Had the grilled chicken Caesar salad and several adult beverages. Watched my Panthers make it to the Superbowl. Amy, the bartender was awesome. Great times with local peeps. Highly recommend Dambar to everyone passing through.

Never again. The 2 stars are for the tumbleweed appetizer only. The service was forgetful and loud. So we ordered 2 ribeye steaks. I’d been telling my husband about this steak for months. And of course you know it had to be a complete failure when he tried it. Served wrong(yes, no mushrooms means no mushrooms) and over cooked. Now we get to mine. Or what there was of it. Over half was fat and gristle. Yes, I know about marbling. Marbling and some fat is ok — but over half? For $ 28? So we commented on it. «We will take care of it» says our sever(loudly). In their mind the $ 6 off the meal is «taking care». I’m not even going to get into my mother’s prime rib. But yes, another $ 6 off. Wow. $ 12 off a $ 100 meal for 3 people? No cocktails on that bill either. For that money, I would at least expect a decent meal. And how about those rolls? Rolls? We were supposed to have rolls? Yes. She forgot all 3 times she told us she was bringing them. Lesson learned. Lost customer. Oh, before I forget — you keep slamming that door into the booth Pam. It makes for create atmosphere.

I do not like to receive lukewarm to cold food, especially when a restaurant is not busy. We thought this would be a real good place for steak, it was not. Hub ordered rare prime rib it came out medium. I ordered the ribeye it was barely lukewarm. My hubs potato was cold, would not even melt the butter. Additionally his salad was wilted. He then ordered a medium well chop steak. It came out rare. The staff was ultra friendly and the manager was amicable and fixed our meals with a discount. This place is OTL… off the list. A steakhouse is where folks go to get steak cooked correctly, a big swing and a miss.

Food was great and service was excellent! They even give you a side of cowboy beans :-) They had a full menu with reasonable prices and a funky and casual atmosphere. The bar tender was very nice the food came out fast. We got a 10% discount because we stayed at the El Trovatore Motel down the street. My husband and I are traveling musicians and we love down home places to get a good bite. To learn more about our travels on tour, visit

Sat right down and were served some yummy cheddar biscuits. Menu had a lot to offer. I ordered the ranch steak and mash potatoes. Steak was nice and flavorful and juicy. Mash potatoes were great! My boyfriend orders the chicken fried steak which was equally just as yummy. Server was great too. Loved it here

Went to the Dambar steakhouse with my fiancée and we had the A1 burger with steak fries and the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, long story short — it was pretty amazing. The A1 burger was topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, cheese, ¼ pound patty on ciabatta and was served with a generous side of fries. The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was served with cheddar cheese, onion rings and bbq sauce, ¼ pound patty on a ciabatta roll. Both burgers were juicy and had amazing flavor. Both meals were $ 10.99. If you’re looking for a place to get a great burger, I suggest you try the Dambar if you haven’t yet!

We ordered steak cooked medium. When it came out, not only was it well done, it looked like it’s been reheated owing to the physical characteristic of the steak — no fresh grill sear/char/bark nor any trace of moisture in the meat itself. I know it was well done but it was more like warm, thick jerky. I can only speculate how old that steak was, but in my opinion, the state of what was served to us was consistent with an old steak that has been reheated either on a griddle or in a microwave. My wife was nice enough not to make a big deal of it but I couldn’t just sit there watching her eat a) what was not executed as ordered and b) an obviously substandard piece of meat. When our waitress came over to ask how everything was, I started to explain the state of the steak but she took the words right out of my mouth, seemingly unsurprised that it was the way it was. She had the kitchen cook another steak and it was good. But my wife already ate some of the first one and by the time the second one came out, she had lost her appetite. On a positive note, the cheese herb biscuits were good.

Cowboy beans and my new York strip were tasteless. Beans were bland, no spice at all. They didn’t salt my steak! Forgot the biscuits after promising them. I would not have had the bad steak if my first choice, prime rib, were available. At 7 at night they were out of prime rib.

