Market is great. Lots of authentic products. The small restaurant inside is also great. Very authentic — you know it’s good when you see lots of amigos eating there!

Excellent! The market side is a Hispanic Brooklyn bodega times 3; isles and isles of authentic canned goods, spices, peppers, produce, etc. But the real gem here is the small seating area and hot food bar tucked to the right of the entrance. $ 4.50 or $ 8.50 plates(based on the plate size). Beef stew over rice and beans, baked plantains, half an avocado, and a basket of chips with green sauce and avocado salsa for $ 8.50. All while watching La Rosa de Guadalupe on a ceiling mounted television. Friendly service too.

A great Hispanic market with groceries, canned goods, meat, chicken, fish, pastries, and an authentic restaurant in the back. It’s the best deal in town for Mexican /Hispanic food. I just hope Anthony Bourdainne doesn’t show up with a camera crew and spoil it!

Great food, little cost! This little restaurant is tucked in the back of a market, however it only adds to the authenticity of the restaurant. The trio of salsas served with chips to start your meal are amazing! Some of the best mexican north of the border I’ve ever had!

Before going to a show one night at UPAC, which is right next door, a friend brought me into this place for tacos. From the outside, it looks like your average Hispanic grocery store. You know, the sort of place that you would never go into if you’re not Hispanic and/or shopping for specific ethnic items. However, if you go into the back right corner of the store(follow the yellow walls along the coolers all the way to the back) you’ll find a small and not-very-fancy restaurant area. They make the best authentic Mexican tacos that I’ve found in Kingston. Delicious, cheap($ 2.50 each) and freshly made to order. They make other Mexican food back there too but all I’ve ever gotten are the tacos. This is a hidden gem but they deserve a little more traffic. Don’t expect a hip or fancy atmosphere ATALL… but do expect very good authentic Mexican tacos!
