Have a hundred dollar bill bring it. with you Its expensive but the produce is so sweet it tastes like you picked it off the tree. In fact the produce section is fabulous. They even had dandelions, and not those huge dandelion leaves most grocery stores sell and you can’t make a salad. The apricots were so sweet… exceptional. I bought some spices and crystallized ginger which was good. Then my friend and I went to the deli for a tuna sandwich on toasted bread. I have NEVER had a tuna sandwich so GOOD. I’d go back just for that.

Found the items I wanted with the assist of exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable floor person. Well stocked in array of organic produce, health oriented products. Worth going back just to bowse — smells enticing from entry point on, lighting seems well tempered — not the normal glare of a mall store, and overall clean with well ordered and stocked shelves.

It’s the closest we’ve got to a Whole Foods in the Kingston area, and it’s not half bad. The mall it’s in makes you wonder, but the store is big(it’s grown again!), stocked and there’s a good prepared food counter if you’d like to grab lunch and stay awhile. Pricey, as these things tend to be. For personality, I’d go to the Saugerties location. But for selection, this is the one you want.

I try not to shop here if I can avoid it. I expect to pay more for health food, but their prices are over-the-top on a lot of things that I have seen cheaper in New Paltz. I’m thinking, because they have more buying power than some of the smaller stores, their prices should be better — not the case at all! The prepared food at the deli is pretty good, lots of vegetarian options.

I primarily come here for the café. I would love to shop here for produce, supplements etc but honestly it’s way too expensive. The food in the café is really good. I just wish there was more of a variety. It seems over the last few years they haven’t changed their menu at all. The café staff is hit or miss. There are a few consistently friendly staff members. I would say 4 out of ten are really great. There are some however that you are almost afraid to ask anything of. They seem chronically annoyed and you better know what you want before you get to the counter because you will get the eye roll or a sideways glance if you don’t. To be perfectly honest I have actually left when I have seen that certain staff members were working. Like I said the food is great but not worth the attitude that you may have to deal with. All and all is a good place to grab a quick bite when your looking for healthy, quality food. Just be prepared it’s sometimes served with a side of attitude :)

Recently enjoyed their great salad bar and a falafel wrap from their deli/juice bar. I highly recommend this establishment to all those who enjoy organic food, groceries and produce!

The good side of Mother Earth’s: Their deli/café. A great place to stop for a healthy lunch, and the prices aren’t too bad. Their bulk spice and tea section. Very well-stocked. You can find just about anything there, such as any spice you might want to add to your collection, wonderful loose teas, and even french green clay and beeswax. Their supplement section. Unbelievable variety, and 20% off list price every day. And the bad: Their prices on many of the staples I buy regularly, such as bread, tofu, tempeh, dish soap, etc. are ridiculously overpriced. These are products I have been buying for years, even decades, in various states through my travels, and at stores large and small. It is incomprehensible how Mother Earth’s can charge the prices they do. For example: French Meadow Bread $ 6.39(vs. approx. $ 3.59 at most other stores) SunJa’s Kimchee $ 7.25(vs. $ 3.99– check their website, where it is listed for $ 3.95) Lightlife Tempeh $ 3.39(vs. $ 2.49) Edensoy Soymilk $ 3.39(varies, but sells for $ 2.69 on Eden’s website) I never shop in their produce section because the prices are just too high. I don’t understand who Mother Earth’s customers are. I wouldn’t shop there at all, except they are the only substantial natural foods store for miles around. The owners should consider the community and charge fair prices for the products they carry. The discount card doesn’t help much– you get a $ 10 coupon(which you must print out yourself) after spending $ 250. So that’s a 4% savings, on products that are marked up 20−50% higher than they should be. I contacted the company about their prices, but haven’t heard anything back. Mother Earth’s should know that it’s not just the wealthy who deserve to eat good food. The store has an unfair advantage because they have very little competition in the area. So despite their good points, I have a real problem with their policy of price gouging. The money saved on bulk spices and supplements doesn’t make up for the high prices of their staple items, which most people buy with more frequency.

If you thought Whole Foods was the high-end, natural foods sh*t, you haven’t been to Mother Earth’s. While it is smaller and more humble than the huge warehouses of Whole Foods, they are more stringent about their selections. Every single item I came across was at least certified organic. Their prices reflect the quality of their products, so it definitely affects how much you can buy here. Sometimes they will have certain items on sale, so take advantage of those. They also have a point card system unlike Whole Foods, though I’m not sure what all the perks are. I would probably favor Whole Foods given a choice since their overall selection is much larger, but Mother Earth’s is worth a look in. Also, stop by their deli corner because their food is pretty good. I always enjoy the Turkey Toastie for a light lunch. :)

I love this place. It’s so big; it stands up to Wild Oats and Whole Foods. There is so much variety. The deli in the back is great. There are so many options every day. They even have things I can eat, and I am vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and white flour free. My only gripe is their desserts. They bake them fresh there, but almost all of them are riddled with white flour! I thought this is a health food store! Regardless, that gripe isn’t big enough to give them any less than five stars.

This place was bigger then I thought it would be. There is a little café inside which is cool. The prices here are pretty high. Tazo Tea: $ 5.15(i think it was). Arctic Zero ice cream: $ 5.45. Those were the things I was most interested in. They also have self serve spices which I thought was neat, and nuts and stuff. They also have the Green Works cleaning supplies, and a small section of fresh fruits and veggies. Friendly staff, and they also have a rewards card. Spend $ 250, get $ 10 coupon which is easy to do with the prices here. Other then the price, this place is pretty good.

LOVE the food from the deli in the back! The food is fresh and healthy and the staff is the best. They also have plenty of gluten-free choices! Any special dietary needs — they have it!

What you might not know about this grocery store is that in the back they have a deli serving a variety of healthy food. There also have a lot of choices if you’re a vegetarian. There are a variety of wraps and sandwiches that they offer, which can change on a daily basis. The prices are VERY reasonable. A vegan burrito only cost $ 5 and a chicken burrito only cost $ 6, both of which come with a side of sour cream and salsa. Both are extremely filling(and I can eat a lot). There are many tasty side dishes if you are still hungry and they also have a salad bar.
