Warriors Path State Park

Visiting from our of town… checking out the AWESOME playground!!! Signage and locating playground on the GPS can be a little tricky finding it but there were always plenty of helpful people to give us directions to playground. Been to a lot of playgrounds and this surely deserves 5 stars.

Kingsport has very few qualities worthy of attracting out-​of-​towners, but one is great landscape. From large mountainous peaks, to the Holston river and its local tributaries, it offers excellent scenic views in most parts of the city. One area in particular, is Warriors Path State Park.
The park is nestled in a heavily wooded area right outside of town and has sections of the park right up against the water. Although it can get crowded at times, it is also very easy to find solitude in various sections of the park. It has ideal accommodations such as more than adequate parking, new playground, paved jogging loops, biking/​hiking trails, disc golf course, campgrounds, camping shelters, boat slips, pedal boat rentals, etc. Pretty much everything you would want to get the most out of a day trip.
In addition to the above, there is also a golf course and horse stables for horseback riding/​lessons located elsewhere on the campgrounds. Local events are held on site on various dates.
The park is conveniently located off a side road of Ft. Henry Dr, near I-​81. Park hours range from 7am — 10pm. The park also has its own website @

Mountain Bike Trails are great. Lot’s of different levels, whether you are a beginner or expert. In the woods, creeks, views, well maintained. A lot of fun.
