Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea

The service at the Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea was held outdoors, which was very special and appropriate while here in Maui. The outdoor sanctuary is set within the ruins of a historical Hawaiian church, with a cross made of wood logs, an altar at the front, and several rows of pews. It was a very simple but beautiful setting. What made it particularly nice was that the sanctuary was surrounded on all 4 sides by green trees, natural brush and bushes, and palm trees. Also, while it was very comfortable temperature-​wise (I’d guess upper 70s on this morning), it was very very breezy. However, this just made the palm trees and shrubbery drift with the wind, and move around, swaying in the warm Maui breeze. Very very nice.
