Wayne is the most amazing guitar and ukulele teacher! He is kind and patient and is one of the best guitar players I have ever met. We liked him so much that we asked him to perform at my mother’s birthday party and he did a fantastic job. He always gives his all when teaching or performing. He is the best teacher out there!

There aren’t enough superlatives to adequately express what an amazing experience it is to learn to play an instrument with Wayne! Far beyond simply teaching the mechanics of making sound, from day one, he is teaching his students to be musicians and to truly feel the music. He blends the relaxed approach of living in the Island Style with a breadth of experience that comes from a lifelong commitment to his art. He has studied with great masters and willingly and joyfully shares his knowledge with anyone willing to learn. I extensively searched the San Francisco Bay area for a Slack Key teacher and was disappointed with the results. Wayne suggested lessons by Skype and it actually works! While I’d really rather «hang with Wayne» and learn from him in person on Maui, somehow, he is able to make the lessons equally as effective via Skype, despite the distance. Regardless of your level of musical expertise (or lack of) I assure you, Wayne has a lot to offer to you in experiencing a unique way of learning to play an instrument– and to relish the results.
