDs at the door just kind of shrugged his shoulders about it when one of our hockey playing companions(who drops in after most games and practices) commented on it. Even though Tony’s is actually a bit closer to the arena, my friend and her teammates prefer Sluggers because Tony’s has karaōke and it’s impossible to find a seat or hear each other over the din. As it was, even though the place was pretty empty when we arrived, we still felt compelled to sit as far away from the speakers as possible just so we could have a conversation. Even with the odd addition of the DJ, it still feels like a solid sports bar, probably one I would have frequented back in my sports bar days if I lived in the area. And I even find myself kind of looking forward to visiting when we’re over for a game.
