Lucky 7 Tattoo & Piercing

Chris is awesome! Went in on Valentine’s Day and got my nose pierced! Yes they’re open 7 days a week, so if you’re feeling spontaneous, get to it. They’re waiting!
She worked her ass off to get my previous nose piercing hole open, so I didn’t have to wait for a fresh piercing to heal again! Success!
Best part of just reopening the hole is I only had to pay for the jewelry. She worked her butt off because she’s a sweet thang and wants to save her customers money! Of course, I tipped her!
Anyways, overall a wonderful experience, plus the drive up from Carson City is beautiful!

Best place to get a tattoo & piercing in all of Lake Tahoe. We live in Carlsbad, CA & we get all our tattoos & piercings here. When we’re here they really make us feel welcome. It feels like you’re at home. The owners Kathleen & Russell are awesome. My last tattoo was done by Charlie & he did a great job on my dolphin tat. Thanks Charlie!

If you want a clean, cool, and friendly place to get tattoed, this would be the spot!!! Last night my friend and I were exploring south lake when we decided to come up here and lucky for me, Russell was available to do two small tatts I wanted. I told him what I wanted and where. He was very honest with me and told me straight up how my tattoo placement was going to look and helped me change my mind and put them in spots I absolutely love. He was so friendly and personable. Not to mention his knowledge for tattoos and preparing you before of what it may feel like.
The thing I appreciated a lot was how gentle Russell was in his tattooing. He didn’t dig in like a lot of artists seem to like doing. The pricing was reasonable, they are dog friendly for friendly pups, and they were just straight up awesome. Russell did exactly what I wanted and I cannot wait to come back with my friend for her piece she wants.
You know you have a great artist when he gets excited about a piece you want. Keep it up, Russell! :)

Just got my naval pierced with Kathleen and it was a great experience. There was no judgment she totally made me feel at ease. She was really funny and outgoing, we analyzed the sharpie mark and it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would because she was so fast and used good products. All in all clean place and a good deal. I would def come again for another piercing.

Amazing!!! First time and they were so helpful and knowledgable! Only took 2 hours for both of us from the minute we walked in til we left! Thanks guys!!!

I went in and spoke with Kathleen and Russell about getting a phoenix to symbolize my overcoming a struggle. I gave them a drawing and Russell got it all done in a day! It is amazing and he was so nice! I will definitely be using him for my future tattoos.

My wife and I got pierced by Chris and she was amazing. She took the time to explain the process and was sensitive to my nervousness. She makes sure that you walk out of there with a piercing you are happy with and she can be proud to say she did.
I also really enjoy the oil mix that she uses for aftercare.

Have wanted to get my son’s jersey number on me for a while. While on vacation this past week I drove by Lucky 7 on the way to the cabin I was staying at. I emailed them that evening and had a reply the next day. I was then texting to get more info on artist and design plans. Travis is the artist who helped me and he pretty much nailed the font and colors I was wanting. I was nervous as he didn’t have a bio or photos to look at but by the time I walked out of there I knew that on my next vacation I’d more than likely hit Travis up to do more work. The shop and staff were all stellar. And they play good oldies vs the loud metal crap most do. Cheers to Lucky 7 and thanks for hooking up my kids number.

KISS: acronym for keeping it simple and sweet. It’s pretty much what my experience was when I went to get a spectrum piercing. The owner was in business for more than 25 years and her coworkers are very knowledgeable and expert. Bonus: essential oil provided to customers for free. Tree oil with lavender was what they gave me for my healing progress. Cheers! –M

We walked in today and were instantly greeted by Chris with a friendly and professional demeanor. I got an orbital piercing and she was so helpful and very knowledgeable.
She answered every question I had and was very aware and practiced good, safe hygiene. I was pretty nervous and she calmed me down and made the experience very enjoyable and I was stoked on my new piercing. I absolutely love it!
Not only did she answer questions about the piercing itself but was very thorough measuring my ear and making sure she used the right size jewelry on my ear.
The shop was clean and well organized. It’s a great location that’s easy to get to! And the staff is very personable and professional.

