Really great place for lunch or dinner. Best to take out, not a lot of tables, but you can eat there too. Good gyros, shawarma, falafel. Heavy garlic, but good

Love this place! Lunchtime crowd is heavy(so plan accordingly) Falafel salad is a great vegetarian/vegan option and the hummus is unreal. Fair prices and clean dining room.

Oh my goodness, my stomach loves the Chicken Schwarma! I have only ordered here twice and been in once just to pick-up so I really can’t vouch for dine-in experiences. However, the Schwarma is all I’ll get, though I love Gyros, and it has such a blast of flavors, I can’t help but smile every time I take a bite. I can’t eat wheat anymore so I can’t add pita and stuff the delicious blend of vegetables, rice, hummus, and meat inside. :( It really doesn’t need the pita to complete the dish. The to-go dish is packed FULL with all the vegetables, meat, and rice all mixed together with that yummy white sauce(not sure what it’s called). Hummus is packed off to the side in a smaller slot in the tray/dish. Oh my goodness, just dig in your fork and enjoy all the flavors of schwarma, again it’s the only thing I will get from here since I can’t have wheat. I believe this dish is $ 11+tax but I went on a Sunday for pick-up so possibly prices change on demand but you get so MUCH for the dish. It’s definitely something I had left over and I do not like left overs for most take-out foods. This dish was equally as delicious the next day for lunch. If you are worried about smelling like garlic, then I wouldn’t eat it before a work day or during work time — maybe just weekends for the worried folks. Although, I didn’t smell after eating it nor smell it badly from the dish. It doesn’t have much garlic I believe and I’m super sensitive to smells. Anyway, this place was introduced to me by an old co-worker and I absolutely love it! Too bad the location is out of the way from my home/work but if I’m in the area or want to recommend a place to have a lunch/dinner date with friends, I would go out of the way for it. :) Yay for Mediterranean Kitchen of Kirkland!

I’ve ordered here a few times and I’ve never had a bad experience. The prices are fine, the portions are bigger than average, and service is not rude. The place definitely has a steady lunch and dinner rush. I can’t say I have ventured deep into their menu, but from what I’ve had, I can’t recall being disappointed. May all time fav, and prob one of their top sellers, is the chicken thigh meal combo. I can never remember or pronounce the name – it comes with marinated chicken thighs, flavored rice, soup, salad, and pita with humus. There is a ton of food, way more than one serving, and it reheats well. I will say, be careful when you order this food and think twice about dining in. The food had a strong garlic smell, so this isn’t something you want at your desk for very long, and during the rush the dining area gets filled with the aroma of said garlic and whatever else that has been cooked. It’s not Korean bbq bad, however your clothes will retain the smells long after you have left. Definitely worth eating, but not great if you’re going to have it at your desk for a long time or if you’re olanning on kissing someone right after.

Stopped here while out of town because I cannot get food Mediterranean food in my town:( Came in around 4:30 on a Friday night and got right in. Shortly after that the place filled up. All meals start with lentil soup and warm pita. I ordered a combo of lamb and chicken shawarma. It’s not in their menu but they accommodate the request. I assumed the price point would be between the lower priced chicken and higher priced lamb, it was not, they charged the menu price listed for lamb. Dish was good had tons of veggies and moderate amount of meat. I had plenty to take home, which upon further examination proved to be mostly veggies. I deducted a star for the price. I was charged $ 25 for my plate, I feel that is a steep price for what I received.

Their food are good. That is why we keep coming back to this place. There are a few other mediterranean restaurants in our areas but we think food here is better than anywhere else. However, they always mess up with our order. We ask them not to put onion every time we order from them. They get right 1 out of 2 times. One time we were tire of dealing with their mistakes so we asked them to make it again. They were very polite and they did it. We waited for another 15 minutes. They messed up again. They made it again and they finally got it right. Tonight, we decided to order from here again because like I said their food are very good. But I was so disappointed when I opened my box because most of the veggie were burned. We really like their food but I just wish they could be more careful with their order.

This place has amazing food. Since several friends recommended it to us, we have gone back almost once a week. It is soooooo good. Highly recommended.

The lentil soup, salad, zahrah and shish tawook are all delicious. The food is filled with garlic and lemon and is so very good and spicy. It’s definitely a lot of food that can be shared or saved for leftovers. The food is heavily seasoned with garlic and other spices. The service is fast and pleasant. The Kirkland location, unlike Bellevue, is an order at the counter setup. It’s probably best for take out as the seating area is quite small and it doesn’t have the same feel as the Bellevue location but the food is equally delicious. If you haven’t been, you should try it at least once! So good!

Nothing special! Gyros are very small. overpriced, and barely come with any meat. Not tasty, too dry. I am Mediterranean and this food is BS, perhaps 10% authentic.

