I don’t know where the positive reviews for this place are coming from! Maybe things have gone downhill lately? This place was such a huge disappointment. The goat roti was the worst I’ve ever had. It was watery and flavorless, and it was just goat, no potatoes or anything. I was actually lucky to even get it, since they were out of everything but 2 things on the menu. There were no knives, no ice, and the [warm] fountain drinks tasted like some kind of cleaning fluid. I wanted to like this place so badly, I drove an hour just to get some roti! But I’ll never be back. Please do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are so many other amazing restaurants in town!

This place is a hidden gem. Food was great and loved that they had a mini supermarket to purchase all of your beloved carribbean items like shirley biscuits, grace products, spices, pepper sauce, etc. Oh and they have an ice cream section with unique hard to find ice cream like rum raisin. Great place.

Had a taste for Carribean food like what I can find in Boston area. Ordered curry goat and friend ordered oxtails. Food was authentic, delicious. We will return. Highly recommend.

Simply put: Great Staff, Great Food. If you want real Caribbean food cooked by real West Indians, this is where you need to go. The other Caribbean restaurants in the area do not nearly match. FOOD: Authentic Caribbean cuisine. There are daily specials, groceries, cold drinks in a fridge and your average fountain beverages, blue bell ice cream as well! Food is always hot, expect about a twenty minute wait as the food it cooked and not pre made. PRICE: The price you pay is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. You can also purchase seasoning, teas, and other provisions in their market as well! STAFF: Friendly, serviceable staff. Great customer service. You can call ahead of you know you will be in a rush and they will expedite your order.

Great food and friendly… If you come here enough they’ll know your name and know how you like you plate. Great selection of drinks and they even have a little grocery area with all sorts of island products. This is my spot and I’m a big fan. The owner is so nice and always says hi if it ain’t too busy. Come on down to this spot and support this small business. I know these mainstream fast food chains are all around but this is home cooked fresh ingredients which are all unprocessed.

Wow!!! As a recent transplant from S. Florida I have been a mission for some great Jamaican food. Today I had an oxtail dinner and brown stew chicken(for my family and me). The oxtail dinner was amazing!!! Sometimes Oxtails if not cooked correctly can be tough and bland. I’d had plenty of Jamaican food and I must say these were the best Oxtails I’ve ever had! There was the Pete t amount of spice but then there was an unusual sweetness about them. Never tasted Oxtails like these before. The brown stew chicken was awesome, properly seasoned and even the color of the broth/gravy was perfect. The rice and peas was good but my complaint it wasn’t enough for a large dinner. Lastly the plantains were good as well. Killeen is a bit of a drive for me but I will definitely make the drive for their food!

Food was pretty good. I ordered the jerk chicken and stew chicken… Jerk chicken wasn’t really spicy but was still flavorful.

The food was delicious. First impressions are lasting ones. I had white rice with oxtail a and it was amazing, however their prices are ridiculous for the portions they serve.

Oxtail meat was unsatisfactory, very small portion. Chicken jerk is pretty good. Good customer service.

Ordered the«Jerk Chicken» dinner. Got a whooooooooole bunch of rice, two med pieces of chicken backbone(no meat just skin), one leg, and part of breast containing large part of wing bone. Lol I was looking forward to «meat» with my meal… not skin and large pieces of bone that just happened to have some meat on them. A large plate of rice, some plantains, skin and bones for the price… REALLY??? 2STARS!!! If I wanted a bag of rice with my meal… lemme stop. Just beware.

This place is a better caribbean restaurant than the others around town. There is a store inside that carries spices and other product catering to the carribean shopper. Seats are limited especially around lunch, I usually have lunch around 11am when it’s still slow. The customer service is ok and the food quality is good. From the carribean restaurant’s in town that I have experienced, I would recommend anyone with exotic taste bads to try this place out.

The food: I had a curried goat roti, which came with 3 small pieces of fried plantains and cabbage. The goat was tender, but had bones in it. There wasn’t a significant amount of meat and it cost $ 11. I originally wanted the chicken curry roti, but I was informed that the chicken was not ready and would have to wait 20min. The wait for the food was still long even though I got the goat. My friend’s brown stewed chicken had a lot of bones as well. I asked for no cabbage, but cabbage came with my food. The food is served in styrofoam carry out containers, even when dining in, and they hand out plastic forks. I had to ask for a knife, and trying not to cut through the box to cut up my roti was tricky. I wish they served food on plates. The cashier wasn’t the most friendly and she forgot to give me the beef patty I paid for. The menu cards are kept right next to the warming oven containing prepared foods, and I burned my hand grabbing a card, so watch out for that. It is very hot. The ‘grocery’ selection: VERY good. They have a fridge with green bananas, salted fish and pig tails. In the aisles there are Jamaican curries, scotch bonnet hot sauce in addition to other kinds, syrups, drinks, milo powder, tea, crackers, cookies, soap, tonics, all sorts of things. This portion of the restaurant is definitely a winner, especially considering how small the interior is. Overall, the food quality is a solid 4, but the quality of food service is poor compared to other restaurants. The grocery selection is also fantastic. I will most likely return in the future.

I went here for lunch today and ordered the lunch special which was the chicken curry, I got it with white rice and plantains. I opted not to get the cabbage. I placed my order to go and when I took it home to take my first bite. I felt something hard, thinking it was just a piece of chicken bone I went to take it out my mouth and found that it was a thin piece of metal. Pretty shocked about it and was a huge turn off.

The only thing I ordered was the ackee and it did not disappoint! I was so happy to find a local place that serves ackee and serves it well! There was no significant wait time and I received a large portion. I will definitely be going back!

Menu; however, no seating during lunch, fountain drink machine doesn’t work and will not make some items listed during lunch. The food we got was tasty.
