Cyclists beware. These folks have now decided they won’t permit bicycles in the rooms. We were told it was because someone had gotten grease on the carpet – funny thing was our room had no carpet! They also don’t have any storage area for bikes. Add to that the fact that the rooms were dark and dingy, there was one bedside table missing, and the tv didn’t get many channels, and you’ve got a place that might be worth skipping. Our friends stayed just down the road and had a much more pleasant stay.

Stayed there for less than 10 hours. Only reason I stayed is because it was cheap. But I did not expect this. If it wasn’t too late, I would have gone to another hotel. Room was filthy and smelled bad. Bathroom floor was cracked and caved in. No fridge. No ice machine.

Absolutely horrible place! Place is run down! People at front desk are very rude and sad to say I was actually dealing with a manager! We left and went to a different hotel!

This place was horrible. Stayed here June 2015. Granted, I had stayed at a very nice place in Key West for a week, had an early flight out and just wanted to be closer to MIA, but this motel was the pits. The last update appeared to have been done in the 1950s. The beds were uncomfortable, the air conditioner couldn’t get the room temperature below 78 or overcome the noise from Route 1. The room reeked of mildew which they attempted to mask with an electric Glade plug in. If your expectations are low, you won’t be disappointed. I dive in the Keys frequently and I get it that there are resorts and there are lesser establishments. This Rodeway is the least of the lesser establishments. Don’t bother.

I was reading the reviews for this and was not sure what to expect. Our hotel room was clean and the pool area was nice. The only bad thing is that they don’t have a ice machine, you have to get it from the lobby in a cooler. We stopped here to rest then to head down to Key West. The staff was nice as well. i would stop by here again when I come back to the keys.

In response to the terrible review about room 106, I also stayed in room 106 this past weekend. I’m not really sure why the other guest was so upset. This room smelled like a hotel room. There were no stains on the carpet, nor were any wets spots on the carpet. Trust me, I checked. The bathroom smelled like Clorox and was extremely clean. We were right off the highway, but all three of us staying in the room slept uninterrupted by any highway noise. This hotel is obviously not the Marriott, but I’m sure this room at the Marriott would have been three times the price. This hotel is awesome for the price, especially when you consider the location and the time of year. I loved this place and would stay here again! I recommend this place to anyone, 100%!!!

Only positive I can provide is this place is cheap. But that also comes with sparse amenities, a very hard bed, and awful/sandpaper sheets. It’s literally next to the roadway and very noisy as well.

Looking for a cheap place to stay while in the Keys? Then look no further than Rodeway Inn. We recently stayed here on a trip to the Keys and really enjoyed our stay. It fit everything that we wanted: affordable, clean, central location, and a pool. Compared to a lot of other places in the area, this inn offered the best experience. Besides, we came to the Keys to enjoy being outside and exploring. This inn is also located near a ton of great restaurants all within walking distance. I highly recommend the Stone Crab claws(when they’re in season) at Key Largo Fisheries. We stayed in one of the suites which had a fridge and microwave that made keeping drinks and leftovers very easy. The best part about this place? The staff. They are incredibly friendly and accommodating with great recommendations for dining, outdoor activities, or day trips. It was also obvious to us that they are working hard to update this location so I imagine it will be even more pleasant to stay here next time we come. Also, be sure to stop by the Key Largo Inn Tavern(on site) and grab a piña colada from the bartender when it’s hot or a craft beer from an impressive list of beers.
