Very good food. Probably the best in this town. Everything was prepared thoughtfully and flavorful. They make all their salsas and have won awards. We had the steak«carnitas» burrito which was seared chunks with a green salsa which was great. The tamales were a flat variety with black refried beans, cheese and avocado. More like a thick tortilla.

Phenomenal. Best food outside Mexico. I’ve been to Oxaca and Chiapas and the food here is very close. Authentic is a great way to sum up their food. We had steak and goat tacos and molotes made with beef chorizo… super filing and tasty. The owner/chef Ines and her cook Leo are super sweet. Both are from Oaxaca and know how to cook! The décor is not what you’re going for, so don’t expect anything more than basics… but the food(and service) is so worth it! Also try the horchata drink… YUM!

I finally found my go to Mexican/Oxahacan restaurant right in Kingston, NY across from the Hospital on Broadway. Never busy during the day, always fresh stuff and flavors only Oxahacans can make. All made daily and the tortillas Are very fresh. They tell you whats in the ceviche so you know. We come back often. Off street parking in the back. Always a space. Open til 8 closed on Saturday.

The staff are friendly and helpful, clean and calm setting are a nice fit. My new favorite restaurant on this side of the river. Put this place on your list of restaurants to check out!

Exceptionally simple and tasteful Oaxaca Mexican restaurant — no frills, just great food at reasonable prices served promptly by smiling happy wait staff. I needed to organize a business meeting halfway between my office in Northern New Jersey and my client’s office in Albany — Kingston seemed the perfect half-way point, so I Unilocal’d restaurants in Kingston and Just For You seemed like the perfect place — spacious, not loud, no TVs, no bar, no noisy patrons making it hard to hear yourself in conversation. The menu was nicely laid out, featuring breakfast(served all day), lunch and dinner items. Wraps, burritos, tacos, entres — the works. All nicely prepared and presented, with plenty of sides — nachos, sauces, pepper strips, onions, pickled carrots even. No one walked away from the table hungry. Overall, a very nice way to enjoy a simple, well prepared delicious meal in pleasant surroundings brought to you by equally pleasant waiters/waitresses. If you want fancy furniture, a nice oak bar with high-backed stools and all manner of fancy restaurant trappings(with their associated his prices), this place is not for you. If you want good food, cooked right and served quick, hot and plentiful — then this unique restaurant is truly Just For You.

By far the best Mexican I’ve had in the Hudson Valley. Everything is fresh and authentic. The staff is very attentive and they are able to get me in and out quickly during lunchtime haste.

ok so i came here because i was passing through kingston and other Unilocalers highlighted the restaurant as a great hole in the wall. perfect description. absolutely tremendous food. chef Leon is very talented and should probably be working for a four or five star restaurant. quick primer on Oaxacan food: very simple«peasant“Mexican food. The source of the non sweet chocolate«Mole» sauce(the black sauce on top of chicken and other dishes) lots of veggies, rice and beans. not a lot of salsa(Oaxaca is central \ western mexico) interesting note about this restaurant: the owners are 7th Day Adventists and do not eat pork. interestingly pork is a pretty big part of Oaxacan cuisine but they manage around that nicely by using goat and then heavy use of chicken, beef and chorizo. the restaurant(which is quite poorly named — how about Oaxaca? or Mole?! or Mexica?) has a really great menu — all dishes are tremendous. I would probably order a soup to start — the chicken tortilla is out of sight. Definitely get a side of tamales — they make them fresh with great meats and flavors. in terms of main course — basically Oaxacan food comes our pretty similarly: meat, side of rice, beans, queso fresco, onions and peppers. so between tacos, burritos, and the combo platter you just cant go wrong. the one thing i would *not* do at this restaurant is sell out and order a cheese quesadilla! my son, who is not an adventuresome eater at all, just loved the mole chicken. Leon cooks the onions very cleverly — sliced, then grilled, then steamed. tremendously flavorful. awesome combo. I thought the chorizo was the real winner — in a taco, burrito of combo plate. i will definitely be back here. the ambience is pretty mediocre and frankly the wait staff could do a better job explaining the menu but it’s easy to order and everything is just delicious. i did not mention price but it is *extremely* well priced and there are plenty of excellent, affordable choices on the menu. God Bless these folks! great restaurant, tremendous food, and i wish them all the best luck.

I got some food to go from here about two months ago. It was good food but a small cup of goat soup was almost $ 10. The rest of the food was great.

This place is LEGIT some of the best Mexican I have ever had. Fresh ingredients and very tasty. I had two tacos and a torta and was amazed by how good they were. The Horchata is made fresh to order and is simply delicious. We’ll be back!

First place in awhile I’ve been to in Kingston that has authentic, mexican home-cooking. I enjoyed my enmoladas quite a bit though my wife thought the Tacos could have had a bit more taste. I’d stick with the traditional fare. The service was good and friendly.

Kingston New York has recently become a place to sample some great Mexican and Central American food! Just For You, opposite the Kingston Hospital on Broadway is a wonderful place. I highly recommend everyone to visit if you enjoy great Oxaxacan style Mexican and American fare. I’ve been here a number of times and have not been disappointed yet. Food is fresh well-prepared and is very reasonably priced. They offer house made fruit fresh fruit juices; I’ve only tried the tamarind drink and that was excellent. I’d like to try their Horchata(traditional Mexican rice milk) sometime soon. Their burrito is just super delicious! I also enjoy the tacos made with goat Oxaxacan style and very much enjoyed the traditional Mexican breakfast dishes. The salsa is made in house and will be prepared to your preference as far as how much Chilis you like. It’s very different, unique and some of the best I’ve ever had. The place is clean and well-kept. It’s a nice atmosphere to enjoy your meal.

Authentic Mexican. You can taste the freshness. The owners are always on site and very pleasant and always willing to offer suggestions. Kingston has so many hidden gems when it comes to restaurants and this is one of them. I will be visiting frequently.

This may be the best restaurant in Kingston right now. At least in the hole-in-the-wall category. Here we have not only authentic Oaxacan food, but a kitchen that rises above the fray and goes the extra mile. Look at this picture of the assorted Oaxacan platter(I forget what it’s called on the menu)…that onion was super special. The mole was unique and warmth-giving. I’ve had had excellent chicken pozole, and wonderful antojitos made with fresh masa and topped with fresh, fluffy white cheese and beans… the goat tacos, the Verde sauce… Go now. Note: closed on Saturdays and no pork. Not that you’ll miss it. Just have goat.

What a great Sunday brunch! Asked for suggestions for a late breakfast. The chef created a traditional Mexican breakfast that included eggs, tomatoes, onions, spices all sautéed together, with black beans. And then he made tacos with eggs with chorizo. Both excellent. Unusual salsa on the side. Perfectly ripe avocado. Extensive menu of their regional specialties. We will be back!