Travis is a great artist. He accommodated my schedule, and was graceful while doing his work. He allowed my friend to sit with me as well. The shop was beyond my expectations. Much thanks.

This place is the best piercing place I’ve ever been too! Gotten a lot of piercings over the years, and this place knocks everyone out of the water. Super patient with figuring out exactly where I wanted the piercing to giving me a free vile of tea tree oil blend. Was a really great experience and will be back!

I love this place! I went to get my nose pierced and the ladies there were amazing. I recommend everyone to go here. I will drive two hours out of my way to get another piercing if I have to. So welcoming and I felt beyond comfortable. Thank you ladies!

I came here on a seriously spur of the moment while up in North shore for a family vacation and all us girls were walking by all the shops and I stumbled by this very cute tattoo parlor and walked in and was greeted by a very friendly down to earth girl and was so sweet! Just showed me around and showed me the books of the artists work. she really worked with me and gave me a more then reasonable price on my Lake Tahoe tattoo I wanted. I used to live in North shore as a child and its ALWAYS had a spot in my heart and wanted to have a tattoo of the lake with the rich blue color. I was given to Corey and he was an amazing artist. At the time Russel was also tattoo a girl and it was a great and friendly atmosphere in there just very laid back and a fun place to get a tattoo. This guys are great at tattooing! Their work area was clean and not messy. you can smell the area has been cleaned recently which is always good! Corey made sure the placement of my tattoo on my leg was perfect and relaid it a few times to be positive its the way it should be! The coloring came out JUST the way I wanted. it healed up perfectly without any issues! Im from the Bay Area Ca and my husband wants a half sleeve and has thought of making plans to just drive up here to get tattooed by Russell! A++ work, friendliness, and would recommend to any!

Love this place! The lady who did my belly piercing (which I believe is the owner) was so wonderful! She talked me through the whole process and was extremely sweet and attentive.

My husband and I lost our daughter in February 2014 when I was 5 months pregnant. We wanted to get a tattoo in honor of her. These would be our first tattoos so we made sure to do our research to find a good artist.
With many excellent recommendations we went to Russell with our ideas. He was absolutely incredible and we could not have asked for better results.
The rest of the staff is extremely easy to work with and nice. We will definitely be going back for any further tattoos.

My husband and I have been looking to get tattoos for about 6 months now and came across Lucky 7 while on vacation in Tahoe. Like everyone, I read the reviews and we found ourselves inside Lucky 7. Kathleen greeted us and asked what we had in mind. We told her what we wanted and she said she would be able to do them that day but had a couple people ahead of us. Instead of waiting we opted to make an appointment for the next day. Usually a deposit is required but she waived this.
I ended up getting my tattoo that day and my husband was scheduled for the next day. We ended up having to leave Tahoe earlier than expected because of an animal emergency and we called to cancel our appt. Not only was Kathleen totally understanding about the situation, I expected to have to pay the deposit over the phone since we canceled, she said no problem!
Thank you Kathleen and Corey for an amazing experience for my first tattoo. When I am ready for another one, I will be driving up and visiting again!

When you walk in, you’re greeted by a couple of friendly staff members. The artists’ portfolios are right there on a table for you to browse through. There also is plenty of jewelry to choose from, even original artwork and swag for sale. It is not intimidating by any means, so first timers should have no fears about stopping by.
I’ve been coming to Lucky 7 since I was 16. That’s when I met Kathleen who immediately made me feel comfortable and safe. Every time I come in for a new piercing she is always extremely professional, and extremely clean. She takes her time with making sure the placement is how I want it. She’s great at explaining what she’s doing and educating me on how to take care of my new jewelry.
I have personally been tattooed by one of the artists here, and haven’t felt this comfortable and confident with an artist and their work as I did with Russell.
I came to Russell with an vague idea of a button; (for my Grama) the sketch he came back with was better than I had pictured. This button is so special to me and now I have some amazing ink to keep my Grama with me.
If your looking for amazing prices and talent, all you gotta do is walk thru the doors…:)

I’ve been in here twice for help on a piercing and they have been incredible both times! Great customer service. Both times I got help for my piercing without buying anything when I didn’t even get my piercing done here!
