I love this place in Key West! Great place and drinks. They give out FREE bacon. Cmon. What’s not to love about that? We had an amazing server, Bobby, who made our experience even better. During happy hour you get to roll the dice! How fun! Will make this another stop before leaving KW. I encourage you to add this to your list of stops.

It’s a very interesting place to eat. The outside patio is under a large banyan tree and protected by a large mesh net to keep debris out. Though we only had burgers and tacos, both were excellent in quality, fast service and amazing taste. The maple bacon bread pudding was very good for a desert. Watch the cocktails, they don’t skimp on alcohol. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth a return trip.

Don’t pass this one up because of the simple name. Bad A$$ food with a cool/unique view above.

After hearing so much about this place, I was disappointed with my visit. Had the calamari which was disgusting. It was bland. Tasted like they just put plain white flour on it and deep fried. All I tasted was fried white flour. The wings were gross. The coating was tasty but it wasn’t cooked long enough so the skin was soggy, nut crunchy like most wings. Loved the free bacon and roll a dice to pay for your first drink.

Service was a little slow to begin with but then started to become more consistent. Happy hour is dealt with in a fun and interesting way. Roll a dice and if you hit a 3 or lower, then your drink is discounted. What was really great was the food. Dinner service doesn’t start until 6, and we came a little before hand. But it’s still a nice place to hang out in the mean time. Dinner was FANTASTIC. The presentation was amazing and the food was equally as delicious. Definitely a must do for dinner if you’re visiting!

Good place to share played with friends! Recommend the mussels and calamari! We had difficulty finding a place to eat late at night in the Keys during Memorial weekend and my friend suggested going to 2 cents. I liked the atmosphere with the dangling lights and outdoor seating. You can really talk to everyone in your party because it’s not super loud. It’s by an interesting leather S&M store, but besides that the neighborhood is quiet. The food came out quickly and the server was attentive to our needs. Besides the mussels and calamri, I liked the nachos and meatballs. Everything is reasonably priced besides the entrees.

We couldn’t have picked a better place for lunch. Simple cuisine with a flair for flavorful. Delicious home prepared dishes, not too heavy, and interesting choices of draft beers. Huevos and the Buffalo salad are stupendous!

This is THE place to hit up for Happy Hour. As a vegetarian the free bacon does nothing for me, but the challenge of shaking for the price of your cocktail is always exciting. So far Lady Luck has always been on my side seeing as I may have paid $ 10 for what otherwise would have about been $ 70 worth of margaritas! Terrific crafted cocktails and blown away appetizer’s that are not your standard bar fare. Small little indoor bar area so arrive early if you want a spot in the a/c.

Yum. My husband actually said this is the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The sauce made the dish. Huevos rancheros was also delicious. Very fresh, perfect amount of food for breakfast. And the Bloody Mary is excellent. The donut, green beans and bacon are a nice touch, but the drink itself would be just as perfect without it.

Having our good friends Marisol and Glenn who know so much about Key West and so many local great places, this is the place they told us to come for breakfast before heading back home. We knew it would be great as they have never stirred us wrong. Off the beaten path from Duval street, you would not know about this gem without someone telling you about it or of course Unilocal. As soon as we arrived I saw an indoor bar area then the dining area is all an outside patio with plenty of tables and surrounded by the most beautiful foliage and gorgeous tree’s. After we told them we did not have reservations, as it was Mother’s Day the very nice gentleman said no worries we do not have reservations for another hour or so and they sat us at a table. Service was so great. They had water over right away then we started with blood orange mimosa’s which were very good. Very seldom do I eat breakfast so I was just making hubby happy so I ordered the mushroom and cheese omelet while my hubby ordered the Huervos Ranchero. When our dishes arrived rather quickly I was very excited to try my dish as the presentation was spectacular. After my first bite I knew we had hit the jackpot. I loved my omelet so much and hubby was in pure food heaven. We also ordered a side of toast and it was texas toast, thick, fresh and super tasty. All I thought was how I wish this restaurant was close to home because this place would surely make me a breakfast fan! Hipster, trendy, casual, very cool location with superb service, reasonable prices, and awesome food. No doubt this IS a place to come to while in the area. Thank you again Marisol and Glenn for such a fabulous recommendation. I look forward to visiting again while in the area.

We heard of this place from tv and asked the locals as well. We has a long day out on the boat. Showed up on the dinning side and was told they have no tables avail. We were walking out and a waiter told us to go to the bar there was room. I was so excited! I knew we weren’t dress correctly but we were hungry and did not care lol. We got the bone marrow app! It was out of this world! Full of flavor, creamy and with the pinch of sea salt they put on it was just right! For dinner we did the mini tacos and mini burgers. The mini tacos was not that great the chicken tasted funny to us almost precooked type. The burgers were delicious! I would give it 5 stars however like I said we were told they has no tables even thou half the place was empty.

