One of our fave pizzas ever since we discovered it!

Pizza is not something Texans do well, and Killeen is not the culinary center of the universe either; but these people truly know what great NY pizza is. I always judge a pizza by the plain first. Truly good pizza needs no toppings to help carry it. From the crispy, yet foldable crust, to the quality cheese, and the correct amount of delicious sauce; this one is a true winner! To all considering this place. PUTDOWNTHEDOMINOES, ANDCOMEHERERIGHTNOW! keep up the good work guys!

Great pizza, great crust, great staff. We’ve had cheese pizza, stromboli, and cheesecake too. All good. We’ll be back, probably next week! They even have a 24″ pizza for those big groups. Shared a 12″ pizza with a friend, $ 6 lunch!

This is the closest pizza I have found to the pizza I grew up with from the local pizzerias in New York City. The family that runs the business is polite and look to male sure you come back again. It is definite yes for me. I get a pie from here every Thursday.

Placed my first order for pick-up(they don’t deliver). Went to pick it up– the order was wrong. No biggie, mistakes happen. Had to wait 10 minutes for a new pizza to be made. Got the new, correct pizza, brought it home and it’s only so-so. It’s not bad, but it’s not stellar either. Toppings were skimpy, especially on the cheese(I ordered the big apple). I’m not picky but I really didn’t like the sausage. Like at all. I agree with another reviewer that said it’s more Jimmy Dean than Italian sausage. Unfortunately it was chopped so little and spread throughout the entire pizza it was hard to pick it all out. I wanted to like this place because it’s closer to my my new house, but I guess this style of pizza isn’t for me. I’d rather drive way further down FH street to my regular pizza place where the cheese oozes and the toppings truly accent the pie.

The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is for the dough of the pizza. We got the big apple and for the little toppings on it the pizza was greasy and not all the toppings were on it that the menu said it would. The Sausage was not italian sausage it was like jimmy dean. We also got a meatball sandwhich and it was meatballs from the freezer section. Subways meatballs are better! I think Bobby lupos on willow springs is better but there inconsistant. Just because it maybe better than the crap in Killeen you should not rate it 5 stars. A 5 star rating is 5 stars not hey its best here in Killeen. I based going here on New Yorkers saying it tasted like NY pizza. Maybe school pizza in New York. The marina sauce wasn’t good either tasted like a open the can and spead it on the dough. You take the time to make your dough carry through with your toppings and sauce and cheese. Its like burning your prime rib! k

The pizza at this place is authentic. I was not expecting to have a slice of real pizza in Killeen. My wife and I have traveled into Austin to get pizza because, until now, we didn’t like any pizzerias/pizza companies in and around Ft. Hood. We now have a place close to post we can go when we just want a decent pie that isn’t garbage.

The four stars are relative. I have to give it to NY pizza. Good pizza and great people. It’s not the best I’ve had but by far the best in killeen. No they don’t deliver. If you want easy order online from dominoes and punch yourself in the face. Worth the effort.

The absolute BEST pizza not only in Killeen but in many places I’ve been in the recent years while in the Army. I’m tired of hearing about Joe’s Pizza on Fort Hood Street. Take the time to travel a bit further and eat some real pizza! This place surpassed my expectations with their quality and deliciousness. If you’re a pizza lover who hasn’t tried NY Pizzeria I strongly recommend that you stop in this place and give it a taste. The staff is always friendly and professional. Their service is fairly fast. You won’t get out of there as fast as you would Little Caesar’s lol but you won’t be in there longer than you would at Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, or Dominos… Like many of the other reviews mentioned though, it will be worth the wait. You can’t rush greatness lol.

If you get a pizza be prepared to wait 40 minutes. It fulfills my want(need) for NY style pizza. I would say this pizza was about the cheese. I didn’t really like their sauce, which is normally my favorite part of pizza. I think next time I’m going to ask them to cook the pizza a little longer too as it wasn’t crisp enough for me.

Long wait time for a to go order. We ordered the extra large pizza which was massive! The dining area we very busy on a Saturday. Pizza did taste to New York style pizza. While I love some grease on my pizza, I have to say that a few of my pieces were drowning in it. If your looking for some stick to your bones pizza, this is it!

As a native New Yorker, their pizza does taste like a true neapolitano thin slice pizza. Tasted very good and the crust was thin and crispy. Had a conversation with the owner, they are originally from Elmshurst, Queens, one of the boroughs in NYC. The pizza are done fresh, on the spot when you order. My recommendation is to call and order your pizza before getting there, since you have to wait anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes for it to be prepared, baked, then served to you.

Went here on a Friday night and didn’t realize everyone else does too… Unfortunately, we walked in to order and had to wait, but the pizza was well worth it! We got a extra-large 28″ pizza for two because we absolutely love pizza, but this could have easily fed 4 – 5 people. But pizza leftovers are always awesome, and if you throw this pizza in the oven for a few mins, its just as good as the first time around!

When I travel, I usually abide by the«eat local» idea. In Texas, that means BBQ and Mexican food. I know better than to try To find good pizza here. But I decided to branch out a bit. This place is most definitely NOT authentic NY pizza as others claim. The crust here is good, but a too doughy & puffy to be true NY pizza. Service was a little lacking, and slow. 20 min for one slice and some wings at lunch? Slices take maybe 3 minutes tops. The only good thing here is that the wings seem to be baked and not fried, but even that is suspect.

This is the best pizza in town! I don’t know about New York style pizza but I do know that this pizza is terrific. Light crispy crust, great cheese, and fresh toppings. Not like all the other same old commercial pizzas. Seriously delicious. Only down side is wait time(20 – 25 minutes is the norm) and that their phone is usually busy(one phone line). And I wish they were open on Sundays and delivered. Oh! And if you order an XL, better fold down your seats or have a big enough trunk. Or a truck!
