I moved from MN4 months ago and the only thing I miss was my trips to Culvers! I just found out that there were Culvers Restaurants in the Houston area last night and I drove today to this one. The food here is exceptional the service flawless and they get ice cream too! If you never been to Culvers try them once you’ll come back forever!

Great place and very consistent. I come here often, the food and service is always great. The menu is huge from burger to ice cream to fried fish and chicken wings.

It was great to be treated like a VIP at a fast food restaurant. The kids menu includes ice cream for desert. And guess what? I was allowed to order the kids meal. It was perfect for a senior like me.

Best pecans I’ve ever had. The turtle sundae is amazing. Very friendly people. Wish they had Coke not Pepsi!

A definite cut above regular«fast food». The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and professional. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. Once you go to Culver’s, you will not want to go to any of the other chain fast food places. Great job Culver’s.

The last time I was in the Houston area I passed by a Culver’s. It looked really interesting so I did a little research and the next time I was in the Houston area, I made it a point to eat lunch at one. The staff is a cut above like at Chick-fil-A and they are friendly as well. I sampled a deluxe single burger, french fries and onion rings. I should have done one of the butter burgers, but I was a bit confused. I thought they were all butter burgers. Anyway, the burger was great. It was cooked after order to specification. It was the same with the fries and onions rings. They came to me piping hot and excellent. You get a placard and the food is brought to you after you order at the counter. This burger was the closest I have had to homemade. It it well above Five Guys, Smashburger, Steak and Shake and Fuddruckers in that respect. Although, each of those chains has its good points. Overall, this is my new favorite burger chain, but it has limited locations.

Of all the«burger joints» on this corner I think Culvers is the best. I have found to pretty much just stick with the burgers cause everything else they serve is kind of hit and miss. They always get our order right and it is affordable. I highly recommend this place for a good burger at a fair price.

My only knowledge of Culver’s prior to accidentally discovering this place were their high rankings in Consumer Reports among fast food chains. There aren’t many located in this part of the country and it’s always been one of those places I have heard of and never actually had the opportunity to visit. I ended up finding this place while filling my car up with gas at the adjacent Shell station while passing through the area. It looked new and had a sort of «soda shoppe» look to it. I recognized the name and went in. All I can say is, «Wow!» What a change Culver’s is from the average fast food place around here. The staff were all very friendly, especially for a first-time visitor with no knowledge of the menu. The menu is expansive, with a huge selection of various ice cream desserts and treats as well as a full menu of food, including fried chicken, burgers, fries, onion rings and cheese curds. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but it’s easy to navigate. I ended up getting an original Butterburger. They make everything to order but they offer a «Deluxe» option which is their standard burger and it has mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. My hat’s off to any burger place in Texas defaulting their burgers with mayonnaise. It’s such a fresh change from the Texas(mustard) burgers you find everywhere else. The vegetables are very fresh and perfect, unlike a lot of fast food veggies you find. The buns are toasted with butter and round out the experience. Fries are crinkle-cut and are of the frozen variety, but very good nonetheless. The cheese curds(which are really fried chunks of cheddar & mozzarella cheese) are identical to the ones served at Buffalo Wild Wings(probably the same supplier) except they’re fried in exceptionally clean oil so they taste a lot better than at BW3. They’re served with marinara sauce and are of the frozen variety. They have a nice, clean soda fountain and serve drinks in paper cups, a fresh change from Styrofoam we’re seeing around these days. They serve Pepsi and Dr. Pepper products and have their own house brands of diet and regular root beer, which are good. The facility here in Kingwood is new, clean, and brightly lit. The dining area is open and wraps around the building and it has that«soda shoppe» vibe to it. Staff walk through the restaurant regularly asking if you need anything and the tables are kept clean. They have more than enough people working here, something unusual in the fast food business these days. Culver’s is a bit of a «duck out of water» in that it’s a chain from Wisconsin sitting smack dab in the middle of the state that gave us the all mighty Whataburger, but I’m convinced there is a place for a chain like this for Texas tastes. The service and quality alone merit consideration. This is fast food and isn’t gourmet but it is a fresh change and a decent place to grab a burger. I’ve stopped in here several times since my first visit and the experience has been the same every time I’ve been here. I’m not from the Kingwood area but travel through here often and will be making an effort to stop here when I’m passing through and need a quick burger.

The food is usually pretty good and consistent the root beer float on the other hand is a different story. If you want a small order a large because it will only be about ½ full. As with other culvers watch out for the elderly employees. They are senile and rude as can be. They will make sure to remind the nice counter employees that they only offer a discount for police officers not fire fighters or ambulance drivers. Didn’t ask for a discount nor did I expect one. What I didn’t expect was old man river to be so condescending to the teen trying to make a buck.

Great food and selection, but the staff could use some work. Have experienced multiple orders where the original order was repeated to me correctly but received a different order or wrong items by the time I arrived at the drive-thru window.

Culvers is one of the best burger joints in town! They use very fresh vegetables and buns and their quality of me is excellent. Sometimes I feel that i am annoying them when I go 3 or 4 times a day. lol

This review is ONLY for my experience today. Normally I like Culver’s a lot and their burgers are great. Did the drive-thru this evening and got a two piece fish dinner. Almost $ 12.00 ??? What are they thinking? Fish was good, O-rings were blah but the green beans were so salty that they were inedible. I’ll continue to go for the burgers and shakes but that’s it… Hope this helps =)

Culver’s is AMAZING! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The menu has a large selection. They support hometown sport leagues. Staff is great. You’ll feel like part of the family after you leave… Just a tip, substitute cheese curds(instead of fries) with your combo

Culvers is a family friendly fast food joint with better than average food, IMO. This location is BRANDNEW and so it still has that fresh, new store feel. Things have not had time to get grungy yet. Yay for us early adopters. The location is very convenient, being close to the new shopping center. It’s in the front of Kingwood, so you can hit it going home or heading out. It’s more convenient for heading out, being on the outbound side of the road. Service is fast, friendly, and accurate. Even with some specialized requests, we got our food in short order, brought to our table, and it was exactly right. We even got some samples of the flavor of the month frozen custard after the lady cleared the table. This place is full of families enjoying the food and frozen custard, so don’t look for a quiet environment, however the layout is such that the place is not full of echoed noise, so we could hear better than you might expect, given it was chock full of folks. I like their fish platter, fish sandwich, and of course, the basic hamburger. Their salads look really good, but I have not tried one yet. I’ll probably do so soon, as my friend said his was really good.