This place is great! I went to pick up a gyro salads(no onions and spicy) they were friendly, fast and delicious! The salad is HUGE easily enough for 2 – 3 people, it also comes with a cup of soup and pita. The meat is flavored perfectly and there are plenty of extra veggies and olives. Overall great food and service, it will remain one of my favourite spots in Kirkland on and if they sold the salad dressing I would buy it in a heart beat

It’s simple, this is the little brother or fast-food version of the big brother version in Bellevue. Been to both places a few times it is apparent that this place still has yummy food but lacks the quality of the full restaurant. The portions don’t look smaller at first but I am pretty sure they are. Most dishes I have tried at both places are just not as well cooked in the Kirkland place as they are in the Bellevue location. The service is mostly nice but certainly more on the fast food level class than the experience class at the Bellevue place. I.e. I most always get the combination shwarma and take the chicken as one example of a piece of meat which is just a tad dryer and overcharcoled at this place(Overcharcoled? Is that a word? Sorry!). I will come back here occasionally but only if I can really not make my way 10 – 15 minutes further south because the other place is worth it.

This seems to be sort of Mediterranean with a Spanish flair. The food is good, not great but it’s definitely worth a try. We tried the Zahra(cauliflower) which was okay but I’m not crazy about fried things so for me it was just okay. We also ordered the shish tawook which I liked. The serving was really big and there was a lot of meat! Perfect for sharing. The lentil soup was good, not great, a little lacking in flavor. Overall I would say you won’t be disappointed if you pick this place but it’s not anything extraordinary.

Five out of five stars! Best restaurant on the East Side! Fantastic food & service! In the summer, outside seating. For me, the critical thing about a restaurant is the food. Mediterranean Kitchen delivers a wonderful meal. A lot of food. Most dishes, two people can split. They cook their chicken perfectly. My favorite dish is the Chicken salad – grilled chicken breasts on a yummy salad.(The salad has beets, which I usually think taste like dirt, but their beets don’t have the earthy taste and taste great on this salad. You can always hold the beets.) My second favorite dish is the Algerian chicken. Yummy grilled chicken on a bed of rice. These also come with great lentil soup and pita bread. The water is very good too. There is a lot of garlic on their food, and it tastes sooo good. Try this place out!

I am obsessed with Med Kitchen. There’s one a couple blocks away from where I live in Bellevue but we happened to be in Kirkland and checked out this location. It’s a bit more casual than the Bellevue location but the prices are much better We got the chicken shawarma(my usual order), spanakopita and zahra(seasoned cauliflower). Everything was delicious!

FIVESTARSALLTHEWAY!!! This is some of the best restaurant«fast-ish» food I’ve ever had. My husband and I have nicknamed Mediterranean Kitchen as «Garlicky Goodness». I have always been and always will be true blue to Shish Tawook. In my words, this is mildly marinated, beautifully seasoned, grilled chicken breasts served over a buttery and fluffy rice. As if that wasn’t good enough, the chicken and rice are proportionately sauced with a white, garlicky-goodness sauce. It’s all served with their homemade hummus, grilled pita bread, and their down-to-your-toes, soul-warming lentil soup. My personal favorite thing to do is to: a) split the meal up into two meals… because there is such a large amount of food, it would be gluttonous for ME to eat it all at once(which I have done on numerous occasions)… b) peel off a piece of pita, slather it with some hummus, fold it around a piece of the chicken, dip the entire thing into the soup, stuff it in your mouth, and be sure to grab a napkin.

Prices seem a bit high to me for such basic food. Well to me it’s basic since I grew up eating it. My husband is constantly craving Baba ghanouj and comparing them so he decided to order the Baba ghanouj appetizer to go. About $ 7 gets you a small container plus pita. As I said a bit on the high side. The baba ghanouj was authentically smokey but lacked a certain texture and flavor that we’ve come to enjoy in our favorite versions. Don’t get me wrong, this is still a good dip. Not sure if I will ever be back to try more food here. Just not digging their menu or prices.

The house of garlic is back! I love a good healthy lunch and MK serves fresh flavorful food. While I usually order one of the shawarmas, I’ve tried nearly everything on their menu. Now that the plates are once again balanced between meat, vegetables, and rice I’m more comfortable paying their prices. The interior is clean, the décor is minimalist but comfortable, and the service is always friendly. Mediterranean Kitchen has my business again.

I am Korean, so I am no stranger to garlic. But it is so overpowering here, it gave me heartburn. If you are garlic-averse, go elsewhere. Having said that, the sandwiches are a great deal. We had the falafel sandwich and a gyro sandwich. Both had good distribution of all ingredients, including the garlic sauce. But the chicken salad was overdressed and over-flavored in every way. Saturated in oil dressing, dripping in garlic sauce, salty over-cooked chicken tenderloins. The plates and sandwiches are reasonably priced, and I’m looking forward to trying some other foods. But no more salad for me.
