The food was good and fast. They don’t serve pizza until 3, which we didn’t know. It was very clean and very cute. I did feel that some of the staff was a little impatient with us ordering, since there were 6 of us, but other than that, it was great!

I recently moved into the area and I had the pleasure of going to the Merc(as the locals call it) to get a sandwich and a drink. The sandwich was good, the pop was $ 2, and the guy with the pony tail was priceless. For some reason pony tail guy needed to tell me that he hates kids so he has a cat. I get small time charm but this guy has issues, as a person with kids I will spend my money elsewhere.

Well let’s start off with how we were greeted when we walked in the door we weren’t even greeted by the two kids that were in there neither one of them even acknowledge that we walked in the door. We walk to a table and then looked around to see if there were any menus still they didn’t say anything so I went back up to the counter to get the menus figure out what we wanted went back to the counter placed order. As far as the food goes it was okay too much bread not enough meat one piece of lettuce barely any mayonnaise really not worth the money or the effort to go all the way down there to get anything to eat. We ordered a pizza for take-home it was okay nothing spectacular I would say I would not be going back there again

My wife loves sandwiches! And I love my wife. We just moved to the area and haven’t found a sandwich shop yet that worth trying until visit this little shop. Appears to be family owned and operated and they are friendly. We had a Super Sub with pesto mayonnaise that was excellent! Sandwich was big enough to share and the veggies and bread were fresh! We will be back!!!

We live in the area and can’t say enough good things about this place! This review has been a long time coming. But our family is in the shop a few times a week and we stop in often for just a scoop of icecream($ 1 for cone!) or a bottle of wine from a well stocked selection. The Merc is a wonderful classic deli and small grocery. The service is ALWAYS wonderful — even when they are slammed(which is EVERYDAY at lunch! But worth the wait!!). We have had both the chowder and split pea soup and they are made from scratch! The chowder was absolutely wonderful. We have tried many of the HUGE sandwiches, but my favorite is the curry chicken salad or the Reuben. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The Merc is a living piece of Keyport history. The food is homemade comfort deli, the faces are always friendly and you cant beat the view.

I came here for, you guessed it, the Reuben! Nice little grocery store/sandwich shop located near the marina in Keyport. It’s small but what they lack in size they make up for in good food and excellent service. Everyone is super nice and they are more than happy to make substitutions and even stuff that isn’t necessarily on the menu. If you find yourself in Keyport the Merc is a must-stop. Even if you’re not hungry the grocery store has a good selection of drinks and snacks for the road.

Great place. You have to try their breakfast. Sausage gravy and side of bacon. Can’t bet it for taste or price. Always great service.

The sandwiches and salads are delicious! I have only had one pizza from there but I don’t like shrimp on pizza apparently so I can’t say much about that. Cute little place! Definitely good for a lunch date.

Great pizza! Worth the time to travel there. The lunch is good also. You must be in a pinch to buy a lot in the store as it is over priced.

First off the sandwich shoppe side is just okay. I live in keyport and when we first started going there the food was pricey but good. The last couple of years it’s gotten worse. They always seem to forget something off of my sandwich. Also many of times the bread has tasted stale. For the price you pay you’d think they would give you five star service. The shoppe/mini mart side is very pricey. They charge $ 5.50 for a loaf of bread! The markup is just ridiculous. I actually told the cashier«that will teach me to forget going to the store«. Never again will i shop or eat here unless i feel like throwing my money away.

So I was bringing my wife some lunch, when our first option rather unceremoniously decided to stop serving early. Well. A co-worker of hers suggested the Mercantile, so I went. Upon entering, I was immediately besieged by kindly elderly ladies. The dining area could be best described as small, homey and intimate. There’s also an outdoor dining area with a great view of the sound. Selection is pretty standard for a deli. Sandwiches and salads, either premade or from scratch. $ 20 got my wife and I lunch, sides, drinks and dessert, so not bad at all. Ice cream was really good, but selections are opposite sides of the spectrum(You can choose from vanilla or HUCKLEBERRYPOMEGRANATECINNAMONFACEPUNCH!!!). A great option for a nice, quiet lunch overlooking the water. My one negative note is that they only do their hand rolled pizzas after three P.M. Hopefully they’re able to find a way to start that sooner. Maybe hire a couple more kindly elderly ladies?

Talk about understated. Walking by,(and it is out of the way so that is unlikely), you would never guess they had great food and great people. Overall, the food is simple but high-quality and fresh. The pizza is plain, but the ingredients are top-quality, with freshly made dough and gourmet mozzarella… nothing fancy but tastes great! The sandwiches take awhile, but are fresh, well-apportioned, and reasonably priced. The salads are also ordinary, but fresh and ample. Three cheers for the Merc!

For one of the only healthy options in Kitsap County, head over to Keyport Mercantile. They make some pretty tasty sandwiches. The ingredients are always so fresh! I’ve had their curry chicken salad and turkey bacon avocado(the TBA) sandwiches and have be thoroughly satisfied both times. You can expect to pay about $ 7 for a sandwich plus a side of dill pickle, chips, potato salad, coleslaw, or corn/blackeye pea salad. I’ve never tried their ice cream or espresso but they also have those available.

The dude selling sandwiches at this place is a dead ringer for a young David Cross. Go there and you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s worth an extra star for sure! I had a southwestern sandwich special with green chiles and turkey and it was average. A tad gooey-ooey for me, but maybe you’d like it. I also had some ice cream that was regular ice cream, but at $ 1.50 it was very cheap. A cost of $ 10 for sandwich, small side, coke, AND ice cream was a great deal! The place reminds me of a Cape Cod type diner so that also endeared me as well. It’s a great place if you’re checking out the Undersea Warfare Museum or hanging out in Keyport, WA!
