No wonder they are struggling to stay open… walked in, place was really quiet at 4pm on a week day, which is a good thing if you do not like crowds. Parking just like their isles — very confusing glad it was not so busy otherwise it would be a big pain trying to get out of there. Prices are much higher than pretty much anywhere else, you get a little break if you have their membership card. after shopping for about 30 min I was ready to check out. Place was absolutely dead, but they still managed to make me wait for over 5 min. I was watching these two employees staring at a scotch tape thing trying to find the lost end. Not one during that time looked towards the registers(which they were in front of) to see if anyone was there. I was 10 feet away yet they supposedly did not see me. but they did look towards the door 3 times to see people leave. Finally this lady looks at me and says ‘Can i help you?” in a very annoyed way. I say I’m ready to check out. she points toward the end of register, i go to supposedly wrong register and guy only says something after i put all my items on the counter one by one. Could have said something earlier… I’ve had enough, so I ask — «Does it really take two employees to figure out scotch tape?» so the i now get attitude from both of employees. At first I wanted to just pay and leave since i already spend over half an hour picking out my stuff, but after I heard that sealing some some box was more important to Rite Aid employees than taking my money I decided to leave and go to Walgreens. At wallgreens i got things for less money plus they had 3 registers open, i not only did not wait, but the cashier asked me how my day was going using my name. I later called rite aid and told the store manager what happened, to which she said ‘she’ll have a talk with those two employees’ and that was it. It seems that Rite Aid does not want my business, I’ll keep going to Walgreens.

Case in point: No one, not anyone likes filling a prescription. Thank gawd Rite Aid at Totem Lake gets it done AND they have a drive thru so you can chillax in your jammies without a bra on to pick up your scripts when you feel like hammered dog crap. You know that drill and you wish your pharmacy did such things. Perhaps it does, but not like mine. Mine does it right EVERYSINGLETIME when filling a prescription AND they can text you when your order is complete, if you sign up for said service.(Two people you can DEFINITELYRELYON? Anush and AJ. They are pharmacy technicians.) Here’s why they don’t get the five-star service. It’s certainly not the pharmacy’s fault. It’s the damn front-end’s fault. Could they possibly EVER open a second cashier? Apparently not. This results in pissed off customers and lackadaisical employees who seem to care not… uh…if they did, they would call for a second cashier… right?! Right. Yet, I do always find what I need and this Rite Aid is laid out nicely, is always well-stocked…the parking is great… but a pain in the azz to get in and out of. It’s a hell of a time turning LEFT into that joint if you’re headed east or north. Or try getting out of there when there’s traffic. Yeah. That’s a problem.

This store is set up funny. Some of the aisles are angled, which makes it hard to see the other aisles, I don’t know. I hate coming here because pulling in and out sucks, but I had to stop in and grab something for the hubs, so this was it.

This was my first time at this location. It seems like a rather small store. Plenty of parking. The receipt shows their logo and says, «With us, it’s personal.» Yet in looking at the receipt there’s nothing personal with Store #5192, Register #5 Transaction #452780 and Cashier #51925964. Most other stores will tell your your Cashier’s name and even the name/number of the Manager(such as Safeway, etc.). That’s neither here nor there, and doesn’t really matter to me… I just thought it was funny they are calling themselves personal and identify everything with 5 to 8 digit numbers. There’s nothing more impersonal than being identified by a number. Anyhoo…I came in for one thing and eventually found it after I asked a worker. She was friendly and knew the exact location of what I needed. I picked it up, it was on sale if you had a Wellness card, which I didn’t, but Cashier #51925964 helped me with that. One thing that I noticed is that their ice cream prices were thru the roof expensive! Reminds me how much I really appreciate Grocery Outlet for stuff like that. Who’s going to pay close to $ 6 for a pint of ice cream when one could go to Grocery Outlet and pay $ 1.99 or less for the same pint of ice cream?
