I love this place. One of the only few decent places to go in Killeen. Atmosphere is great and the price is reasonable. But a certain singer… plz… Im not trying to be mean but I wish they could change the singer or at least let him know that he needs more practice. I know killeen is much smaller city than the other cities around but it doesnt mean that we just deserve only that much quality of performance… plz.

It was fun when it first opened but has gone down hill. The music is not very good anymore. I don’t enjoy hearing a country guy seeing boyz to men songs… This is a classy atmosphere and the music does not compliment it ATALL!!! Don’t think we will come back again.

I used to really like this place when it first opened up but a lot changed since then. Prices went up too much for killeen prices and the quality of the musicians went down. I really hope this place goes back to what it once was.

The man I assume is the owner was a complete jerk. First of all my husband and I stepped out to smoke and then were asked to go to the side of the building then again he came out and closed is outside. When we came back in he told is if we needed to smoke to go out back. So we did next time and when the door closed behind us it locked us out.

What a fantastic experience we had at Stillhouse! We are new to Killeen, and our realtor recommended that we try Stillwater, and we are so glad that we did. The owners are onsite, and very involved and interested in their customers. Brick and Kevin were the best! The wine offerings they have are phenomenal, and the food is spectacular!!! We cannot wait to come back and bring friends and family back as well!

This is what Killeen needs for the grown folks. Best kept secret until you experience it. Great music, wine and service.

This review is based solely on the service I received last night. The atmosphere is nice, the Friday night live music was great. I was invited to a coworker’s birthday party who was not aware there was a $ 10 minimum charge Friday and Saturday nights. I will admit, it was my first time at a wine bar(or any bar) and I would’ve appreciated some direction. I walked in and without anyone to greet me, I was unsure what I was suppose to be doing. After some time, a bar tender came and showed me to my party. This part was no big deal, just a warning to others so you don’t feel foolish as I did without an understanding of how this place operates. Now everything seemed to be going fine, my table mates(6 besides myself) already had bottles of wine, and plates of hors d’oeuvres they hadn’t finished. We talked and enjoyed the music. There were no menus on the table and from what I could tell no wait staff, so I assumed people would have to go up to the bar to order something? But I wasn’t sure. It did not seem to matter. After sitting with the party for over an hour, the owner man came over and asks me if I’d been helped. He gave me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. I said a water would be fine. He showed me a little label on the menu front as he read, $ 10 minimum purchase during Friday and Saturday night. Ok, I began looking through the menu– it was all wine, he did not even offer me a food menu. Now I’ve never drank in my life; not to mention I’m in my first semester of pregnancy, and was planning on driving myself home very soon. Theres no way i was ordering a glass of wine. I figured it would be another hour before I saw him again anyway to request a food menu, but the party I was with had left over plates of food they had been offering to me– it was late, and we were not hungry. I excused myself and left. Had I known of this policy upon my arrival, I could’ve requested hors d’oeuvres to share(along with the rest of the food at the table) or i could’ve tipped $ 10 alone for the glass of water that was denied to me.(Would they permit this? I have no idea.) I felt bad for my birthday co-worker who had invited me, as she said, with all the bottles of wine ordered, our table was well over the $ 10 average per person. She was so apologetic, though I tried to reassure her it was fine. I do hope they didn’t stick her with an extra $ 10 bill for my presence– I guess I’ll find out Monday at work. I feel bad for the owner as well– there’s not a lot of logic to what he is doing. Don’t get me wrong– i understand why a policy like this exists on live music nights, its quite reasonable. But his logic was not reasonable; and here’s why– he asked at one point who was there for their first time. Five out of seven in our group raised their hand. Had he averaged out that the table had spent over $ 10 a person(maybe just designated a plate of food toward my sitting in his chair for an hour), more of us in the group would be likely to return. Everyone at the table was surprised he would demand this, and definitely not pleased. Knowing I didn’t drink definitely added to their concern. Personally, I had already thought of some wine loving friends from Killeen and temple who I wanted to recommend the place to. I even had planned to check out their trivia night and salsa night with my husband, who loves wine. I believe he would’ve enjoyed it, as he loves salsa and I enjoy trivia. Well, I don’t plan on bashing the place to others, but I sure wont be recommending it and i will not be returning. Again, I do not have an issue with the policy– just the awkward encounter and situation it put me and the party I was with in. I did ask a bartender before I left(I was going to explain my predicament), he said what my coworker said– he thought my table was over the average. I do hope the owner learns that when it comes to customers, service makes the experience. The extra $ 10 he was hoping for last night will cost him a whole lot more overall.

I am a huge fan of wine bars. It seems that in Killeen those places do not attract a crowd of young professionals like in the city. This place would be OK if you are 40+ with your lover, not your friends.

