I don’t get the hype, but my partner really liked her sandwich, cortado, and rice and beans. For my taste, Cuban coffee is way too sweet.

Absolutely a must visit in Key West !! This food truck set up is famous for the sandwich options and their most amazing Cuban coffee. I tried the iced coffee and it was absolutely delicious ! They have couple benches for outside seating area. The service was quick despite of the crowd.

Visited over MLK weekend based on reviews from fellow Unilocalers like you! It was totally worth the walk across the island. We had the Sunrise Special with chorizo, and the nice cashier let me substitute the notorious iced coffee for the normal coffee. The whole meal was awesome. The next day, on our way out of town, we stopped at the Key Lime Square location for another Sunrise Special and a ginormous iced coffee to get us through the drive back to Miami. Now that we are back in DC, I keep looking forward to my next trip to Key West for some more Cuban Coffee Queen or the day they bring Cuban Coffee Queen to DC! By the way, it helps to call ahead with your order. Lines can get long — for obvious reasons.

It’s a little coffee shack and it’s amazing. I had the Cuban coffee con leche sweetened – it was perfect. My husband and I split the Jose Marin, it’s a pulled pork sandwich on pressed bread with lettuce, tomato and onion. It reminded me of a Cuban style po boy. So good – and enormous, really good for splitting. It came with sides, we got the rice and beans, also very good. I’d go back, highly recommend.

I visited Cuban Coffee Queen in Key West a few months ago. It was awesome! It was the perfect destination for a long morning walk in Key West. My hotel was near the hustle and bustle of Key West which was great at night with close proximity for restaurants and other tourist attractions. But there were few breakfast options in the area so I decided to check this one out. I went twice during my stay and there was a line on both days. The coffee is amazing, especially the iced coffee. As was the delicious breakfast sandwich that I was able to save half of for later. This is a very casual but great quality breakfast place. Don’t miss it!

As a coffee lover I take coffee seriously… then I had kids and now I LIVE for it! A friend recommended this place to us and after the first sip of café con leche & cordito we were hooked. I mean its an addiction. We tweet, we post, and we drink this place. After long flights in we stop at this little shack of a coffee shop before we check into our hotel. Every morning my husband walks to get my fav… Café con leche and cuban bagel(which is more of a flatbread toasted lightly with cream cheese inside then drizzled with honey) it’s that good. I dream about this coffee. I feel really sad for you if you miss this while in the keys.

A key west must. Iced café con leche with coffee flavored ice cubes have become a ride home tradition. By the time you hit marathon the ice has melted and you have your second cup. The cubanos and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing and they come with a cute bag of like 2 chips and a lollipop. They deliver to most of the island so it’s great for a hangover but I also recommend calling your order in ahead of time before heading over if you feel you need to go pick it up.

My key wester breakfast sandwich was incredible. Don’t bother with breakfast anywhere else and try to eat yours by the dock if possible. There’s no reason not to.

We stopped here to pick up our morning coffee and breakfast after reading rave reviews about it. We got ice coffee and caramel frappé. We also picked up bagel cream cheese, guava bread and egg & cheese. The frappé was a little sweet for my taste but still very good. I will pass on guava bread.

The Shipwreck Sandwich is the best! It’s my third time in Key West and it’s a shame that it’s my first time here. I will definitely come back! Oh and the Cuban iced coffee will keep you awake ’til the sun sets! A must try here in Key West!

Small shack with great tasting food and coffee. The cortadito is the hot espresso coffee with milk and sugar that is a must try. If you are feeling hot then try the cold version.

Cuban Coffee Queen is a popular Cuban coffee & sandwich stand in Key West. Considering that Key West is only 90 miles away from Cuba, I gotta believe that Cuban Coffee Queen would be selling authentic Cuban coffees and food. Parking: Thank God there is a city parking lot here. Too bad this tiny food & coffee stand does NOT have tables to sit and you’ll have to sit on benches to enjoy your food. On the other hand, I actually bought a bag of coffee bean for $ 14 right before I left. *** Café con Leche(a Cuban espresso served with steamed milk — no sugar, hot — 12 oz for $ 2.25 tax included): Great aroma and not overly bitter(even without any sugar). A very solid coffee drink.(4⁄5) Havana Rice and Bean(Rice and black beans with choice of homemade, fresh roasted Mojo pork, Havana beef, or 2 fried eggs — pork, $ 7.50 tax included): Mojo pork was roasted almost to the point of melt-in-your-mouth. Great flavors from marination and everything tasted better as I progressed through each bite.(4.5/5) *** If you are looking for a light meal or breakfast option, this is great stop to satisfy your appetite.

BUCCI and COLATA Report… AWESOME! I have stopped here on numerous occasions and the bucci and colada are always consistent. Delicious and not too bitter, especially if you take it without sugar. The service was quick and efficient navigating the crowds with varying orders, and the line went quickly. If you are in the neighborhood and are looking for some coffee to kickstart your day, I recommend the colada. It’s the best bang for your buck.

Love. Love. LOVEIT! I had one Cuban sandwich the entire time I was in Key West and I am glad it was here. The textures, the flavors were awesome. I can’t imagine a Cuban getting any more authentic than this one. Had mine with a side of rice and beans and the wife gave me her plantain chips that came with her sandwich to round out the experience. The only thing that would have made this little place better are some tables and chairs for eating on. Basically there is a counter attached to the back of the hut but it is pretty well in the sun at lunch time and only a few seats. The benches out in front were pretty full of folks waiting for their orders so that was not an option. Still, even sitting on a curb in the adjacent parking lot eating my tasty Cuban sandwich did not diminish this experience.

I am not a coffee drinker, but my wife most certainly is. She raved about this coffee! The Cuban Coffee Queen is off the beaten path a bit but is next to a trolley stop on the island. There is some bench seating around the area, but that’s about it. Just show up, order coffee, and thoroughly enjoy. Coffee drinkers, mark this spot down!

Cuban coffee queen gets 5 stars for a variety of reasons. 1) iced coffee has coffee ice cubes which means the coffee never gets melted down. Brilliant! What a concept. The coffee itself with milk and sugar is high quality and made my morning. 2) coffee shots were delicious and well worth the price, with a little sugar and poured in front of you, really good. 3) warm café con leche was very good 4) Americans run the place instead of Cubans meaning no attitude given. And the coffee is better than Almost any Cuban place in Miami. Sandwiches — Morning sandwiches are probably in the 3.75 — 4 star rating. Bacon was so so, chorizo was a better option. Fresh bread pressed and good eggs.

Number 1: I’m pretty sure it should be mandatory to come down here for a photo with this gorgeous hand painted vintage postcard mural at least once during your trip. That’s what drew me to this place initially because I am all about anything vintage. I honestly wish they sold postcards of this lovely mural. I would have bought a boat load to send to all of my pen pals around the world. Number 2: The lady working the cash register had that great southern hospitality despite being quite busy with the crowd of people waiting to receive their order. I love anyone who can stay kind and polite while that busy. She took our order and cash while keeping up the genuine smile. Great customer service! My drink of choice was the mango smoothie. It had some other fruit friends in the mix but I’ve forgotten which ones by now. It was the perfect mix and quenched my thirst while also cooling me down on a typical hot and humid Key West day. These days are the norm here so it’s always good to know of a place that sells drinks to cool you down. This is the place to stop for one of those! Number 3: There is paid parking for the lots around this place and if you are going to stop in here for a drink or snack spend some time wandering this area because it is incredibly photogenic and will lend itself to some unique photo opportunities that shouldn’t be missed.