Booked this place through Open Table while down in Key West after a long day of drinking. We had gotten off the Glass Bottom Boat and were working our way back to where our car was parked-about a mile away. Finding this place was no piece of cake-it’s on a side street and it’s not easily labeled. The sign doesn’t spell out«cents», it uses the symbol, and the sign is small. We get inside and there is a very terrace like feel which is very pretty. There is no obvious hostess stand at all, and when we checked in with a reservation they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about, but there were open tables, so it wasn’t a big deal getting one. We were seated(party of 4) in the back of the outdoor seating which is covered in terrace, and it took a solid 5 minutes before a waitress even came to the table to acknowledge us. Not even«I’ll be right with you guys» to indicate hey, I’m swamped, but I see you. There was a clear language barrier issue going on, since the Eastern European accent of the waitress and the Minnesota/Midwestern accent of BF’s parents obviously clashed. At one point someone asked for a «pop» which everywhere else means soda, and she heard«Pabst» of PBR, and brought a beer. Not quite sure what was going on or why, it took a while to get the situation figured out of why a beer was delivered to the table. Even after the whole Coke/beer situation was figured out, it never did get delivered to the table. Our food was decent but nothing amazing to write home about. I had a wahoo(fish of the day) on a salad but it was not a large portion, and I don’t eat much. The rest of us weren’t thrilled with the food, it was decent but that’s it. For over 100 bucks, it was overpriced. I wasn’t going to undercut the tip on the service due to forgetting a soda and lame overpriced food, but since we aren’t exactly locals and when we do come back to Key West, there are a ton of other restaurants I’d rather hit up instead.

The food here isn’t 2 cents, but its not horribly over priced either. There are both outdoor and indoor seating. We sat outdoors and gosh, these mosquitoes had me for dinner. Everything was good about the meal– the food and the drinks, but really, being bitten by mosquitoes was horrible. I got at least 8 bites all over my body and they were huge. Imagine going for dinner and having to scratch yourself the whole time. For drinks, there is this huge cocktail for 2 served in a huge glass shaped like a pineapple. I don’t remember the name of the drink but you must absolutely get it. Its perfect for 2 to share, but even more perfect to have it all to yourself. I had a burger here, it was huge and good. Didn’t have space for desert. Will be back but will sit indoors.

Bacon Happy Hour-great idea, and by the way, nice crisp bacon in a cool little bucket. You roll dice to see if U get a reduced price for happy hour. So, not a sure deal. We rolled twice and«won» full price. I had a supposed Belgian Ale. I say supposed because it tasted like a Coors light with dark food dye in it. Couldn’t finish it and I love beer. Just not Coors Light… The more disappointing thing was the Hibiscus Margarita. 10 bucks, virtually all ice, and to add insult to injury, it did not even get a full fill of the glass. Bartender must have got up on The wrong side of the bed that day.

Food = superb. Craft draft selection = one of the best in town. Service = highly professional. Atmosphere = Outdoor AND indoor both hip and comfy. The prices here are equal to any of the touristy eateries in KW but the food and atmosphere are leaps and bounds better. Do it!

I think this might be a better bar/evening spot than for brunch. Keep in mind I’m reviewing for brunch only. The atmosphere is adorable — it’s a bit off from Duval and has interior and exterior space. They have some interesting décor and it’s just a very pleasant little spot. The décor was one of my favorite things. The next best thing was the mimosa — a blood orange mimosa — that was really delicious and a great champagne to juice ratio. Made us want to come back for cocktails(and regretted not stopping in the night before). We ordered two breakfast dishes — the Hot Brown(proobbbabbbllyyyy a mistake in Florida, considering we lived close enough to Kentucky that nearly every restaurant around growing up had Hot Browns) and the Eggs Benedict with the Duck Confit. The Hot Brown was fine — the bacon was the best thing about the dish. Crispy and delicious. The rest… eh…It felt like they left any seasoning out of the dish. The mornay sauce was bland, their was not much turkey at all on it, and mostly I just tasted tomato in the dish. It just all lacked seasoning. Same with the Duck Confit eggs benedict. The eggs were poached well. But the duck didn’t have much flavor, the brussel sprouts were just ‘eh’, and the hollandaise lacked the normal punch it gives the dish. It was A-OK, but nothing to rave about. Overall, I would come back for the service/décor/drinks, but I think I would come in the evening next time and not for brunch.

Great Asian fusion food and fabulous ambience! We tried the chillies, pork patties and hummus for appetizers. For the entrée, the Moroccan chicken is orgasmic! The prawn fried rice was delicious too. And the drinks — Moscow mule Etc were super too! Must visit if you’re in Key West

My partner and I visited Key West for a week, and after touring a good portion of all the happy hours here, 2 Cents was our favorite. I was surprised to learn that a chef from a James Beard’s winning restaurant set up shop here in Key West. But as soon as you look at the menu and get some happy hour food, you can tell this isn’t exactly a place with boring oysters and conch fritters. The jalapeño poppers were a particular stand out for us — we even got a second helping because they were delicious fried goodness. We got a good portion of the happy hour menu to try out, and it was all tasty. The drink situation is kind of fun for happy hour — you have to roll a die to decide how much your drink is. If you’re lucky and roll a bunch of ones, you’ll be drinking pretty cheaply. However, if you roll a four or five or six, it’s full price. The drinks I’m talking about are premium drinks, not the rail drinks that everywhere else has one happy hour, and I really appreciate that aspect. I only went to 2 Cents for happy hour, but I certainly would return to try out their dinner, even at full price! For reasonably good and cheap food in Key West, this was our best option.
