Lodge At Cabin Bluff

I’ve never been to a hunting and fishing lodge before, I don’t even hunt but a conference was held here so I went with the flow. What a pleasant surprise. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful. The staff was charming in a homey, southern hospitality kind of way but I could tell they were trained in 5-​star resort protocols. The service was first class and the food. OMG– fresh blue crabs piled high on your plate. Turkey sausage and bacon made from wild turkey. There were other critters made into food but I did not partake. The cabins themselves were part rustic, part Ralph Lauren ad. Nice finishes, great amenities and the design was updated and comfortable. The wild life on the grounds is a wonder to behold, birds, foxes, pigs, rabbits all frolicking before they get hunted down and turned into vittles. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The peaceful and serene setting of Cabin Bluff make this an incredibly relaxing resort. Whether it is sitting by the fire, fishing off the dock or eating oysters, this resort has everything a person could desire. The golf course is top notch, slow play encouraged? Why else would they load up a fishing pole on the top of the carts? The quail hunting is superb with the best dogs on earth. The sporting clays keep you on your toes. What makes this retreat worthy of 5 stars… the STAFF!!!
