Out of all the Farmers Markets in this area this is one of the best! We drive 30 minutes to come here. Every Saturday they block off traffic on Wall Street and there are about 2 streets full of vendors. You can find stalls with cheese, fresh fruits and veggies(including organic) fish, wine, grass fed meats, farm fresh eggs and more. There are also a few food vendors that sell coffee, mexican food, pickles on a stick and baked goods. Prices are mostly reasonable. Definitely one to check out!

the place to be on saturdays in the summer. guaranteed to inspire a delish dish. people watching(and dog socializing) at its finest. best bets: the organic stands(free bird farm is one of them, the second one escapes me but is roughly across from fleisher’s), lazy acre creamery(inventive gelato), tousey raw honey, and bread alone. I only wish there were more local fruit producers who were brave enough to go organic. in the winter, it is held intermittently in the basement of the church nearby, see my tip for details.

Just about anything you need you can get at the Kingston farmers market. Fresh everything. Flowers, etc. So charming and old town feel. In the streets during the summer and now during the winter in the old Dutch Church. One of the BEST things about Kingston is this Market. I say go go go!

Wow! Another amazing market I was not anticipating being so good! Set in Kingston’s historical district on Wall Street among cafes and shops, The Kingston Farmers Market is one stop shopping no matter what you are looking for. Dozens of food and beverage slingers offering stuffed breads, flowers, some really gnarly heirloom tomatoes, blackcurrant juice, purple cauliflower, it is all there with room to spare. I need a bigger bag! ;)))

My pals picked me up from the train station in Poughkeepsie and told me the plan was to go to the Kingston farmers market. A lover of local produce, I was pretty pleased! Kingston is a perfect specimen of quaint, small town USA with its tiny shops dotting Main Street(and the family friendly Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center!) We knew were spotted as cityfolk when we heard a couple of townspeople ask aloud, «What’s a ZipCar?» as we drove by. The Kingtston farmers market, held every Saturday(rain or shine) from May through November, is a treat. It’s about a block long and includes vendors hawking everything from honey to fruit cobblers to fresh lamb. We found almost everything we needed for our day-long feast from this market. Tamales from Block Factory were a highlight: I tried three types and especially liked the chicken and cheese. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the area!