Juicy delicious steak and plenty of sides! Perfect after a long day on a road trip through Grand Canyon and part of route 66. We were tired and weary and arriving late on a Thursday evening and all we could see were fast food places on arrival from the East entering Kingman. We’d already agreed we wanted steak so discovering The Dambar Steakhouse was amazing!(Evening food served 3 — 10pm). We both ordered the Dambar Ribeye… Both were cooked to out liking, I opted for rare. The steak was just delicious and so tender and cooked in special seasoning which gave a slightly sweet flavour. It came with lots of trimmings — fried onions, fries, salad, cowboy beans and blue cheese dressing(all these can be swapped for alternatives so you can have it just the way you like it) The food arrived quickly… perhaps a little too quickly… We’d only just eater our biscuits and started our starter but we really didn’t mind. Staff were friendly and bubbly and always around to serve more drinks and make sure everything was okay. I think this really has to be the best meal we’ve had in the USA on our trip and one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever had. Can only fault the salad which was a little basic but we really came for the steak so who cares!

Nothing about our experience there was good, nothing. We were waiting for service to be done on our car across the street and thought we would get out of the heat, dine and rest. Ordered an appetizer basket and a veggie burger. YUK, YUK, YUK! Limp, greasy fries, bland burger and and very little of it. Not worth the price at all. Waited 35 minutes for a refill on my ice tea, passed us by over and over and ignored us totally. Would not recommend or go again, ever.

The food is so good. I make it a point to stop in every time I’m in town. Tonight, I had the fried mushrooms and steak bites. Extremely delicious! I love the battered coating and the steak was very tender. The atmosphere is casual and hometown feeling. The service was good. I would recommend everyine try the restaurant at l ed last once. You’ll be hooked!

Love this place. Our second meal here in 1.5 years, each one delicious. Tonight, after a long desert drive from the CA coast, we thoroughly enjoyed our $ 24 bottle of Pinot Noir, which was brought out immediately, along with their homemade cheese biscuits. My grilled catfish and homemade mashed potatoes were delicious, and my husband loved his Salisbury steak. Last time, he loved their ribs. This stop is our go to spot in Kingman. I didn’t snack all day on the drive because I knew what was ahead of me tonight. Same great service, too. Anticipation followed by total satisfaction.

Went for lunch. Food was good. Staff was friendly. Kingman Arizona is very limited on what to do and where to eat. For lunch this is a great place.

Surprised to find that these were the best steaks we believe we’ve ever eaten. And we’ve had steaks in Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Denver, and more. My husband had the bacon-wrapped filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. My prime rib cut was more meat than fat but still melt-in-your– mouth. Whatever they use to season the meat(may have been just salt and pepper), was mouth-watering. The baked potatoes were moist and served loaded. The pinto beans were especially flavorful and we don’t really like pintos. The salad was basic iceberg lettuce and cheddar biscuits. Even the fried ice cream was a treat(feast for the eyes and taste buds). Yes, it’s pricey(plan on about $ 25 per person), but it was worth every penny. Oh, and friendly service too.

Nettes, originelles Steakhouse Ambiente. Leckeres White Ale Bier. Mein New York Strip Steak war sehr gut. Außen kross und innen schön saftig, Beilagen sind etwas bieder, aber gut im Geschmack. Preise überdurchschnittlich. Dazu noch üppige Erwartung ans Trinkgeld! Trotzdem sehr zufrieden! Beim nächsten Tourstopp gerne wieder!

I really want to like this restaurant and I want to support businesses on Route 66 that are not all corporate… but this one needs to improve. The Food is ok– but it could be better-maybe a few more plain offerings. and the service– It took forever for anyone to pass by and even refill water or offer to get us more condiments like salsa …

So disappointed. Bland and dry food at a price that makes you expect more and unfortunately the service comes with a poor attitude. I heard at our hotel that the food choices in this town are not so good so I would save your money and get a burger at in and out.

In Kingman AZ your options are limited, and if you take my recommendations, the options just got more limited. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, but it came out medium well… I sent it back and got one less than rare… I wasn’t willing to try again. My wife ordered the prime rib and was happy with it, but by the time I got my second steak she was done i.e. We both ate alone… To round out the disappointment we ordered the brownie sundae, but after 2 bites each we realized our $ 4.99 did not go far in the brownie department. I don’t often give 1 star, but if the highlight of the meal is the French fries, it is A bad joint. If you are on Route 66, just keep on going!

I really wish I could give this place more stars but Heather, our server was a *****. I didn’t notice till she did it to other tables but she was rude and really acted like we were a burden being there. She actually got mad at me when I asked how their medium rares were. Food was good in my opinion and my boyfriend said it was decent. For that I want to give it a higher star but honestly… your server/waitress is the face of your establishment. If they suck, your direct image sucks. If I feel like I am a burden dining at your establishment, then I rather not come back.
