Sadly to say, the Blue Cow is closed, and out of business. Hopefully the staff will be bringing their skill elsewhere soon. Wouldn’t post with no stars.

The Key Largo Cuban. My husband, son and I are spending a few days in Key Largo and I got a taste for a hot dog. I pulled my phone and found a check in deal for this little place in a strip mall nearby. The reviewers are right. Even though it was 30 minutes before closing, the gal seemed glad to see us. My husband had a traditional Cuban, I had a Key Largo Cuban and my son had a black angus cheese burger. All 3 were very good. The shop is small but the food and service is great. I hope to stop by in the morning to try their specialty coffees!

This place had the BEST service, no joke. I walked in, and even though there was only one working lady available, who was in the middle of cooking, she made sure to help me out ASAP. I came in on a search for key like pie on a stick dipped in chocolate(best thing ever, go to Circle K) and she was very very helpful in getting me to it! Also, although I did not try any, the ice cream flavors sounded delectable and the customers who were eating all looked very happy and satisfied!

Strip mall ice cream. ice cream strip mall. Yeah I’m livin like that. And I’m ridin like that. Boy I’m ridin like that. anyways, this place had a pretty big range of flavors, and like the name says it is a café as well. which means they also have nathans hot dogs and cuban sandwiches and more. i only had ice cream. the house made chai ice cream and it was very good on a hot night — some flavors were made in-house and some were blue bunny. friendly scooper guy answered all my questions and we tried a few different flavors before picking one.

The boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to the airport. We actually intended to go to the sub shop next door, but they were closed. The people working at Blue Cow were very friendly(this seems to be a Florida Keys thing). The shop was a bit busy when we were there but they were quick to serve, and with a smile. While waiting for our to-go sandwiches, the boyfriend and I grabbed some ice cream. He got lemon and blueberry Italian ice, which he was raving about. I got a scoop of cinnamon ice cream on a sugar cone, which was quite yummy and satisfied my sweet tooth. The boyfriend had one of their Cubans, which consisted of turkey, ham, pulled pork, and bacon. He chowed it down without pause, which was a good sign. I had the Italian grilled cheese on a croissant(yep, sandwiches on a croissant), and it was sufficiently tasty. Also, $ 1 hot dog Wednesdays, who wouldn’t be excited for that?

I stopped by this place only for ice cream. Menu was super confusing and seemed like they didn’t even serve what was on the menu board. For instance, they do not have soft serve & the employee informed me they don’t even have the machine anymore. They only had blue bunny ice cream. Sorry but I can go to the grocery store & find that. Was not impressed at all. I don’t know, maybe their food is better. Didn’t stick around long enough to find out.

Went here with the Unilocal Deal and it was fantastic! The sandwich I had was huge! I also had a coconut milkshake that was great as well! The woman working was extremely friendly! If I was a local this would probably be a regular stop.

I like this place but really wasn’t blown away. It’s just your standard ice cream place. Lots of choices and flavors. The ice cream was yummy. The service was okay, but I felt a little more rushed than ideally. Getting ice cream is about being in a state of complete relaxation after all.

Stopped by the Blue Cow during a vacation in Key Largo. The owner couldn’t have been friendlier. My wife and I ordered breakfast sandwiches on Cuban bread. They were inexpensive and yummy. Will certainly stop by during our next visit to sample more of the menu.

While on «vacation», I spent a few very long days in the Blue Cow Café working. Their wifi signal was strong enough for me to get lots of work done, and the owners and workers were friendly enough to keep my misery level down. I tried their coffee, breakfast, lunch, AND ice cream. All were fabulous and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this a place for food or dessert on your own or with family.

Mixed experience. A bit hard to find because this shopping center is not well marked. The croissant breakfast sandwich was satisfactory. My bf really enjoyed his semi-scrambled eggs and the fresh Belgium waffle had real maple syrup! Recommend avoiding the blended freezes go for a milkshake with coffee instead. They did a good job adding extra peanut butter to the peanut butter cup milkshake. The service was excellent.

Went here a few mornings for simple breakfast. The cappucino was very good — dry just the way I like it. Breakfast sandwiches are yummy and served hot. The owner is very nice and the staff is freindly.

I wish this place existed in Miami and I tend to think that business would be booming as long as there was foot traffic. Imagine the local, small ice cream shop of your childhood dreams, add a really great menu that includes grilled cheese, burgers, pb&j, etc, plus their own version of a killer sundae with tons of flavors to create your own and you’re on the right path. I was there on a Saturday night and the service was amazing! Polite, friendly, patient, efficient, the list could go on and on. If you’re staying in Key Largo this is an easy solution for a simple lunch. If you’re just driving through come grab some ice cream or a quick bite. Cherry on top? Free wi-fi Now, do you see why we need one of these in Miami?

Your quintessential, perfect, little, local ice cream shop. On crack. It has hard ice cream, soft serve, mix ins, blizzards, gelato, Italian ice, sundaes, individually wrapped stick items, real waffle bowls and cones. And that’s just the ice cream. They have real burgers made with Angus beef. They have breakfast sandwiches & Cuban coffee. AND, this being the keys, they have frozen key lime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick. Dude, this shit is for real. Service you ask? I was taking orders from a group of a dozen on a CELLPHONE(yes, I was that jackass) and hollerin’ them out as they were coming to me. Not one mistake. And free WiFi. It just doesn’t get much better then this.
