Ken may very well be the most skilled mechanic in Columbia County if not NY. You are not going to beat the quality of workmanship elsewhere especially if you have a foreign car. I used to take my Jetta here and my husband took his Porsche. Ken knows what he is doing and he is honest and knowledgeable. Very detail oriented, wouldn’t be surprised if he finds things that get by the dealer mechanic. Plus he is friendly and delivers the small town quaint atmosphere.
I do believe he is fair in pricing, but we’ll say on the «higher side» of fair. His expertise is pricey foreign cars though and he is definitely way less than the dealership.
If you are in Columbia County and have a Toyota or Nissan or the like, you would probably make out just as well at Auto Tech Solutions, but if you have a European made car, you would be crazy not to bring your car here.

My husband takes his Subaru here and we’ve always had great service. The price is right and the owner does not try to swindle you out of everything (He’s said to us, «Well, you’ll need to replace X and Y, but you can wait until after the winter since you’re already spending $ 500.»)
I’m looking forward to buying a Subaru soon and I know where I’ll bring it.
