This place was awesome! The grounds are super nice — sitting directly on a farm with views across the orchards when you wake up or see the sunset. It is more like staying in a townhouse with first class furniture and amenities. I seriously felt more relaxed after staying here for a couple nights than staying in Hawaii. They give you a bunch of organic fruit to eat during your stay, and pick it right off of their trees. The best apples I’ve ever had!

Was a fantastic bed and breakfast! Very quiet and relazing(that’s a combination of relaxing and lazing). Some highlights for us were the delicious and plentiful breakfast food provided in the room(so we could sleep in as late as we wanted), the hot tub, and the pool. Would have loved to kayak on the river, but thanks to the drought we took a hike in the river bed instead. If I returned, I would do so at a time of year it’s not so hot. I would recommend this place!

Great stay in their sunset room(with wife and two kids). Clean, sizable accommodations, lots of farm to explore(and fruit to try), really nice hosts, and I love the basketball/tennis court. Couldn’t imagine a better 2⁄3 day out with the family – especially if you have young kids.

This is the 2nd time to stay here for our family. Both time experience here so far are great! My girls 4 and 6 years old love it so much! If you have small children or love nature and organic, you will love here. I totally recommend it. A lot of activities you can do and can feel nature and relaxing, tasty muffins and organic fruits for breakfast, who doesn’t love those? We are already finding dates we can come back here for next time :)

I had a booking to stay here that I made more than 4 weeks in advance. They confirmed the booking the day before the stay and then at five o’clock that same night they text that they double booked and maybe we could stay in there other room with less beds and offered and air matress. I really felt like this was so unprofessional. I would not recommend this place as who knows if you will actually get the booking!

A visit to Jackson Family Farm Stay is as tranquil as it is educational. My group’s visit to Kingsburg in July was to tour the Abundant Harvest Organics packing facility and farm. On arriving at the Jackson Family Farm we were greeted with warm waves from the workers packing apples and shown our accommodations by owners Sara and Rob Jackson. The suites are new and designed to evoke the comfort of home. Our room had a balcony and was one hundred feet from the banks of the Kings River. The refrigerator was stocked with Orange Juice, Milk, and Yogurt and on the table was an assortment of freshly picked organic apples and Asian pears. We chatted with Rob and Sara and then were off to tour The Peterson Family Farm the home of Abundant Harvest. Now it might seem rude to keep dropping the Abundant Harvest name in this review, but the Jacksons and the Petersons are family. And on the farm stay we were treated like one of the many distant relatives of the Jacksons and Petersons who farm in the Kingsburg region. After the tour at AHO we swam in the family pool and walked the grounds. Rob sat down for a visit and explained the history of his farm, his philosophy on organic farming, and his passion for education. In fact the farm stay is a project of one of his students. That evening we sat on the banks of the Kings River and watched boaters cruise up and down pulling skiers. Apparently the river has been bone dry recently, so this was a treat for us and them. As the day began to fade my friends and I watched the sunset behind the two hundred year old oak trees that line the bank of the river. That night we sat outside on the balcony overlooking the Asian Pear orchard eating one of the best vegetarian pizzas(they pack on the veggies) from Corsaro’s Family Pizza and chatted about farming, sustainability, and simplicity. Finally we all fell asleep to the sound of the ancient oaks rustling in the breeze for one of the most restful nights sleep I have had in sometime. The next morning we filled up on Sara’s amazing complimentary gluten free muffins delivered fresh to our room. Then met Rob at 8AM for a golf cart tour of the farm and education in the cost of organic farming, picking apples for shipment without bruising them, raising all natural chickens without grains, water management in the California’s Central Valley, and the importance of the Central Valley to America’s food supply. Along the way we met the farm hands, summer help, and a high school senior from France who is spending a summer picking apples. Rob is very proud that he has enough work to keep fifteen people employed full-time year round and everyone we saw sure was happy to be there. We left that morning blown away by our experience and what we learned. We felt refreshed and ready to deal with the hustle of the city again, but sad to leave. Meeting our farmers that grow our food made us not only appreciative of their effort, but more aware of how privileged we are to have healthy, nutritious, organic food grown so close to home and so readily available. How many other vacations get you this connected with the circle of your life? I will be visiting the Jackson Family Farm Stay whenever I need refreshed and recharged.
