Delicious! The Flammerie is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is incredible, and they always have amazing vegetarian options. The atmosphere is very cozy and beautiful. It also has a great outdoor seating area during the summer. Highly recommend!

My family(5 adults & a one year old) had dinner here tonight and it was phenomenal. The food, the service & the atmosphere all earned 5 stars independently. I had the beet carpaccio, the pork jowl, and the flourless chocolate cake and everything was excellent. The rest of my party had both soups which they raved about. The steak au poivre, pork jowls & schnitzel were also enormous hits. For dessert, we hit all the options — cinnamon brûlée, the flourless chocolate cake, and the apple cake; everyone loved everything. My one year old niece got to try little bits of everything we ordered & she loved all the food so much she clapped after each course. We all left fat & happy. We will definitely back.

Sooooooo good. My girlfriend said it was her favorite German food this side of the Atlantic Ocean. I loved it. Great beer selection and changing dinner menu each night. Destination dining at its best! I would come back up from NYC just to eat here. Seriously. This must be the place.

Ate there last night. Really good food! Everything from the appetizers to dessert was excellent! We ordered mostly German dishes. Done very nicely and nice presentation. Small, cozy place. Bar and a few tables in front. Dinning room in back.

One of my 3 local favorite restaurants with some of the tastiest food, especially their flat-bread pizza. The food here is absolutely delicious. The couple drawbacks… 1) The AC is non existent. The dining room in the back feels like a walk down a muggy alley in south east asia. Please add an AC unit in the back as well. 2) The main entrance door and steps are awkward and asking for a lawsuit. When you visit you will see what I mean. Other than that the service is fine and the food is great, and they have a nice backyard patio for seating. Highly recommended, just watch that third step by the entrance.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Upstate NY. Amazing, unique cuisine with wonderful wait staff. Classic yet modern ambience provides an incredible dining experience.

Let’s face it, outside of Hudson, there aren’t lots of great dinner options in this neck of the woods. Thank god for Flammerie. This place is charming, friendly and most importantly serious about great, reasonably priced Alsatian food. How often does everyone love what they ordered(I the«Puerco» flatbread, my wife the chicken and my father the roulade)? This is after my wonderful micro greens salad with speck. And then there was the excellent Lucien, dry Reisling. So good!

This place is mad cute. I think I’ll ask it out and perhaps we’ll get married some day. This restaurant is a German/French place. I usually tend to think restaurants that serve more than one cuisine are probably trying to make up for something, but this place does everything great! They boast using local ingredients, which I am all about. I ordered foie gras for my appetizer and the Cabbage Roulade for my entrée. Both were amazing! The foie gras was served with crushed pistachios, a sweet sauce, and microgreens. The Cabbage Roulade was a vegetarian dish served with mushroom/goat cheese filing and was set atop curried chickpeas. All I can do to describe my meal further is the stereotypical Italian gesture where you kiss your fingertips and say«Muah muah!» The restaurant also serves local beer, which went great with my food. I don’t remember what I ordered for my drinks, but they did not disappoint! My friends and I shared the three desserts they had available(coffee crème brûlée, deconstructed Black Forest cake, and salted caramel apple crepes), and by the end we were just extremely satisfied. My only gripe about my past experience(which they really couldn’t help and doesn’t affect this rating) was that the table next to us thought they would rather shush us loudly than ask us to quiet down.

This brand new restaurant in Kinderhook is a fabulous addition to the town. Not only does the creative, excellent food invite me to return, but the welcoming and warm atmosphere does as well. The owners pride themselves in the farm to table freshness. The chefs are all Culinary Institute graduates. I also like the range of offers. One can enjoy a Flamm(Alsacian flat bread) for an inexpensive dinner with children, or celebrate a special occasion with the special wines and several courses. Neighbors drop in for a glass of wine or beer in the front room for good cheer. I suggest reservations, because this restaurant is hopping and a happy place to be.
