I will never be shopping at this Express location at King of Prussia ever again. I have never in my life, been treated so rudely by a Customer Service manager — if you can even call her that. I came in to return a couple of items that was purchased online that unfortunately did not fit my recipient. As I approached the register, the cashier started ringing up my return. But then the customer service manager wearing her headpiece came over and asked if I wanted to exchange for other items and I politely declined, saying that I needed him to come back with me to properly try on the clothing so I don’t run into this issue again. She took a look at my receipts and then walks away to a few feet away where I can still hear her clearly. She then starts to speak to someone via her headpiece and literally talks about me while I’m in hearing distance, complaining that I was returning $ 200 worth of items and now they’re not going to make their numbers for the night and complaining that I bought it all online and returning them because they didn’t fit. My friend was with me and also witnessed the entire experience and overheard her saying these things and we were both amazed at how someone could lack such manners and exhibit this kind of behavior in front of customers. I personally have worked in customer service for 10 years, and 5 of them being in a management capacity. Corporate needs to read this review, along with the many other poorly rated reviews to understand what is going on inside their stores, particularly in a high-traffic mall like KOP. Frankly, with this kind of service, you’ll always struggle to «meet your numbers». A return policy exists for a reason — I shouldn’t be shamed and feel uncomfortable for doing something I have every right to do. Shame on you, Express.

Customer service is awful. I tried to get a store credit of $ 60 on a jacket that did not fit my 20 year old daughter because it was over 90 days. They would not even give me a store credit. I had the jacket with all tags on and the receipt. I would never shop there. I waited a long period for my daughter to return home from college to try on jacket. Anyway I will never shop there again when I can purchase easily from Nordstrom and they have excellent service all around.

I don’t know whether its the brand or this particular store, but I can never seem to find something I like. I liked the woman working in the fitting room area. She was very nice and not the least bit uncomfortable when I gave her too much information.

This has to be the only Express where I can’t ever find anything I like. Sometimes, I actually wonder«Why can’t I find anything at this location?!» See, I am a huge fan of Express. Half my wardrobe is practically Express. Express is my go to store for everything ! New outfit– Express, Business meeting-Express, New Dress Pants– Express. Cute top– Express. I am actually going to a Express location during my lunch break today. So, I think you sort of get my point. However, I don’t know if it is the layout of the store? Or the staff? Maybe both?! I am not a fan of the layout of this store, it is confusing & hard for me to shop. I am used to seeing casual clothes on one side of the store & dress clothes on the opposite. At this store, things are kind of all mixed up and not sorted well. You walk in you see dresses, then casual clothes, then work clothes mixed with casual clothes. Then the jeans are around the corner with more casual clothes. Where can I find the tank tops? Front of the store. Ok, Where are the jean shorts? Back around the corner. Why aren’t the clothes easier to find? It ends up being a very frustrating experience. I usually just want to give up and walk out. Especially, if I lack patience or if it has been a long day. The staff is a little overbearing. Please don’t stare at me and keep asking me if I need help. I don’t need help, if I need help or a fitting room then I will come find you. Also, don’t stare at me as I look at clothes, it makes me feel that you think I am shoplifting and its just going to make me want to walk out. At my visit, I did end up purchasing a dress shirt which was located by the register(yes– dress shirts are by the register), a dress that I found by some casual clothes, and a shirt that I found where the dresses are. Chaos…

This store was recently remodeled and looks amazing; however, there never seems to be anything I want here! They are almost always out of my size and that’s when I can find something I actually want to buy. Even the line for the fitting room was out of control while I was there. 3 people were in multiple fitting rooms(families and whatnot) and holding fitting rooms for friends/family members while grabbing multiple extra items from the floor. And there was an employee back there watching the entire thing! It will be a long time before I find my way back to Express for anything!

Store clerk — very friendly hello and dissertation about current sales. Me: thanks, I like sales. Store clerk, 2 seconds later after I have only picked up one pair of shorts– Would you like me to start you a fitting room? What’s your name?- Me: Ooookkay. Lauren. Store clerk walks away while commando style talking into a head set, I hear my name. Store clerk 10 seconds later while i am trying to find a size and not looking in her direction — So what are we shopping for? Me: What? Nothing. Thanks. Awkwardness. As I walk to the dressing room, another clerk jumps out of nowhere — Hi Lauren! I have a dressing room all ready for you! Me: Ahhhhh! Go over to counter to pay — new clerk — those shorts are buy one get one free. Me: ok, i think I’ll grab another pair. As I walk away — Commando talk — Lauren is coming back for another pair of shorts. First sales clerk — appears out of nowhere trying to help. Me: Ahhhhh! I GOTIT! Register guy — 5 minute talk about Express credit card and exactly how many dollars I can save. Me: No. Resiter guy — 5 more minutes about how there are no charges and I can open it and pay it off tomorrow and I will save $ 15.09. Me: For the love of god NO!!! Customer service has become out of control. Just let me shop for the love of god and don’t call me by my name, it’s creepy. I understand that someone at Express headquarters read a book about sales and thinks this is how you get people but I honestly will probably never go back in that store because the sales approach was so aggressive and awkward. I don’t blame the employees I know they are forced to behave this way. I just hate it!
