I tried this church because it was open and affirming and close to where i live. I left the service midway because there was so much fragrance on the three ladies in front of me that it was making my eyes water and throat hurt. I wish churches were fragrance free!
I am drawn to contemporary praise and worship and the style of this church didn’t do it for me. I also didn’t see other visible LGBTQQI families, or other people in my age range, or singles. I felt out of place so I left. I found a large open and affirming church in seattle with tons of LGBTQQI representation and spirit filled, charismatic worship, which is awesome.
