Relaxed, great vibe, friendly staff and delicious food. All the Keys seaside eats you could hope to find, and everything we tried was simply first rate: coconut shrimp, conch salad(just needed a shake of salt and a dot of hot sauce), blackened hog fish tacos, and key lime pie. Cocktails were wonderfully tropical, strong but not too boozy tasting. Perfect. Charming spot right on the mangroves. Not sure what some other Unilocalers were saying that this place had seen its better days. It was easily the best food we had on the Keys all week. We will be back next trip for sure.

We stay at Geiger Key and love going to the restaurant. Dog and people friendly. The breakfast is good and love hog fish in any of their variations. And the view is beautiful! Highly recommend!

Let me start out by saying that my friends are locals and go here all the time. It’s their«go to» place and has a lovely canal view location. It certainly has the cred to be an awesome spot. However, I stopped thru today and had an horrendous experience. One person in our party ordered the hag fish«blacked» it came to us fried. It was sent back then a long time later returned laden with tons of bones and then caused a miserable bout of food poisoning. Nothing says«good times» like throwing up, chills, and advil every 4 hours. I decided to call and warn the place, in case they really didn’t know, as to spare any other customers, but when I talked to the manager, he acted like there was nothing he could do about it and claimed would call me back when he was not in the middle of «the busy time». Of course he never did. He even stooped so low as to blame our server, who was completely not at fault. also he did not seem the least bit sorry. It makes me sad that this place has taken a major nose dive. It used to be so awesome.

Great local place on the water! We were able to sit at the bar, watch football, and eat. The band was nice to listen to as well with good music. The bad bad shrimp were the best. Fish tacos were tasty as well as grouper cheeks.

Delish! Stopped in, sat at the bar, enjoyed the live music. Cold beer, great fish. I had the salad with grilled hogfish… very good! My husband had hogfish and chips, awesome! Great service, we will go back.

Geiger Key Marina & Smokehouse is an out-of-way, local restaurant at the marina at Geiger Key. It was introduced to us by friends who live in Key West. Sit at the bar or open-air tables at dock-side with view of the marina. We ordered a variety of fish sandwiches, salads, and specials off the blackboard. Overall good value and friendly service. Small Gripe: the 100% Agave Margarita, normally a sign of a quality drink, is ruined by the super-sweet lemon mix. Not the way to make an authentic, quality margarita. Driving Tip: About 8 miles once you leave Key West, and about 1.5 miles once you turn off Route 1. Signage is small and easy to miss.

Nice laid back atmosphere on the water with beautiful views. Service was decent and band they had was good. Been here a couple times and always get the Hogfish Tacos fried which are great. Now for the not so positive… Being a BBQ enthusiast and meat smoker I decided to try the Sunday Smokhouse BBQ. The variety of the spread as far as sides was decent. The chicken and ribs were brought out in pans and put on the grates on top of charcoal. Didn’t have any smoke flavor, no smoke ring, no bark nothing. The couple next to us sent it back because her chicken was cold in the middle. If you ask me it’s done in the oven, refrigerated and thrown on to heat up. Maybe that constitutes for KWBBQ but that wouldn’t fly in areas where folks know smoked BBQ.

Rockin’ the Geiger Key, Hey all Key West visitors, the heck with going down to Duvall Street everyday! You need to make a detour to Geiger key to Fish Camp @ Geiger Key Marina. Rhonda had grouper cheek sliders and Mike had lobster tacos. The tacos came with yellow rice with a medley of black beans and bell peppers onions etc. Rhonda sliders came with a mustard aioli and french fries both items on the menu were awesome! This place is rockin the Geiger Key! Ask for Todd as the waiter and help yourself to a refreshing rum runner drink… Fantastic food, hearty beverages and beautiful scenery… Don’t miss this when you’re visiting down in the keys. I will be back for the 4pm BBQ!

Really cute little place off the beaten path. Very friendly service. VERY delicious meals. My friend said the Cuban was the best he’s ever had. He is local and intends to come back soon with other friends! The blackened grouper sandwich had great flavor. My daughter had a lobster BLT that was very good. All in all a great meal, hope to make it back next time we are in town.

We love the food here! I strongly recommend the Pulled Pork Tacos when they have them on special. The Chicken tacos are awesome as well. Great atmosphere with great music. On Sunday’s they have breakfast and then a BBQ later in the day. My only downer is after a heavy rain the No-See-Ums are bad.

Brought five teenage boys and myself for lunch to this local place recommended by Cap’t Karen Of Venus Chaters. Tina came out and waited on us and was incredibly friendly right from the start. What a great lunch, we all tried different seafood dishes. I really enjoyed my BLT lobster sandwich until Ruben took it and I then I finished eating his fried shrimp. Manuel loved his shrimp quesadilla, Fernando had the shrimp Po boy and Arturo had the shrimp tacos. We started with an appetizer of fried calamari everyone loved everything. Nice lunch after a great day of snorkeling and dolphin watching. Will definitely put this on our come back to list.

This is authentic Key West from the food to the atmosphere! Between the 3 of us, we all had different drinks and all were delicious. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer as my meal and couldn’t even finish it; they were the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen. The sauce was awesome as well. The other two had the black and bleu mahi sandwich and the lobster BLT. We all RAVED about our food! The service was great and quick even though it was packed. The atmosphere was perfect being right on the water with lots of shade options. Several people passed us on kayaks, boats and jet skis. Even though it is August, there was a fan and we were shaded, so it was not too hot. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back every trip here!

We were staying across the water(like, actually across the inlet) in a camper and came on over for some of that fried goodness we were smelling all day. The menu is surprisingly well designed for what I would assume is a mom and pop shop. We both ordered drinks(frozen for me, beer for him) and sat on the very edge, closest to the fishies that were swimming around just below the dock. There was a dude playing island tunes and it was quite relaxing until his breaks — which was seemingly whatever someones non-beachy itunes playlist was. Our coconut grouper was probably my favorite — served with a chili sauce. The peel & eat were good as well, sprinkled with extra seasoning. Then we both had hogfish meals — mine was fried, his was blackened. All in all, good food. Nothing remarkable but also nothing terrible. My takeaways are… everything you get that’s fried will taste exactly the same. So if you get a fried app — your fried fish will be super similar. Maybe branch out. Also, if you get a beer, that beer will be sweaty and warm about halfway through. Bring a koosie. Ideally, bars would figure out how to help a sister out on this(ice bucket?). The price is too high IMHO. You could cut down the portion sizes and charge $ 10 instead of $ 14 for a meal and it would make more sense. It’s key west prices on Geiger Key but you can’t beat sitting right on the water.

We’ve been going there for 4 years and the only thing we’ve ever eaten was the hogfish. They seem to have had some service problems over the past two years. The hogfish is either really really good, or mediocre. We brought some visitors there a few weeks ago and it was delicious with large portions of hogfish. We’ve brought visitors again twice since a nd once it was good but very a small piece of fish. Today the fish tasted fishy like it wasn’t fresh and they used a different type of breading. I wish they could consistently have good food because we like to take visitors there from out of town. We did get an excellent male server today, for a change.

Wonderful! So good we rode our bikes 13 miles(each way) to visit a second time! LOVED the lobster BLT, conch fritters, lobster bisque, blacked hogfish tacos and more! The kitchen does a great job and the price is reasonable. Picnic tables at a marina, so very casual. You can see lots of fish in the water right by your table.
