The food was very good. Place is a bit outdated, but the food and the service is definitely top notch. Try the country fried pork loin with gravy… really great. Husband had the grilled chicken and mushroom sub, which he loved. I had a piece of it and it was delicious.

Simple, good southern cookin. The food is always hot and the service is always friendly. They are always busy but the servers treat you like you’re the only table there! Great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or Dinner. They are closed on Sundays though!

Ate here for the first time since moving from the area in 10 years the other day. I only had the Greek salad but it was seriously good! Nothing i couldn’t throw together myself but very good, and a great price. I’m vegetarian so, I didn’t have much of a choice, but the waitress was very efficient and everyone was very nice.

This is home cookin’. The food is good. Plain and simple. Large portions at good prices.
Lemme tell ya. Thank goodness they rotate out their weekly specials otherwise we would weigh 500 lbs. This place seems to always be packed during dinner time, so be forewarned.
Our favorite weekly or «internet» specials include: cincinatti chili (think skyline), summertime chicken («hibachi» style with zucchini and squash), chili bean taco salad, spaghetti with meatballs (their spaghetti sauce is amazeballs! and those meatballs are tender), bang bang salmon with shrimp, and the pulled pork nachos (OMG — our #1 fave). We do order off the regular menu sometimes — chopped sirloin, turkey sandwich, double bacon burger, and lasagna. And their french fries? Yes, they are the crinkle cut type… and no doubt, the best shape a french fry can come in. Ask for a side of ranch for dipping.
The country décor is homey, a little worn, and there are some tight spaces.
The food comes out fast, and the waitresses are efficient. We have two favorite waitresses and we always try to sit in their areas, but there isn’t always availability.
We’ve been there for breakfast on the weekends too, and it is super busy! If you are there for breakfast, be sure to get their cubed hasbrowned potatoes. They are da bomb diggity!
They are closed on Sundays.

I have eaten here 3 times. I keep going back hoping I will find out what is so great about it. So far I haven’t been too impressed. Everything seems like it comes from a can or freezer, and the service isn’t that great, either. I have friends that love it, but to me, there are better, cleaner places in the area.

Great food, the sitting is a little crowded but, you can not beat the prices and the overall taste of the food. This is a great place to eat, I would recommend the food to anyone that asked for a nice place to eat. My favorite place in King, NC.

I have lived in King for years… the food at King Kitchen is true southern comfort food. Ive never had anything there that I didn’t like. A true landmark of King.

I know most King — ites think this place is the freakin bomb on steroids after being blessed by a saint. It, to me, is ok. The gus burger is so wet with grease you get your own «wet floor» «piso mojado» sign for your booth. but like I said, it’s ok. I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. It just isn’t that good.

The best keep secret in King. There is nothing I can say. Try it you’ll love it. We haven’t found anything wrong. The food and the service is perfect. Promise you… You’ll keep going back…

One of those rare places where everything is good! A wide selection to choose from with generous portions at great prices. The service is pleasant and good too. I keep finding new things I like here… Give it a try.
