Great place for seafood! I love their Caesar salad as well. Definitely my go-to place for sea food when I come to St. Mary’s

On your way to the waterfront in St. Mary’s stop by this little seafood and finger food place. Service is fairly decent and the place is clean. Rumor has it that lunch is the best time of day to mingle with the local businessman. They have exceptionally large soda and non alcoholic beverage glasses. The food is cooked mostly to order and during my visit the waitress got the order a bit Fowler up. I have no reason to believe this is the norm. However, if you are searching for information on the imported drink menu you may have to ask the management for the waitress had no knowledge of the drink menu. One of the more popular stops for local cuisine so I recommend giving it a try.

We went at about 1730 on a Saturday night and it wasn’t crowded, but it quickly picked up. My husband and I ordered the Ship for 2. It comes with 4 meats and 4 sides. We got fried shrimp, fried scallops, chicken fingers, and deviled crab. For sides We got a salad, coleslaw, cheesy grits, and steamed broccoli. I am very picky on my sweet tea, and it was excellent. The service was very fast(our waitress’s name was CJ). All the waitresses were very friendly and helped each other with tables. The salad was very good. It was made with iceberg lettuce, had a wedge of tomatoe, slice of cucumber, and some onion rings on it. They make the ranch in house(i got thousand island which was also good but after tasting the ranch wished I had gotten it.) The coleslaw was coleslaw, I feel like it’s hard to mess that up. Steamed broccoli was covered in minced garlic and butter, and was one of my favorite parts of the meal. My husband said the grits were great, I didn’t touch them. The shrimp, scallops, and chicken all had the same breading it seemed, which was a negative for me. But I’m a breading snob. None of it was dry, it was all so hot we couldn’t eat it immediately. It came out fast. Like as soon as I put down my fork from the salad CJ had our food on the table. The décor could be revamped, but it just feels homey. Its a place you can take your family and wear comfy clothes and just lay back because it’s not overly decorated or super nice. Also it was a TON of food, as CJ told us. We had to take two to go boxes with us. I would really recommend the Ship 4 One even if you are two people, because that would appropriate portions. Also the Ship 4 Two was $ 32.## With two drinks and that we got out of there for $ 40 before tip. The receipt we got had a coupon on it good for two weeks and they offer a military discount on Wednesdays. We will definitely go back. We have been to St Mary’s Seafood and More before and felt this place competed evenly on price and quality of food. St Mary’s Seafood was more of a ‘party’ crowd. Very loud, darker lighting, tables close together. So there for when you are wanting a night out on the town feel, Ship 2 Shore for when you just want to relax and have nice people take care of you.

Decent place that doesn’t get a lot of traffic. Lunch specials are great(especially the AUCE shrimp and fish). This place will guarantee you leave full. It isn’t the best, but it’s far from the worst. I usually go for the mahi or shrimp. My wife loves the buffalo shrimp meal. For group functions, they have a semi-private room for fairly large parties. The service is normal/average. The noise level is great for a quiet getaway on most days/nights. Tip: Folks may refer to this place as St. Johns Seafood. It’s the same place.

I wouldn’t even give this place a star, but the applications made me. There is no way this was fresh seafood. When I bit into my fried scallops water came out of them and they were cold. The waitress never asked how our food was, and when she brought us the check she asked us if we wanted a box. We told her no. But she didn’t ask why we were leaving a plate of food behind.

Service was fast and courteous, prices were fair, food was very good. Had the shrimp and scallops fried, the batter used was light and crispy. I would recommend.

