My friend and I, both long time Sugarloafers, rank all the mountain area restaurants each year. Tufulios generally ends up 1 or 2. It’s in the valley which adds to its appeal. Overall food quality, selection, prices and atmosphere are the criteria. Great place for families and meeting friends for drinks. Lots of sugarloaf and ski history on the walls of the bar. During the season and weekends get there before 530 or after 8. Otherwise, you will spend a fair amount of time in the cramped bar. Traditional Italian food menu. Veal Marsala is a favorite. Baked wings are awesome. Usually rotate 3 or 4 specials which add some menu diversity. Good locally owned restaurant.

I love this place! Consistently delicious up-to-date food. They’ll customize off the menu when not busy and the everyday happy hour is so fun. Every visitor I bring there has such a good time. For my Dad it has become a ritual. He comes to Maine we go to Tufulios. Every time! The décor has a story to tell and if it doesn’t you can make one up. The regulars banter across the bar and it has wines(good wines) on a tap setup. Love love love! What to eat? Sunday is two-fer, eat the steak or seafood pasta! The duck is a pleasant surprise. And hurry in for lasagne night before it’s gone. Go there for sure, there are so many surprises! I don’t want to give it all away ;)

Always a welcome end to our kidney to the loaf. Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival and always great food and drink. Have a nice wine and beer selection. Highly recommend any of the specials served nightly and pizza, our very favorite being the veggie. Also a must have are the mussels for appetizer.

4pm Grumpy Hour! If you don’t sit in Joe’s chair he may offer you a «monkey nut». Oven baked wings are awesome and cheap. Suck’em right off the bone. Great pizza(especially left overs the next morning when you’re hung over) and menu items. The specials are tasty too! Nice selection of beer and wine. Oh, and there is a full bar that I can attest to. I I always look forward to stopping in when I’m upta camp.

Tufulio’s is a really cool place, the food is fantastic given that it is alone in this otherwise baron part of Maine. In the winter when Sugarloaf is open this place is very busy, in the summer not so much but busy or not this place is always a great place to come for cheap happy hour, great food and some very friendly locals. Jean is a great bar tender and there is a loud local named Jennifer that just lights up the the place.
