Marius Wedding Photography and Videography

He creates a story through his photographs ~
I knew I wanted a photographer that could not only take good pictures but also had a very creative side. Of the dozen or so photographers we contacted with our budget restrictions only one of them were willing to work within our budget. Marius’s response was, «Let’s meet for coffee and talk.» My fiancée and I couldn’t spend a ton of money on photos but still wanted to have our wedding documented through photos. After we met with Marius and saw examples of his work and of his creative abilities (through the photo books he puts together) we knew we wanted to hire him. He was very accommodating to our budget and we felt we were getting a really good deal considering the quality of his work. In the 6 months between our first contact and our wedding date he was always very responsive to emails and phone calls. One of the selling points about Marius is that he retouches EVERY PHOTO. Other photographers I researched would include retouches on only a certain number of them.
On the day of our wedding, he arrived on time (he may have even been early). He was SO WONDERFUL with making everyone that he was photographing feel so comfortable and natural in the photos. I HATE having my picture taken but Marius truly has a gift when it comes to working with people. His manner with the young flower girl and ring bearer was very gentle and brought out the best in both of them.
Our wedding was outdoors so I should also mention that during the time we were shooting photos there were many, many moments of very heavy, heavy RAIN. He was so calm and was able to get creative in using the rain as a backdrop, using props he found around the house, etc. His calm, confident demeanor did a lot to keep me from freaking out about the weather. We had many, MANY compliments from guests about the creativity of the shots he set up. He had a way of being everywhere and capturing everything without being obtrusive about it.
It will be about 6 weeks before we get to see all of the photos he took of us but I am willing to wait. I know they are going to be amazing!
If I could change something about our experience with Marius it would be to have budgeted enough to have hired him for the engagement photos and for his video services. Knowing what we know about him, it would have been well worth the investment.