Owner(I assume) was talkative and offering advice to everyone. I probably should have asked him if he had sommelier experience but oh well. Regardless whatever he recommended based on my preferences were good if not excellent. They had a great deal of choosing a 4 wine flight from anything on the menu for $ 19. Not too bad at all. Salsa night was a plus and apparently they do other events. If I lived in this area I would definitely come back.

Don’t get me wrong the atmosphere is rather conducive to a relaxing experience. Trivia night on Thursdays is pretty fun and they do offer pizza to the players for a donation if you want. However the service is less than good, sub-par at best. And the Wine Prices are outrageous!!! Best to find a BYOB place and buy the bottles yourself. Save like 25% that way

This place is an excellent upscale wine bar. The customer base was an older crowd ranging from late 20’s to early 40’s. The wine menu is very robust and all encompassing and offers a variety of flights to try different wines. I wish they offered a complimentary snack to clear your palette. If you order a bottle and don’t finish it you are allowed to cork it and take it home. They also offer a modest food menu consisting of finer cheese and rich desserts. I would recommend eating a modest meal before stopping in here. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music and I heard someone saying they offer salsa lessons on Wednesday evenings so I am sure this place does a variety of events. The music was great, it was an older white gentleman singing jazz with his trumpet, and a dj picking out various smokey Robinson tracks. But boy was it too loud. They have a really top dollar sound system(at least the dj did not sure who owns it) and it dominated the tiny room. I couldn’t have a good conversation with my date but the whole place was loving it so I didn’t raise a complaint. The service was okay. They were understaffed for the large crowd and it took a long time to get any drinks or even the check. It was almost 25 minutes after we ordered before we got our first drink. The staff was great, friendly, and knowledgeable, this place just needs one or two more servers when it is that busy. They do take reservations and if you are coming with a group larger than 2 or 3 you need to call ahead and make one. There really isn’t that much space or seating. They have three or four tables large enough for groups of 10 and several tables perfect for groups of four or less. All in all I really liked this place and will give it another shot. If the music volume is better I will new coming back and update this to a five star. If not I probably won’t go back.

What a pleasant surprise! I’ve driven by there quite a lot because I live nearby and didn’t even know it was open, until last Saturday night. My husband, myself and another couple went there around 11ish, and it was great. Live music, great atmosphere(especially for Killeen! What a shocker), wonderful wine selection that isn’t expensive at all(plus a beer selection for the non-winos!) Killeen needs more places like this!

I recently attended a co-worker’s birthday celebration there and I was pleasantly surprised. It drive by all the time and I thought it was closed down. The staff is super friendly and laid back. The wine and beer are reasonably priced. I loved the couches; they were comfortable. If you want to unwind after work and have some wine, this is definitely the place to go. I heard they have live music on the weekends, but I’m not sure. Make sure you eat before because they don’t have food.

This place was pretty cool. I didn’t expect much but the ambiance and service was very nice. Not a very big selection of wines with flights but enough to enjoy your stay. We went on a Saturday and they had live singers who were very good. It got very packed and people continued to come. I guess this is the new hot spot for classy adults here in Killeen: P The hours on here are wrong so make sure you visit the website before heading over there. Cheers!

Great wine selection and beer selection for the non wine drinkers! Live music on the weekends also! Staff is knowledgeable on the wines and matched us up right away to what we liked! First wine we tasted was the one that fit both my wife and I exactly! Also have cheeses and desserts on the menu as well. You can also buy the bottle and have it corked to take home to finish later. Many wines available by the glass, and a couple beers on tap. 30 beers by the bottle also.

This is a great place to either«wine» down with friends or have a romantic moment after a long week. It opens at 4 pm. There is live music on Friday and Saturday that starts around 8 pm and ends at midnight, so It is best to get there around 7 for a seating choice. The room is not large so it fills quickly. Musical acts are usually solo because of the small area, and the type of music varies from week to week. We were entertained by a jazz saxophonist who played beautifully. They offer both wine and beer as well as cheese plates and a couple of dessert selections. You can buy wine by the glass or bottle or purchase wine flights for variety. Nonalcoholic beverages are offered as well. The atmosphere is classy and cozy. It is expensive, but nice. They really needed more waitstaff on the night we were there, so be prepared to wait for your order.

This place is definitely something Killeen needs! My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday night, there was a saxophonist playing. It was a very nice, classier, refreshing change from the usual bars around the area. I had a glass of Zinfandel, he had the Moscato. We also shared one of the cheese and cracker plates, which had a good variety of cheese. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, as I said, a great change to the usual scenery in Killeen!
