Residence Inn Killeen

Clean spacious rooms centrally located for the Ft. HOOD area. The pool area was clean and pool towels avl. Entrance well decorated modern. Water pressure and temp good drains well am all kitchenette well appointed everything you need to be completely comfortable.

Stayed for a week during a trip to Fort Hood, which was 10 – 15 minutes away. Residence Inn is my favorite hotel chain, and this location did not disappoint. Extended stay hotel with full kitchen, complimentary wifi, parking, fitness center. Pool was closed for renovation. Mixers Mon-​Wed with light supper and beer/​wine. Government rate and they also honored the tax exempt form. Shops and restaurants close by along Central Texas Expressway.
I had a friend visit, her flight was delayed and was due to come in while I was working on base. Hotel management worked it out by asking me for an authorization form. They held an envelope for her to pay for the taxi. She was able to check into my room without an issue. Will use this Residence Inn when my travels bring me back to Ft. Hood/​Killeen and definitely recommend!

We stayed here on Saturday, April 2, 2016, we booked through a third party (which did not tell us about their RIDICULOUS pet fee) $ 150.00 to be exact. This hotel should have a pet section OR book us into a room that had just received the «special» cleaning treatment. We couldn’t use the extra blankets in the closet because they were covered in human hair, along with the decorative pillow on the bed. DISGUSTING accommodations, so why we had to pay $ 150.00 to have the room cleaned because of our two hypoallergenic dogs (that were in a kennel the entire time). It’s BS and we will NEVER stay here or in any other Residence Inn again.

I am Gold Level with Marriott and I must say, we have a winner. WORST RESIDENCE INN. Congratulations.
The best part, is the long term residents who throw techno/​rave parties all night. Be sure to call the front desk and let them know the party has started at 2am so they can make note of it. Exciting party too — went on until 7:30am uninterrupted!
Don’t forgot the giant bowl of milk stewing in the corner with a dash of Quaker Oats for breakfast. You’ll be hungry for a good meal after your long night. Mmmm… soupy!
I’ll be sure to avoid this hotel the rest of my life.

This hotel is probably 1 of 2 decent hotels in Killeen. The rooms are huge and have a kitchenette, living area, and nice bathroom set up.
The front counter staff are very kind and accommodate any needs you have. There is a snack area for purchase and free breakfast. There is also a fun evening social hour with free snacks and drinks.
I give this hotel 5 stars because of the management inside and given the other hotels surrounding are less than impressive.

I have had the opportunity to stay at a lot of Marriott properties throughout the world and this property is among one of my best. The staff is amazing and very friendly. While they don’t have an executive lounge, they do provide a social, Monday thru Friday, with food and spirits. We have a small Pomeranian and they are very pet friendly and plenty of grass area to take your pet for a walk. They even provide pet waste bags around the grass area, I only wish more people would use them. Hint hint people. The property is located on the Texas Expressway and very close to almost everything including the military installation. They have a pool that is also well maintained along with a public «hangout» area for getting together with friends and family. If you are staying in the area, I highly recommend this property as it represents the Marriott properties very well.

This Marriott Residence inn is okay. The room is decent size with a nice kitchen. The toilet had power flush and the showers temp didn’t take long to adjust when you turn the knob.
The house keeping does a good job in cleaning your room when you’re gone for the day. They give you fresh towels when you run low.
What I didn’t like about my stay was the laundry facility. 2.00 for a wash and 2.00 for a dryer time of 30 min. I was disappointed when I went to retrieve my laundry from the dryer and it was still damp. I took my clothes and air dried them on the couch in my room lol. C’mon now!
The gym was super tiny dumbbell a went up to 40 lbs. I was so sad. My muscles depleted over there.
I liked the fact that there was complimentary breakfast and dinner along with Beer and wine. Free alcohol, good job!
The staff was friendly, but the laundry situation forced me to take a few stars away. I enjoyed my stay there. It was okay!

The rooms were a decent size. It is close to shopping and restaurants. There is a pool onsite, and a laundry. The fitted sheet on our bed kept coming out, as well as the mattress protector, and when we questioned the maid, she said they «were all like that»…Our other gripe was the air conditioning here. During the day, when we lowered the thermostat, it was like a meat locker in the room, but the same setting at night was hot!!! So it is either controlled from a central location or ??
We were there for a week in very hot weather so this was a major concern for us. The maid staff is nice and provides well.
Internet was spotty, and speeds were slow.

Best Value! Friendly staff, nice size rooms with kitchen area, and nice public dining area. Pool and grill available outside. Great location — close to all the restaurants on the strip and close to Ft Hood. Pricing meets companies allowable. Pet friendly too! Internet speed is decent (1Mbps wireless). I would have given this 5 stars, but it might get too hard to get a room! Actually, the only issue is it is hard to find unless you know to pull into the Holiday Inn parking lot.
