Do not rent from these ppl. If you look up the definition of slumlord I am sure this rental property will pop up. My boyfriend and I moved to this townhouse in November of 2014. There was so much wrong with this townhouse and the landlord informed us that things would be taken care of. Well for starters the dishwasher wasn’t working, there was a cabinet door missing in the restroom, the tile was coming off of the stairs and there were holes in the walls in the bedroom, also a busted window in the master bedroom. We were evicted in May of 2015 because of us not payinh all the rent. We couldve paid the rest of the rent. From November until April nothing and i mean absolutely nothing was getting fixed in our place. We were fed up and we expressed how we felt to our landlord. She has always been rude but now she was very obnoxious and very rude because we informed her of all the things that needed to be repaired in our place. on top of not having a window in our master bedroom… we had to deal with bugs heat when it was hot and of course throughout winter we froze. We went to court in confidence and expected to get some understanding from the judge. We had all our receipts, pictures and tect messages to provide to the judge to defend our case. We never said that we weren’t going to pay the rest of our rent. we informed her that when we can have a window installed then she can have her money. Well lets just say we basically got slapped in the face. First off court was set to start at 1pm, the landlord showed up 20mins late on top of her being rwal good friends with the judge. We finally got our chance to speak and we got no justification nor did we get respect. The judge was extremely rude and basically let us know that there qas no need to file an appel because no other judge would go against him. She yelled obscenities towards us and she lied about our monthly rent. i could go on for days about these ppl. Beware of this slumlord and her husband.