It’s dinner time and the place is busy. 32oz cups and a midget straw. The water is definitely classic Saint Mary’s/Kingsland tap. No problem though. The sweet tea is about right, sweet as candy. That’s how things are done in the South. My coleslaw is soupy, but the flavor is right. The texture of cabbage is lost because it’s too finely shredded. It dissolves instead of existing as a substance to chew. Consistency is a problem because three of use ordered coleslaw and only one of them is texturally correct, less shredded and less soupy. Again, here is another consistency issue. One of us ordered the pollock fish platter which has six fish strips and my Mahi platter has two fish strips. We both ordered the regular size plate. The Mahi is okay fried. I should have chose the grilled version. The cook did okay seasoning this and cooking this fish without drying it out. The breading is crunchy and not too salty. It has good flavor. The hush puppies taste good. Texture is crunchy on the outside and soft and most on the inside. A little hint of sweetness is perfect. Paired with the tarter sauce and it is fried deliciousness. Overall the plate looks great and smells wonderful. It’s a fry house and people love this food. I’ve had some wonderful seafood in other states and if I really wanted to find a great seafood spot I would head out to Jacksonville. It’s not on the top of my list as best places to have seafood, but I’m rating this place for what is is and where it is at. Camden is a very small county and I would rate this place as the best around Camden. Saint Mary’s Seafood was the best, but they shut their doors a couple years ago. State to state I’ll rate it three stars, but for this area I’ll give it four stars.

We went in. We’re never acknowledged. One server working and loads of folks waiting on their orders to be taken or to be served. We waited a long time and never even got a drink order taken. We left and won’t return. Food and service much better at St Marys sea food and steak

I am from the Texas coast. I have prepared and eaten a great deal of seafood. This place isn’t «cool» or «hip». It is small. It is good. They don’t have an expansive menu. The short of it is that if you want to eat seafood in Kingsland go here. I tried a couple of other places, and this is clearly the best. The food is pretty damn good. I had the redfish(red drum for you Atlantic dwellers) and it was as good as anything I have prepared. Red drum is not a common frozen fish from large suppliers, but you should be able to buy it at any seafood market. This already puts this restaurant into a better tier. They serve plenty of pollock/tilapia too(the cheap fish of choice for restaurants), but at least they tell you. Pollock is perfectly good fish, I just don’t prefer it. The veggies were surprisingly good. They weren’t just a quick steamed pile of junk. I appreciated that. The hush puppies were pretty good and I don’t normally like hush puppies.

So glad we found this place! Bookmarked so we can stop next time we’re passing. The portions are huge and the food is great! We ordered the appetizer of fried onions. these were separate pieces of onion in a nice batter. Hubby had a Caesar salad that he really enjoyed. He ordered a small Trio of fried clams, fried shrimp, and chicken strips. His dish could easily have fed all 3 of us and was super. My son had chicken strips — the kids meal came with 4 huge pieces, hush puppies and fries — for only $ 4.99! My fried clam strips were delicious and the hush puppies(unlimited) were excellent. I ordered broccoli as a side, expecting plain steamed but instead received them with garlic & other spices. Too bad I was so busy with the clams and hush puppies to eat much. A second side came with the meal and I ordered a baked potato. The waitress forgot to bring it but I didn’t remind her as we had way too much food already. Oh, the sodas are huge too. The restaurant including the bathroom is clean and the waitresses are pleasant and attentive. What a great find!

Very happy with their AUCE shrimp platter. Worth the money and left there beyond full. Definitely will make a repeat visit.

Ship 2 Shore is loved by most of my family. We usually get the platter for two which comes with 4 meats and 4 sides, and hush puppies. The portion sizes have drastically changed and the chicken strip and fried fish isn’t seasoned. But, their clam strips, fried shrimp and Caesar salad is really good.

Driving through the wilderness(that is, the wilderness that is southeastern Georgia), we decided to get something to eat. Not always easy to do while you’re on the freeway. The next place that came up was called«Ship 2 Shore Seafood». Now seeing a number in a restaurant name was a bit of a new thing — it’s not uncommon in a website name or a license plate or plenty of other places, but a restaurant? We decided to give it a go, because we wanted something other than your typical chain drive-through fare. While the outside wasn’t anything too remarkable, the inside was only slightly better. A fairly simple building, and décor, with friendly staff, and when the food was delivered, there was plenty of it on the plate. Since just about everything was fried, it’s always a little more difficult to tell just how fresh things are when you receive them, but it was a good amount of food that went down well for a good price. Nothing outstanding, just good, solid food.

The grilled shrimp there could be classified as «popcorn«. It should be noted that there is a «jumbo» classification further down. I read reviews and the fried shrimp had great reviews however for the gluten-free people, who are allergic to wheat, the grilled shrimp were tasteless and small. Service was great.
