I use to run BBQ events in South Dakota and I invited Florida Skin and Bones to every event we ran. Not only do they provide great food they also have a great style and know what real BBQ is about. Their ribs are always spot on and the BBQ tacos are the bomb! I read the one review below from the Certified BBQ Judge that panned these guys. I will tell you that I am also a certified judge and am well aware that some of the biggest buttheads in the world are CBJ judges. I think it is best to judge vendors by the reactions we got from our crowds. They were always the most popular. t

I cook bbq comps and this bbq is the real deal. I would drive 1,000 miles for their bbq. It should be named«Spot on BBQ»

My wife and I went to the Swinetastic BBQ Competition in Frederick MD, and wanted to get some GREATBBQ. We saw the huge line and numerous BBQ trophies, at Florida Skin and Bones, so we figured«THISMUSTBETHEBEST»…well…It was not. We both ordered the single meat dinner, of pulled pork, cole slaw, and mac and cheese. First off… the pork: no smoke flavor ATALL, and unevenly cooked, definitely needed sauce to save it, and the sauce wasn’t good either(I tried both that they had). Cole Slaw– just mayo and cabbage and carrots– it was just as bad as the pork. Mac and Cheese-HOW DOYOUMESSTHISUP? Well, they did. NO Flavor of cheese at all and macaroni was mush. The meal was well over priced at $ 12 a meal then, combine that with a $ 212 oz Coca Cola in a can, it definitely was NOT worth it at all. My suggestion– eat McDonald’s because the value and taste is better. I just want to know what BBQ judges were tasting from these people? I did not see it.(BTW I am a Certified KCBS judge) It is a good thing there is not a rating below 1 star.
